Later on that afternoon, in front of XYZ Agency Building

 

Seohyun was waiting for Hyoyeon to pick her up since her new boyfriend insisted to send and fetch her from her workplace everyday. She kept on glancing her wristwatch as it’s already past 30 minutes after she called Hyoyeon. He told her earlier on the phone that he will arrived a bit late since he need to drop by somewhere to pick something.

 

“Hmm.. why it took him so long?”, Seohyun mumbled while searching for her phone inside her handbag. She was about to unlock the phone screen when suddenly her phone’s ringing.

 

“RING! RING! RING!”

 

She immediately smiled when she looked at the caller’s ID.

 

“Hello, babe? Sorry for keep you waiting. I parked my car at the side of the road since I can’t enter your building area. It’s quite packed there. Can you please walk here?”, Hyoyeon said.

 

“Sure, wait for me there, okay?”, Seohyun replied as she ended the call and started to walk. After few minutes of walking, she spotted Hyoyeon was waiting for her outside his car. She smiled and quicken her pace to reach to her lover.

 

“Hey, sorry for keep you waiting”, Hyoyeon said soon after Seohyun approached him. He gave a peck on her cheek.

 

“Gwenchana”, Seohyun replied as her face flushed. She didn’t know why, but she still felt shy whenever Hyoyeon did his loving gesture and action on her. Hyoyeon in the other hand, felt amused with her shyness as he loved to teased the latter.

 

“So, shall we go now?”, Hyoyeon said while opening the car’s door for her.

 

“Yeah, let’s”, Seohyun replied as she immediately slid herself inside the car. Hyoyeon closed the door and rushed to the driver’s side.

 

“Babe, I want to take you to somewhere before we go for dinner”, Hyoyeon said soon after he get inside.

 

“Where to?”, Seohyun asked while looking at him.

 

“Ermm.. you will know later”, Hyoyeon replied smilingly while starting to drive his car.

 

“Haishh.. just tell me now!”, Seohyun whined cutely.

 

“Aigoo.. so cute”, Hyoyeon said gigglingly. Seohyun slapped his arm as she blushed.

 

“Okay, okay. I want you to meet someone. But I can’t tell you right now. You will find it later when we arrived there, okay?”, Hyoyeon said while back and forth glancing at Seohyun and the road at the front.

 

“Okay”, Seohyun smiled faintly while turning her attention on the front.

 

“I wonder who’s the person that he wanted me to meet with”, she thought as she started to feel uneasy. Hyoyeon kept on glancing at her, and smiled to himself. He then took Seohyun’s hand with his free hand, and brought it on his lap. He caressed her hand gently with his thumb. He seemed to know what’s playing on his girlfriend’s mind. Seohyun just smiled while looking at their entwined hands.

 

After 40 minutes of journey, finally they reached at the place that Hyoyeon wanted to bring her to. Seohyun gasped as her eyes widened.

 

“C-cemetery?”, the first word that came out from . Hyoyeon just giggled while looking at her cute shocking expression. He then turned off the car’s engine.

 

“I told you I want you to meet someone, right? So, let’s go”, Hyoyeon said as he went out of the car. He then rushed to open the door for his girlfriend. Seohyun still frozen at her seat.

 

“Babe, come, let’s go”, Hyoyeon said as he held out his hand to Seohyun. She then grabbed his hand, and slowly went out of the car.

 

“A-are we going to meet that person in here?”, Seohyun asked as she started to feel uneasy. Hyoyeon smiled while intertwining their hands together.

 

“Yes, baby. And, don’t worry. We’re not going to bump with any ghost here”, Hyoyeon said playfully which earns a slap on his arm. He chuckled while pulling Seohyun’s hand to walk to the car’s trunk. He opened the trunk, and took a small bouquet of red roses. He closed back the car's trunk, and grabbed Seohyun’s hand.

 

“Let’s go”, he said while starting to walk into the cemetery area, followed by Seohyun on his side. After few minutes of walking, they finally stopped in front of a grey marbled grave. There’s a small picture of a beautiful short-haired girl, with a name and some words that engraved on it. Seohyun slowly read the name and words.

 

“In loving memory of... Nicole Jung-Kim. 1991 - 2013”, she mumbled slowly. She then gasped.

 

“S-she’s Hyoyeon’s late wife”, she thought. Her chest suddenly felt tighten. Hyoyeon slowly released their entwined hands, and took out the wilted roses from the small vase, and changed it with the new one.

 

“Hey, sweetie. How are you?”, Hyoyeon said with a smile while his hands busy clearing the dust on the grave. After satisfied with his cleaning work, he stopped and sat down beside the grave.

 

“Did you still remember that the last time I came here, I want to introduce you to someone? So, I brought her here today”, he’s talking to the grave while glancing at Seohyun who was standing still in front of the grave.

 

“Babe, come here”, Hyoyeon called her, gestured her to come near him. Seohyun slowly walked to Hyoyeon with a heavy heart. She didn’t know why, but she felt a sudden twinge of guilt for being here, and to the fact that she is now having a relationship with a widower.

 

“Let’s sit here for a while, okay?”, Hyoyeon said to her. Seohyun just complied, and slowly sat next to him. Hyoyeon pulled her closer, and sneaked his arm around her waist. Seohyun was startled, but then she just let him be.

 

“Sweetie, this is Seo Joohyun, my future wife”, Hyoyeon said smilingly while glancing at the latter. Seohyun on the other hand, was surprised to hear the words that uttered by Hyoyeon just now.

 

“F-future wife?”, she thought.

 

“I came here with her, so that you can know the person that I’m going to live with. I..”, Hyoyeon paused as he suddenly felt his chest tighten. He felt a slight tear rolled down his cheek, but he quickly wiped it off as he doesn’t want Seohyun to notice on it. He then dug his pants pocket, and took out a small pink box. He released his arm from Seohyun’s waist, and opened the box.

 

“I w-want to marry her, Nic. I.. I n-need your blessing”, Hyoyeon stuttered. He couldn’t control his emotion anymore as tears slowly rolled down his both cheeks. Seohyun felt sorry for him, and she immediately hugged him by his side, slowly caressing his back. Deep down, she knew that Hyoyeon still couldn’t forget his late wife, but he wanted to move on. That’s why he brought her here, to seek the blessing of his beloved one. Seohyun slowly understand him. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a strong wind blowing, passing through the grave and the couple. Hyoyeon was shocked at first, but then his lips slowly formed a smile. He knew, his late wife has already gave her blessing for them.

 

“She said yes”, Hyoyeon said while wiping his tears using his palm. Seohyun chuckled while slapping his arm.

 

“You still can joke at the place like this, huh?”, Seohyun said as she tried to cheer him up.

 

“I’m not, Hyunnie ah. Nicole really did that”, Hyoyeon replied. He then turned to his side, facing the latter. He took her hand, and slowly took a deep breath before he started to speak.

 

“Seo Joohyun, will you please marry me? I know this is so sudden, but I can’t live without you even for a second. I fell in love with you at the first sight, just like I fell in love with Nic. I know, you might feel like I’m trying to equate, or to compare you with Nic, but for me, my love for both of you is sincere and equal, not less, and not more. So, will you marry this pabo, Hyunnie ah?”, Hyoyeon said as he proposed her. Seohyun was speechless at first, but she slowly nodded her head. She knew Hyoyeon is sincerely loving her as he never failed to make her feel special everyday ever since she broke up with Sooyoung and Changmin. Hyoyeon then took her hand, and immediately slipped the ring that he brought earlier on Seohyun’s finger.

 

“Gomawo, Hyunnie ah”, Hyoyeon said again while hugging her tightly. “I love you”, he whispered to her ear.

 

“I love you too”, Seohyun replied with a smile carved on her lips. After all this while, finally she found her true love. And, on top of that, right now she’s already engaged, and will getting married soon. Hyoyeon then released the hug, and slowly cupped her face, kissing her lips. Both of them shared their passionate kiss for the first time as an engaged couple. While they were kissing, suddenly a strong wind blowing in their direction. Both of them immediately released the kiss.

 

“See that? Nic is blessing us, Hyunnie ah”, Hyoyeon said smilingly. Seohyun couldn’t help but to chuckle on his words as she found it funny. He then slowly got up, and gently pulled Seohyun’s hands, helping her to get up too.

 

“Alright, we should leave now”, he said while intertwining his hand with Seohyun’s. “Goodbye, Nic. I will come by with Hyunnie to visit you again next time”, he said while looking at the grave.

 

“Goodbye Nicole, and thank you”, Seohyun mumbled slowly and bowed. Both of them then walking hand in hand to the main gate of the cemetery, heading to the car.

 

At The Jung’s resident

 

“Nervous?”, Jessica asked while looking at Sooyoung’s unpleasant face.

 

“Well, I’m lying if I say no. I’m going to meet my future in-laws, though!”, Sooyoung replied, which earns a giggle from the latter.

 

“Don’t be nervous okay, baby? My mom and dad don’t bite people”, Jessica said as she tried to calm down her nervous fiance while fixing his collar. Both of them were already standing in front of the main door of the Jung’s resident. Jessica then pressed the doorbell.

 

“DING! DONG!”

 

A few seconds later, the door swung open, revealing the tall and beautiful black-haired girl who was standing at the doorstep, in front of SooSica couple.

 

“Unieeeeeeee...”, the girl exclaimed excitedly as she dashed forward to hug Jessica.

 

“Woo.. woo.. slow down, young lady”, Jessica said as she almost fell backwards. Sooyoung just giggled silently.

 

“I missed you, unnie”, she said while playfully sobbing.

 

“Haishh.. this kid. I miss you too, baby”, Jessica replied as she kissed her baby sister’s cheek. She then pulled off the hug, and shifted her gaze towards the cute tall guy beside her sister.

 

“Unnie, who’s this giant?”, her baby sister whispered. Jessica giggled and playfully slapped her arm. She then pulled Sooyoung’s arm to get closer to her.

 

“Baby, let me introduce. This is Choi Sooyoung.. my fiance. And, sweetie, this is my baby sister, Krystal Jung”, Jessica said. Krystal’s eyes widened.

 

“Hi, Krystal! Nice to meet you”, Sooyoung said as he held out his hand to shake hands with Krystal.

 

“Mwoh? You’ve already engaged? When? Where? Err.. nice to meet you too, Sooyoung oppa”, Krystal replied in surprise. She then shook her hand with Sooyoung’s. Sooyoung just giggled.

 

“Haishh.. too many questions. Let’s get inside. I’ll explain later, okay?”, Jessica said while dragging both of them to get inside the house.

 

“Daaaddd.. mommm.. unnie’s here!”, Krystal shouted soon after the three of them entered the house. Not long after, a middle-aged woman came out of the kitchen, and walking to the living room. She has a look just like Jessica.

 

“This must be Mrs. Jung”, Sooyoung thought.

 

“Krys, next time please don’t shout. I’m not deaf yet, sweetie”, she said which earns a laughter from the two girls.

 

“Sorry mom, can’t help.. hehe”, Krystal giggled as she wrapped her arm around the middle-aged woman’s shoulder.

 

“Momm.. I missed you”, Jessica then leaned closer to hug her.

 

“I miss you too. How are you, sweetie?”, the middle-aged woman, Mrs. Jung returned the hug and gave a peck on her eldest daughter's cheek. Jessica returned the kiss on her mother’s cheek before she pulled off the hug.

 

“I’m good, mom”, Jessica replied. Mrs. Jung then shifted her gaze towards Sooyoung. Jessica noticed on it, and immediately pulled Sooyoung’s arm to get closer to her.

 

“Sweetie, who is this young man?”, Mrs. Jung asked while looking at Sooyoung from head to toe. Sooyoung just smiled at her.

 

“Mom, this is Choi Sooyoung.. my fiance”, Jessica introduced him to her mother. Mrs. Jung’s eyes widened as she was in surprise.

 

“Annyeong haseyo, Choi Sooyoung imnida”, Sooyoung said as he bowed to the middle-aged woman.

 

“Mwoh? You’ve already engaged? When? Where? Err.. annyeong, Sooyoung ssi”, Mrs. Jung bombarded her with questions, but then greets Sooyoung at the same time, makes her both daughters and Sooyoung chuckled on her action.

 

“Mom, you sounded exactly like Krys just now”, Jessica said, still laughing.

 

“Waeyo? I’m just asking you since this is so out of the blue”, Mrs. Jung replied as she was still in a confuse state. “I thought you’re still with Dongwook?”, Mrs. Jung added which later makes Jessica flinched over her words. She then let out a sigh.

 

“Mom, Krys, can we have sit first? I need to talk to both of you about this. By the way, where’s daddy?”, Jessica said while grabbing Sooyoung’s wrist, gesturing all of them to move to the living room. The four of them then walked towards the couch, and took their respective seat.

 

“Your dad is in the reading room. He said he need to send an email to his important client” Mrs. Jung replied. “So, what is it that you want to talk about?”, she asked while looking intently at her eldest daughter. Jessica took a deep breath, and released it slowly. She looked at Sooyoung, and her fiance just let out an assurance smile, patting her hand as he encouraged her to start telling the truth.

 

“Well, the thing is, mom, me and Dongwook has already broke up a month ago. And, after we broke up, Sooyoung proposed to me, and we got engaged right after that. I’m sorry for not informing you earlier mom, Krys”, Jessica said as she shifted her gaze on the floor, feeling worried that her mother will not disagree with her engagement. Mrs. Jung was speechless at first, but then she slowly let out a smile.

 

“Well, I guess, Sooyoung here really want to have a serious relationship with you, sweetie. Right, Sooyoung?”, Mrs. Jung said while looking at Sooyoung.

 

“Huh? D-dae.. M-Mrs. Jung”, Sooyoung stuttered nervously while looking at the floor, didn’t dare to look at Jessica’s mother.

 

“It’s mommy from now on, sweetie”, Mrs. Jung said smilingly.

 

“D-dae, m-mommy”, Sooyoung uttered as he still felt awkward to call Jessica’s mother just like she wanted.

 

“Aww.. that’s very sweet of you, mom!”, Krystal who was silent since then dashed to hug her mother.

 

“I’m always sweet when it comes to my daughters happiness. Anyway, how did you know each other?”, Mrs. Jung asked as she interested to know more about their encounter.

 

“Sooyoung and I used to work together in the drama that I’ve starred. He worked with his uncle who’s also the owner of the production house that produced the drama. That’s the place where I met him for the first time, mom”, Jessica explained to her mother. Jessica’s mother just nodded her head.

 

“Then, what about Dongwook oppa, unnie? Why did you guys broke up?”, Krystal asked. Jessica let out a sigh before she replied.

 

“He cheated on me, Krys. I found out about it when I came over to his apartment on one day. He.. he was making out with that bit.. I-I mean that girl, which later I found out that she’s a rookie star who happened to meet him at the nightclub”, Jessica replied as her voice trembled. If she could, she didn’t want to remember or talk about the incident again. Sooyoung caressed her hand gently, trying to soothe the latter.

 

“I’m sorry to know that, unnie”, Krystal said as she felt sorry for her sister. “Aaaanyway.. congratulations to both of you!”, Krystal exclaimed while walking towards them and gave a hug to both of them from the back. Sooyoung and Jessica just chuckled on her antics.

 

“Congratulations to both of you, sweetie”, Mrs. Jung said to them.

 

“Hey, what’s the occasion here?”, suddenly a deep voice interrupted, causing them to flinch.

 

“Daddyyy..”, Jessica exclaimed while immediately getting up from the couch, and dashed towards the old man who just entered the living room. She hugged the old man tightly.

 

“Hey, sweetie. It’s been a while since you’re not coming home, huh? How are you?”, the old man said as he returned the hug.

 

“I’m good. I’m sorry, dad. I was busy with my schedule. I promise I will come home often after this, okay?”, Jessica replied. Sooyoung on the other hand just smiled while staring at both father and daughter bonding, but then felt nervous when suddenly his stare got caught by the old man. He then pulled off the hug, and walked towards the couch, followed by Jessica from his back.

 

“Yeobo ah, come and sit here”, Mrs. Jung said while patting the couch, gesturing her husband to sit next to her. Mr. Jung just complied, and sat next to his wife. He kept on staring at Sooyoung. Sooyoung on the other hand, felt rather nervous as he gulped his saliva. Jessica was about to sit next to Sooyoung, but being stopped by his mother as she grabbed her wrist. She then sat next to Krystal.

 

“Who’s this young man, jagiya?”, Mr. Jung asked in curious.

 

“He’s Jessica’s fiance, yeobo ah”, Mrs. Jung replied.

 

“Mwoh? Jessica’s fiance?”, Mr. Jung said in surprise.

 

Sooyoung quickly got up from the couch, and bowed to Mr. Jung. He introduced himself to the old man. Mrs. Jung then started to explain to her husband about Sooyoung and Jessica. Mr. Jung asked him to sit down. He kept his stare at Sooyoung as he curled up his forehead, looking rather serious.

 

“I see. So, may I know who’s your parents, Sooyoung?”, Mr. Jung asked in serious tone.

 

“M-my dad’s name is Choi Jungnam..”, Sooyoung was about to continue when suddenly Mr. Jung cut off his words.

 

“W-wait.. Choi Jungnam? That famous architect? The owner of Choi Corporation? He’s your father?”, Mr. Jung asked in surprise.

 

“D-dae”, Sooyoung replied nervously.

 

“Continue then”, Mr. Jung said.

 

“My.. my mother’s name is Moon Sohee. She recently retired as a teacher, and right now is a full-time housewife. I had a sister named Choi Soojin. She’s working with my father”, Sooyoung replied, informing about his family background.

 

“Good to know that. You know, me and your father used to attend the same university. But he’s my one year senior. Your grandfather is a famous architect too, you know”, Mr. Jung said.

 

“Dae, Mr. Jung”, Sooyoung replied.

 

“It’s daddy, Sooyoung. Call me daddy from now on”, Mr. Jung said with a smile. Mrs. Jung, Jessica and Krystal were surprised with his words. Mr. Jung used to be serious person when he met his daughters friends for the first time. But, he’s actually a nice and friendly person.

 

“D-daddy”, Sooyoung muttered.

 

“Wow! You’re pass with flying colors, Sooyoung oppa. Welcome to the family! Ouchh..!”, Krystal yelped in pain as she received a smack on her back head from her sister. Mrs. Jung just shook her head while looking at her daughters’ childish behavior.

 

“So, Krystal. I heard that you want to introduce us to your boyfriend. Where’s he?”, Mr. Jung asked.

 

“He will be here in any minute, daddy”, Krystal said smilingly.

 

“DING! DONG!”

 

“Hah, that must be him!”, Krystal exclaimed excitedly while immediately got up from the couch, and ran lightly towards the door. A few seconds later, she walked hand in hand with a tall fair-skinned guy to the living room.

 

“Attention, guys! Let me introduce you to my boyfriend here, Choi Sulli”, Krystal said soon after she entered the living room. Sooyoung’s eyes widened and immediately jolted up when he saw the tall guy.

 

“Sulli?”, he said in surprise. Sulli immediately turned his head to Sooyoung’s direction.

 

“Soo hyung?”, Sulli said as he was in shock. Krystal and the rest looked at them weirdly.

 

“You know Sooyoung oppa?”, Krystal asked him.

 

“Yes, he’s my cousin”, Sulli replied.

“Mwoh?”
