Silver lining - Part 2

 

“Mwoh?”, Seohyun was surprised as she immediately released her hand from his arm.

 

“Haishh..”, he hissed as he scratched his head. He suddenly felt regret over his foolishness, making an earlier confession towards Seohyun who has just broke up with Sooyoung. He doesn’t want Seohyun to think that he’s taking advantage over the situation.

 

“I’m.. I’m sorry, Seo. I shouldn’t said that to you”, he said as he apologized. Seohyun then walked closer to him. Hyoyeon immediately closed his eyes as he’s ready to accept any consequences that Seohyun might took on him. He thought at least he will earn a slap from the latter. That’s what he thought at the moment. He then heard a soft chuckle.

 

“Huh?”, he slowly opened his one eye, and he saw Seohyun was covering with her hand.

 

“You’re so funny, Hyo. Don’t worry, I’m not going to hit or slap you for what you had said just now”, she said. She then let out a soft sigh before she continued to speak.

 

“It’s just that, just give me some time to think about it. You know that I just broke up with my ex-boyfriend, and it’s hard for me to start a new relationship all of a sudden”, she said as she smile faintly.

 

“Hmm.. yeah, you’re right. I understand, Seo. I’m sorry once again for causing you feel uncomfortable with my sudden confession”, he apologized again.

 

“It’s okay, Hyo. Please don’t feel burden by that. I’m fine with it”, Seohyun replied.

 

“Alright. So, I’ll see you again. Just give me a call once you and your team have done with the meetings”, he said.

 

“Okay”, she replied. Hyoyeon then headed back to the driver’s side to open the door, and slid inside his car. He waved at Seohyun and slowly drove his car away. She just watched Hyoyeon’s car moving away until it disappeared from her sight.

 

“I’m sorry, Hyo”, she mumbled sadly as she slowly headed back to her office building.

 

Back to Seoul Hospital

 

“Tiffany, me and your dad have to go now. Hayeon will be coming back from school in a few minutes. We will come to visit you again on tomorrow, okay sweetie?”, Mrs. Kim said as she caressed Tiffany’s hand.

 

“Okay, mom. Sorry for troubling both of you to come here”, Tiffany replied.

 

“It’s okay, dear. We feel relieved and glad that you and the baby are fine”, Mrs. Kim said.

 

“Tae, just stay with Tiffany while she’s here, arasso? You don’t have to go to work until she’s discharge from the hospital”, Mr. Kim said while looking at Taeyeon.

 

“Arasso”, Taeyeon replied. Mr. Kim then walked towards Siwon who was standing at the corner of the room.

 

“It’s nice to meet you, Siwon ssi. I’m so sorry once again on behalf of my family, and hope we can meet you again someday”, Mr. Kim said as he gave him a fatherly hug and patted on his back.

 

“Please don’t say that, uncle. I’m okay with it”, Siwon replied as he returned the hug. Mr. Kim released the hug and patted on his shoulder.

 

“Alright, we need to go now”, Mr. Kim said.

 

“See you again, Siwon ssi”, Mrs. Kim bid goodbye to Siwon. Siwon bowed to her and smiled. Taeyeon parents slowly walked out of the room.

 

“Oppa, come here”, Tiffany said as she patted the bed, gestured Siwon to come near to her. Taeyeon who was sat at the edge of the bed next to Tiffany since then just watched them as he didn’t mind because they had already settled the problem on their early encounter. So, they’re now on good terms. Siwon just complied, and walked towards the bed. He sat on the chair next to bed. Taeyeon on the other hand thought that Tiffany and Siwon should be given some time alone to have their talk.

 

“Babe, I’ll be at outside for a while”, Taeyeon said as he got up from the bed.

 

“Taetae, where are you going?”, Tiffany asked while grabbing his hand.

 

“Gwenchana. Don’t worry about me. You guys deserve a talk”, he said as he smiled in assurance while glancing at Siwon. Siwon just let out a small smile.

 

“Okay”, Tiffany replied as she just watched Taeyeon slowly leaving the room.

 

“Oppa, are you okay now?”, Tiffany asked. Siwon took a deep breath and let it out slowly.

 

“I'm lying if I say I'm okay, Tiff. I’m practically hurt, but I do this for the sake of your happiness”, he answered honestly.

 

“Mianhada.. I'm sorry, oppa. I know, what I did to you was wrong and unforgivable, but at least I have told you the truth. I could tell a lie if you ask me, but I'm not like that, oppa. I don’t want to live with the guilt bear throughout my life. I want to live in peace without any enmity with you, oppa. I hope someday you can forgive me”, Tiffany said as her voice started to crack. Siwon then took her hand, and caressed it gently.

 

“I’m sorry for hurting you too, Tiff. If I could think straight, you’ll not end up being here. I’m sorry”, he apologized.

 

“It’s okay, oppa. So, now we’re even, right?”, she said.

 

“Yeah, you can say that”, Siwon replied as he chuckled too.

 

“Yah!”, Tiffany exclaimed as she smacked on Siwon’s arm. Without they realized, Taeyeon was eavesdropping their conversation. He let the door slightly ajar earlier.

 

“Glad that they’re okay now”, Taeyeon mumbled slowly as he smiled.

 

Later on that night, at XYZ Talent Agency

 

“KNOCK! KNOCK!”

 

“Come in!”, Seohyun shouted from inside her room. Her assistant then slowly entered her room, and walked to her desk.

 

“Miss Seo, is there anything else that you want me to do?”, her assistant asked. Seohyun glanced at her wristwatch, and shifted her gaze to her assistant.

 

“I think no. You can go back now”, Seohyun said.

 

“You don’t want to go home, Miss Seo?”, her assistant asked.

 

“It’s okay. I need to finish up some works before could I go home”, she replied with a smile.

 

“Arasso. Good night, Miss Seo!”, her assistant bid her goodbye before she left the room.

 

“Goodbye!”, Seohyun replied while shifting her gaze back to the laptop screen. She then stopped typing on her laptop, and leaned her back on the chair. She swiveled her chair around and stopped when facing the window of her office room. She stared at the dark sky outside while putting her arm on her back head. She let out a heavy sigh.

 

“Why I can’t get you out of my head, Youngie ah?”, she mumbled. She ruffled her hair into mess, and swiveled her chair back facing the laptop. She couldn’t concentrated on her work anymore, so, she just shut down the laptop, and tidied up her desk. She took her belongings and got up from her chair, fixed her messy hair back before she left her office room.

 

“I better get myself drunk tonight”, she mumbled to herself. She planned to go to the nightclub to release herself from all the sadness of her broken heart, and the broken relationships which she had before.

 

Back to Seoul Hospital

 

“Where are you going to stay tonight?”, Taeyeon asked Siwon in concern since the latter just came straight from the airport to Tiffany’s apartment. Both of them were at outside the room. The nurse had just put Tiffany to sleep after giving her the medicine.

 

“I’m going back to my parent’s house”, he replied.

 

“Let me send you home”, Taeyeon offered for help.

 

“It’s okay, Tae. You should wait here for Tiff. I can go by myself”, Siwon said.

 

“Please, let me send you. That’s the least that I can do for you”, Taeyeon replied as he insisted to send Siwon home. At least he could lessen his burden of feeling guilty towards the latter. Siwon let out a soft sigh before he started to speak.

 

“Alright, if you say so. Let’s go”, Siwon said as he got up from the chair.

 

“Do you want to take your luggage at Tiff’s apartment?”, he asked as he too got up from the chair.

 

“Nah, it’s okay. I’ll come by to take it on tomorrow . I have a spare key with me”, he replied.

 

“Oh, okay. Let’s go”, Taeyeon said as both of them immediately headed to the elevator.

 

At the nightclub

 

“Urghhh.. Choi Sooyoung.. you’re pabo! Seo Joohyun.. you’re pabo too..hahahaha.. hikk!”, Seohyun was sober while slumping herself on the couch at the nightclub. She was actually felt so depressed until she drank four bottles of beer. While she was in her own world, suddenly two handsome guys approached her.

 

“Hey, beautiful! Are you alone here?”, one of the guy asked while sitting next to Seohyun. The other one just stood next to her.

 

“Heh? Are you blind? Can’t you see I’m alone here? Stuuuuupiddd.. urghh..”, she said while massaging her temple.

 

“What did you call me? You called me stupid, huh?”, the guy said he felt insulted. “Come here, let this stupid guy entertain you, !”, he continued as he started to hug Seohyun. The other guy just watched them, laughing while drinking his beer from the bottle.

 

“Yah! Get out of my way! Let me go!”, she yelled while struggling to release herself from the guy. The guy laughing while trying to kiss her. While the two were wrestling on the couch, suddenly the guy felt someone’s tapping on his shoulder.

 

“Excuse me. You’ve disturbing my girlfriend here. Get out of my club before me and my men kick your out of here”, the voice sternly said. Yes, Hyoyeon was the owner of the nightclub, and Seohyun didn’t know about it as she just went there for the first time.

 

“H-Hyo?”, Seohyun was surprised to see Hyoyeon was talking to the guy.

 

“Who the hell are you, midget?”, the guy snobbishly asked as he smirked. Hyoyeon’s bouncers immediately dashed towards the rude guy, and grabbed his collar and arms. Hyoyeon then gave a hard punch on his face.

 

“Urghhh...”, he groaned in pain. His lips was bleeding. His friend has already ran away from the place. Hyoyeon grabbed his collar, and was about to give another punch, but he still have a heart, as he doesn't want to hurt the guy with more severe.

 

“Who are you calling midget, huh? I give you a last warning. Don’t you even dare to show up in here again. Or else, I’ll kill you. I really mean it. Now, apologize to my girlfriend, and then get lost, you bastard!”, he yelled on his face.

 

“Urghh.. I.. I’m sorry, Miss”, he said as he cringe in pain. Seohyun who was still sober just nodded her head slowly.

 

“Kick this bastard out of here. I don’t want to see his face anymore!”, Hyoyeon ordered his bouncers. He then dashed towards Seohyun and helped her to get up from the couch.

 

“Dae!”, the bouncers bowed to him, and then dragged the guy towards the exit door.

 

“H-hyo.. why are you here?”, she weakly asked with her eyes half opened.

 

“I'm the owner of this nightclub, Seo. Come, let me send you home”, he said as he put Seohyun’s arm on his shoulder and hold her waist tight. He slowly walked Seohyun out of the club, heading to her car.

 

“Mr. Hyo!”, the bouncer bowed at him soon after he saw Hyoyeon went out of the club.

 

“Can you please help me to open the car’s door for my friend here?”, he said as he handed the car keys to the bouncer.

 

“Sure, Mr. Hyo!”, the bouncer replied as he took the car keys, and unlocked the car's door. He immediately rushed to the passenger’s side to open the door for Seohyun. He then slowly put Seohyun to sit on the passenger’s seat, and slowly closed the door as the latter has fallen asleep.

 

“Thanks, buddy. I’m going back early cause I need to send my friend home. Just keep an eye on our nightclub. I don’t want anyone to create chaos anymore”, he said to the bouncer.

 

“Sure, Mr. Hyo, you don’t have to worry”, the bouncer said as he bowed to him. Hyoyeon then rushed to the driver’s side, and quickly slid inside the car. He immediately drove away from the nightclub, heading to their apartment building.

 

 

Later on that night, at TaeYulSoo’s apartment

 

After sending Siwon back to his home, Taeyeon went back to his apartment for shower and changed his shirt. He then packed some of his clothes since he will be going to stay at Tiffany’s apartment to take care of her after she will discharge from the hospital.

 

After he has done with packing, he took his backpack and went out of his room.

 

“Tae, where are you going?”, Yuri who just came out of the kitchen asked him.

 

“I’m going to stay at Tiffany’s place for a while. She’s not feeling well”, Taeyeon replied.

 

“Oh, really? Is she sick?”, Yuri asked. Taeyeon took a deep breath before he replied.

 

“She’s actually having a bleeding after she fell on the floor. She’s now at the hospital”, Taeyeon explained.

 

“Mwoh? Oh, god! What was happened actually? Did you have a fight with her?”, Yuri asked again as he was surprised.

 

“Haishh.. it’s not like that, Yul. It’s a long story. All I can say is this incident involving her ex-boyfriend, Siwon. But, you don’t have to worry because everything has been settled between us and him. I’ll talk to you about it some other time, okay? I need to go now”, Taeyeon replied. Yuri was about to continue to speak when suddenly a voice interrupted their conversation.

 

“Yul.. babyyyy!”, a woman’s voice shouted from Yuri’s bedroom. Taeyeon raised his brows while looking at Yuri.

 

“Haishhh..”, he facepalmed himself. His face flushed as he felt embarrassed with Taeyeon.

 

“She’s here?”, Taeyeon asked.

 

“Yeah..”, he replied in short.

 

“Wow, you guys, really! Can’t be separated like twins, huh?”, Taeyeon said as he giggled.

 

“Well, well, well. Look who’s talking! Aren’t you and Tiff just like that too?”, Yuri exclaimed annoyingly.

 

“Hehehe.. yeah”, Taeyeon chuckled. “Speaking of that, where’s our beloved Sooyoungie?”, he asked as he turned his head towards Sooyoung’s bedroom.

 

“Huh, where else? At Jessica’s. He texted me just now that he’ll be having a sleepover at her place tonight”, Yuri replied with a sly smile.

 

“Mwoh? Jinja? He’s with Jessica now? Wow.. I can’t believe this!”, Taeyeon said in surprise.

 

“Yeah, me too at first. You know what? Today we coincidentally had our lunch at the same restaurant. We saw Soo with Jessica at first, and it happened that his girlfriend, Seohyun came later with her client to have their lunch too. She got bumped with Soo, and I don’t know what happened after that. But, they seem to have been able to solve their love problems”, Yuri said.

“Jinja? Wow.. I didn’t know he will ended up with Jessica. I thought she’s still with Dongwook”, Taeyeon replied.

 

“Nah, she broke up with Dongwook just because she fell in love with Soo. Lucky Soo, huh? Two women fell in love with him at one time”, Yuri said as he laughed.

 

“Hehe.. yeah. Our Sooyoungie is a romantic and caring person. Who wouldn’t, right?”, Taeyeon said as he chuckled. “Alright, I need to go now. Tiffany is waiting for me at the hospital. I’ll see you later, buddy”, Taeyeon said as he walked towards the door.

 

“Yeah, see ya. Send my regards to her”, Yuri replied while following Taeyeon behind.

 

“And, Yul, don’t mess up the house. If you want to do ‘that’, do it in your room, okay? I don’t want to see any stains left on my couch, got that?”, Taeyeon said as he warned the tanned guy.

 

“Y-yah! What are you talking about?”, Yuri exclaimed as he quickly raised his hand to hit Taeyeon’s head. Taeyeon successfully dodged his hand and ran away while laughing.

 

“Urghh.. this midget. I’ll get you later!”, he yelled while showing his fist at Taeyeon before he closed the door.

 

At Seohyun’s apartment

 

“Where’s the key?”, Hyoyeon mumbled while opening Seohyun’s handbag to look for her apartment’s key. He still hold Seohyun’s body with one arm while the other hand still looking for the key.

 

“Hah, maybe this one”, he mumbled again after he found the key. He tried to unlock the door with the key, and he successfully opened the door with one try. He blocked the door with his foot, and he slowly dragged Seohyun to enter inside.

 

“Urghh...”, Seohyun groaned. Hyoyeon then closed the door and he quickly walked Seohyun to the couch. He slowly laid her body on the couch.

 

“Urghh.. where am I?”, she asked while massaging her forehead.

 

“At your apartment. You need to rest first, okay?”, Hyoyeon said. He was about to walk to the door when suddenly Seohyun grabbed his hand.

 

“Huh?”, Hyoyeon was startled while looking at his hand.

 

“Can you please stay?”, Seohyun asked. Hyoyeon was surprised at first, but he felt sorry for her, so, he decided to stay.

 

“Okay”, Hyoyeon replied. He then walked back to sit on another couch.

 

“Can you please massage my head? I feel dizzy”, Seohyun asked.

 

“Okay”, Hyoyeon just complied, and he moved to sit on the edge of the couch where Seohyun was lying. He carefully lifted the latter’s head, and put on his lap. He slowly massaging her head. After a few minutes, Seohyun slowly fell asleep.

 

“Haishh.. what should I do now?”, he mumbled while leaning his back on the couch. He stared at Seohyun who was sleeping peacefully on his lap. He her hair gently.

 

“If only you could accept me, Seo, I’ll take care of you, for the rest of your life”, he mumbled. Not long after that, he slowly dozed off.
