:: Blood is thicker than water - Part 1 ::

 

Later on that night, at YulTaeSoo apartment

 

After having their lunch earlier, Yuri and Yoona decided just to stay at home as Yoona still in jet lag. They just ordered Korean takeaway food for dinner since Yuri doesn’t like to eat fast food. Well, he’s a fitness instructor, and of course he just ate healthy food, though! LOL!

 

So, here they are at the kitchen, having their dinner together in a lovey dovey mood, feeding each other while chatting on random things.

 

“Yulbaby”, Yoona said while feeding her fiance.

 

“Yesh?”, Yuri replied while munching his food. He turned to look at Yoona.

 

“Hmm.. can I know about your family?”, Yoona asked as she fed herself. Yuri stopped munching his food as he was taken aback with Yoona’s question just now. Ever since they got together he never opened up with Yoona about his family. He just kept silent. Yoona noticed on his sudden change.

 

“Baby, is there anything wrong?”, Yoona asked as she put down the spoon, and put her hand on Yuri’s shoulder.

 

“Huh? Ermm.. noh-thing..”, Yuri replied while continue munching his food. He immediately swallowed the food, and took a glass of plain water. He slowly drank the content, but only half of it. “I’m done”, he said before he got up from the stool, and walked out of the kitchen, leaving Yoona dumbfounded.

 

“Now, what’s wrong with him?”, Yoona curled up her forehead, mumbled to herself while she too got up from the stool, and brought the dirty plates and glasses to the sink. She washed the dishes while keep on thinking of her fiance’s sudden change. After she finished washing dishes and clearing the table, she went to the living room. When she couldn’t find Yuri there, she then headed to the bedroom. She slowly opened the door, but Yuri was nowhere to be found.

 

“Urghh.. where is he? Don’t tell me that he’s leaving me alone here”, Yoona said as she grumbled while heading back to the living room.

 

“Yul? Kwon Yuri! Where are you?”, Yoona called out his name.

 

“I’m here!”, Yuri shouted from the balcony. Yoona saw the sliding door was slightly ajar, and she quickly walked to the balcony.

 

“Hey, what are you doing here? I thought you’re leaving me alone here”, Yoona asked soon after she entered the balcony area. Yuri who was sitting on a chair just chuckled over her words.

 

“I’m not, babe. Come here”, Yuri replied as he held out his hand to grab his fiancee’s hand. He pulled Yoona’s hand to sit on his lap. He sneaked his arms around her waist, and leaned his head on her back before he let out a sigh.

 

“Baby, are you okay?”, Yoona asked as he patted on Yuri’s hand. She started to feel worried after Yuri didn’t answer her question during their dinner earlier.

 

“Then, why are you suddenly become so quiet? Is it because of..”, Yoona was about to continue when he suddenly cut off her words.

 

“I’m okay. It.. it’s just that.. I don’t really like to talk about my family”, Yuri said hesitantly. Yoona then slowly released herself from Yuri’s arms, and got up from his lap to sit on the chair next to him. She took Yuri’s hand, and brought it to her lap, caressed it gently.

 

“Baby, it’s okay. If you don’t want to talk about them, just forget for what I’ve asked earlier, okay?”, Yoona said softly. Yuri just let out a faint smile.

 

“I.. I really want to bring you to meet them, but I think it is still not in the right time. I’ll try to sort things out with them later. I’ll bring you to meet my parents later, okay? I promise”, Yuri replied as he tried to convince his beloved one. Yoona then leaned closer, and hooked her arm through his, and leaned her head on his shoulder.

 

“Like I said earlier, it’s okay. You don’t have to force yourself, okay?”, Yoona said while rubbing his arm. Yuri just smiled over her words while nodding his head.

 

“Ermm… what about your parents? Can I meet them?”, Yuri asked.

 

“Well, my parents got divorced when I was small. Right now, my dad is living alone, never remarried as he was busy running his own restaurant. My elder sister has got married, and have her own family, but we still meet and gather together whenever we have a free time at my dad’s house. If you want to meet my dad, I can arrange for us to meet him someday, how about that?”, Yoona replied, and tilted her head to look at Yuri.

 

“I’m okay with that”, Yuri said smilingly. He gave a peck on Yoona’s lips. “It’s getting cold here, let’s get inside”, Yuri said while slowly releasing his arm from Yoona’s. He then got up from the chair, and pulled Yoona’s hand to help her to get up, but the latter was still glued to her chair.

 

“Wae?”, Yuri asked, curled up his forehead.

 

“I wanna piggyback ride”, Yoona said with a pout.

 

“Aigoo this kid.. so cute!”, Yuri giggled. He then squatted his body down. “Hop in”, he said. Yoona immediately hopped onto Yuri’s back. Yuri quickly stood up, and carrying his childish girlfriend who was laughing non-stop when he purposely bouncing while walking inside the apartment.

 

Back to the Jung’s resident

 

“You know Sooyoung oppa?”, Krystal asked him.

 

“Yes, he’s my cousin”, Sulli replied while nodding his head.

 

“Mwoh?”, Krystal said in surprise.

 

“He’s right. I’m his cousin. My father is his father’s older brother”, Sooyoung added.

 

“What a small world, huh?”, Mrs. Jung said while smiling. “Alright, Jungs and Chois, let’s go to the dining room, and we can proceed our chatting while having dinner”, she continued.

 

“Dae”, all of them replied in unison while following Mrs. Jung to the dining room. After taking their respective seat, the maids started to serve the food for them.

 

“So, Sulli ssi, tell me about yourself. How long have you been knowing my younger daughter here?”, Mr. Jung asked while taking a sip of a plain water.

 

“Ermm.. we’re actually studied at the same university in U.S. back then, Mr. Jung”, Sulli replied.

 

“Just call me uncle”, he said with a smile.

 

“Err.. ermm.. u-uncle”, Sulli replied as he smiled sheepishly. Krystal just giggled while looking at her shy boyfriend.

 

“Ehemm!”, Mr. Jung cleared his throat while glaring at his younger daughter. Krystal immediately covered with her hand, and composed herself while continue eating her food quietly. Mrs. Jung, Jessica and Sooyoung just giggled silently while looking at both father and daughter’s antics.

 

“Why am I feeling like having a job interview here?”, Sulli thought as he felt nervous.

 

“So, what are you doing right now?”, Mr. Jung continued his more-like-interview question to Sulli.

 

“I’m working as a part-time model here in Seoul. I’m actually preparing to work as an intern at my father’s company branch here”, he replied.

 

“Ah, good to know that. Children should inherit their parents’ business, am I right?”, Mr. Jung said while glancing and smirking at his both daughters. Jessica just rolled her eyes annoyingly.

 

“I know that, dad. But, you have to accept the fact that your daughters here are not interested to inherit your business. We have already had our own goals in life, am I right, baby?”, Jessica replied while looking at her baby sister.

 

“Yesh, yuw are wright, unnie”, Krystal said while munching her food.

 

“Haishh.. this young lady. Can’t you just swallow your food first before talking?”, Mrs. Jung snapped at her younger daughter. Krystal covered and swallowed her food. Both Sooyoung and Sulli just chuckled, feeling amused with the Jungs antics.

 

“Mind with them, boys. They’re always like that since they were kids. But, honestly, I really don’t mind of whatever career they choose, because at the end of the day, I just want them to be happy with their life”, Mr. Jung said.

 

“Aww.. that’s very sweet of you, daddy!”, Krystal replied with a wide smile. Jessica just smiled over her father’s words, same goes with Mrs. Jung and the Chois.

 

“You seemed like both of your daughters choice, huh?”, Mrs. Jung said soon after Sooyoung and Sulli bid their goodbye to the Jungs.

 

“Well, they came from the well respected family, and well educated too. They treated our daugthers well. They’re passed with distinction”, Mr. Jung replied.

 

“Really, dad?”, Krystal suddenly back hugging her father. Mr. Jung gasped.

 

“Y-yah! Haishh.. this brat! You almost give me a heart attack. You want me to die early?”, Mr. Jung said while smacking on her arm. Mrs. Jung just shook her head.

 

“Oww.. daaaddd.. it hurts!”, Krystal whined as she immediately released her hug from her daddy.

 

“Serves you right! Who told you to do that?”, Mr. Jung snapped at her.

 

“Aigoo.. stop it you two! It’s getting late now. Just get inside!”, Mrs. Jung snapped at both of them.

 

“Uh-oh! Sergeant Jung is mad right now!”, Krystal playfully said as she sprinted inside the house while laughing.

 

“Urghh… I’ll get this kid later!”, Mrs. Jung said after she closed the door, and earning a chuckle from Mr. Jung. Mrs. Jung giving her famous icy glare at her husband which causing the old man to quickly covered his mouth with hand.

 

At The Kim’s resident

 

“I’m home!”, Taeyeon said soon after he entered inside the house. The house was already quiet since it’s already midnight. He just came back from work.

 

“Hey, oppa! You’re back”, Hayeon said after she came out of the kitchen with a mug in her hand.

 

“Why are you still not sleeping yet?”, Taeyeon asked while slumping himself onto the couch at the living room. He looked tired.

 

“I’m thirsty, so, I came down to the kitchen to have a drink”, Hayeon replied and sat on the couch next to her brother.

 

“Tiffany unnie already asleep?”, Taeyeon asked.

 

“Yup, I think about an hour and a half ago”, Hayeon replied while sipping her drink.

 

“Alright, I will go upstairs first. And, you, young lady! Don’t stay up too late. You need to go to school tomorrow, arasso?”, Taeyeon said as he got up from the couch.

 

“Arasso oppa. I know. Good night!”, Hayeon replied.

 

“Good night!”, Taeyeon said while ruffling his little sister’s hair.

 

“Yah, oppa!” Hayeon cried while fixing her messy hair.

 

“Sorryyyy!”, Taeyeon said while running lightly to upstairs while laughing.

 

Taeyeon slowly pulled the door knob, and carefully entered inside while closing back the door. He slowly tiptoed to the bed where his fiancee was sleeping soundlessly. He knelt down on the floor of the side where Tiffany was facing, and chuckled slowly while looking on how cute his fiancee was sleeping while hugging her Totoro plush toy.

 

“I’m sorry for keep you waiting, baby”, Taeyeon whispered while slowly caressing her cheek with his back hand. Feeling the sudden touch on her cheek, Tiffany startled while slowly open her eyes.

 

“T-tae-tae..”, she weakly said while trying to get up. Taeyeon quickly got up from the floor and sat next to her on the bed.

 

“Shhh… go back to sleep, okay? I’m sorry to disturb you”, Taeyeon said as he patted her arm gently, tried to comfort her back to sleep.

 

“Have you eaten?”, Tiffany asked in concern.

 

“Yes, I’ve already eaten. I need to shower. I’m stink. You go back to sleep, arasso?”, Taeyeon replied as he slowly got up from the bed.

 

“No.. I’ll wait”, Tiffany said with a weak smile. Taeyeon just giggled.

 

“Arasso, arasso. I’ll make it quick, and then we can sleep after this”, Taeyeon said as he gave a peck on her cheek before he headed to the bathroom.

 

After took about 5 minutes of shower, Taeyeon went out of the bathroom, and walking to the closet to take his pjs and quickly wore it. He then turned around, and found Tiffany was already closing her eyes, sleeping. She already put her Totoro on the floor. Taeyeon smiled, and slowly walked to the bed. He carefully lie himself on the bed, not wanting to wake his fiancee up.

 

“Huh?”, Tiffany startled with a sudden movement on the bed. Taeyeon slowly pulled her to his embrace, and patted on her back to comfort her back to sleep.

 

“Shhhh… I’m here.. let’s sleep, okay?”, Taeyeon whispered.

 

“I love you. Good night”, Tiffany said while cuddling comfortably onto his chest.

 

“I love you too, sweetheart. Good night”, Taeyeon replied, and kissed on top of her head. Not long after, both of them slowly dozed off.

 

Back to YulTaeSoo apartment

 

After making sure that Yoona has already fallen asleep, Yuri slowly released himself from her hug, and got up from the bed, tiptoed out of the room. He walked to the sliding door, and opened it slowly. He then sat on the chair at the balcony as he wanted to do his thinking.

 

“Haishh…”, he ruffled his hair while thinking of what Yoona had asked him earlier about his family.

 

“What am I supposed to do?”, he mumbled to himself.

 

After he moved out from his family’s house, he made promise to himself that he will be back after he successfully become an owner of his own fitness center. He wanted to prove to his older brother that he was right in choosing his own career path, unlike his brother who worked with his family’s company.

 

Although he had been working under Jaejoong for a long time, his savings was still not enough to open his own fitness center. He then took out his savings account book, and flipped through the account statement pages one by one. He stared at the last statement, and the number of the amount. What others didn’t know that, his mother was actually secretly bank-in several amount into his another savings account. The amount actually was more than enough to open his own fitness center, but, being an independent person, he wanted to use his own money.

 

“Just let go of your ego, Kwon Yuri. You’re not going anywhere if you still want to follow your stupid principle!”, he said to himself. He then put back the savings account book inside his pants pocket.

 

“Alright, I will discuss with Jaejoong hyung tomorrow. I can make an investment, and become a shareholder of his fitness center. Then, I can proudly bring back my fiancee to meet my family. Kwon Yuri, fighting!”, he exclaimed slowly while pumping his fist to the air. He smiled widely as he finally found the solution on how to face his family again. He stayed at the balcony for a while, enjoying the midnight view of Seoul city before he went back inside his apartment.

 

At HyoSeo apartment building

“Are you sure you want me to sleep at your apartment tonight?”, Hyoyeon asked Seohyun soon after they came out of the elevator. They just got back from having dinner and night strolling. They were heading to Seohyun’s apartment.

 

“Wae?”, Seohyun replied as she stopped walking. She turned to look at Hyoyeon.

 

“I mean, I don’t want to disturb you. You must feel tired and need a rest”, Hyoyeon said while looking at their entwined hands. Seohyun just smiled.

 

“Anniyo. I’m your fiancee right now, and I want to spend as much time with you. We can start with having a sleepover at my place, and then yours”, Seohyun replied as she started to walk back. She mentally cursed herself as she couldn’t believe on what she had said just now. She felt a sudden heat on her face.

 

“Jinja? If so, I’m gladly to do that.. hehehe..”, Hyoyeon said as he chuckled dorkily. He was beyond happy as he too couldn’t believe on what Seohyun had told him just now.

 

“Yah! Don’t think of anything else!”, Seohyun snapped at him as her face reddened. Hyoyeon just laughed over her words.

 

“I’m not, Hyunnie ah. I will wait until you said you’re ready. I just want to hug you while sleeping, that’s all”, Hyoyeon said while grinning.

 

“Haishh.. this ert!”, Seohyun mumbled to herself, but loud enough to be heard by Hyoyeon. He just chuckled. Seohyun then opened the door, and pulled Hyoyeon’s hand to get inside.

 

“Impatient, huh?”, Hyoyeon smirked as he teased his fiancee.

 

“Y-yah!”, Seohyun exclaimed while smacking his arm, feeling embarrassed. Hyoyeon laughed as he felt amused teasing her.

 

“Alright, I will go inside the room and shower first. Your turn is next, arraso?”, Seohyun said after they went to the living room.

 

“Aye aye, captain!”, Hyoyeon replied while playfully salute to her. Seohyun just laughed at her dork fiance antics while heading to the bedroom. Hyoyeon then sat on the couch, leaning his back as he felt tired. Not long after, he slowly dozed off.

 

“Hyo.. Hyo.. wake up”, he startled when he felt something cold touching his cheek. He slowly opened his eyes, and saw Seohyun was already in her pjs.

 

“Oh, you’ve already showered”, Hyoyeon weakly said.

 

“Yes, sweetie. Get up now, you need to shower first”, Seohyun said as he pulled Hyoyeon’s hands to help him to get up.

 

“Sweetie? I like that!”, he thought as his lips slowly formed a smile. He just followed Seohyun who was leading her to the bedroom.

 

“Alright, I’ve prepared your towel and pjs on the bed. You can use that, okay?”, Seohyun said.

 

“Okay”, he replied as he took the towel and headed to the bathroom. Seohyun then went out of the room.

 

“I have already showered!”, Hyoyeon said as he got out of the room, wearing his pjs. There’s no response. “Huh? Where’s she?”, Hyoyeon mumbled while walking to the living room. He then smiled when he saw Seohyun was lying on the couch, sleeping.

 

“Aigoo, she must felt tired”, he mumbled as he bent down a bit, sliding his hands under Seohyun’s body, and carefully lifting her, carried her to the bedroom. He carefully laid her down on the bed. Seohyun startled with a sudden movement.

 

“Huh?”, she slowly opened her eyes, still in dazed. Hyoyeon who was sitting on the bed next to her just smiled, and pulled the covers on her. He switched off the light on the side table, and slowly lie down on the bed. He was about to pull the cover when he suddenly felt Seohyun putting her hand on his waist while snuggling to his chest. He smiled again, and slowly sneaked his arm under her neck, and hugged her.

 

“Good night, Hyunnie ah. I love you”, Hyoyeon whispered as he kissed her forehead before he dozed off. Without he knew, Seohyun was smiling after he whispered those three magic words to her.

 

“I love you too. Good night!”, she thought, and slowly drifted to her dreamland.
