“Are you okay?”, Sooyoung asked as he fixed Jessica’s fringe. She let out a soft sigh.

“Yes, but I feel a bit nervous”, she replied while holding on Sooyoung’s free hand. Sooyoung smiled upon hearing her words.

“Just relax, okay? If they shoot you personal questions, just answer them honestly, just arasso?”, Sooyoung said as he tried to calm down his fiancee.

“Arasso”, Jessica replied as she nodded her head slowly and smiled weakly. They were at the waiting room in a hotel, getting ready for the press conference of their new drama launching event that will be started in a few minutes. Suddenly they heard the knocking sound on the door. The door knob slowly being twisted, and the door was slightly opened.

“Jessica, are you ready?”, her manager asked as he popped his head inside. Jessica inhaled a deep breath, and slowly exhaled it while puffing her cheek, making her looked so cute that Sooyoung felt like wanna kiss her right now.

“Yeah, I’m ready, oppa”, she said reluctantly.

“Alright, let’s go. They’re already waiting for you”, her manager replied as he opened the door widely. Sooyoung then leaned closer and pecked on her cheek.

“Go now. Just remember on what I said, okay?”, Sooyoung said as he reminded her. Jessica nodded her head meekly.

“Okay. Bye, baby. I’ll see you after the event later”, Jessica said as she bid goodbye to Sooyoung, and walked to the door. Sooyoung just waved his hand in return.

After the MC made his announcement, the drama director and the main casts slowly walked to the stage where the seat have been set up for them. They then took their respective seat, and the event staff handed the microphone to each of them. Jessica felt like having a stomach ache due to the nervousness. Dongwook who noticed on her uneasiness, immediately put his hand on top of her hand that was on her lap, and squeezed it gently. He tried to soothe the latter by giving her his assuring smile, and mouthed to her that everything will be okay. Despite of their breaking up, he still care for her as a friend. Jessica just return a small smile to him.

After taking photos, now it’s about the time for the reporters to interview them. After they spent about fifteen minutes asking them with the questions related to the drama, they then started to ask personal questions to the main actor and actress. Jessica’s palms started to sweat, anticipating for the questions that they’re going to shoot. She kept on reminded herself on what Sooyoung has told her before, just be honest. Yes, she will going to answer all questions honestly.

“Dongwook ssi, I heard that you and Jessica ssi broke up because of the third party involved, is it true?”, one of the reporters asked. Dongwook just smiled before he answer the question.

“I believe I shouldn’t have to answer that because it’s too personal”, he replied politely.

“Jessica ssi, is it true that the third party has caused you and Dongwook ssi to break up?”, the reporter then moved the question to Jessica. She then took a deep breath, and tried to calm herself before she answered.

“No comment”, she replied calmly, causing an uproar among the reporters after they got the answer from her.

“Jessica ssi, we heard the rumours that you has already engaged to someone, and your fiance was one of the drama production team, is that true?”, another reporter asked, causing her to gasp.

“Now, where the hell did they get the info, huh?”, she thought. “I can’t be panicked. I need to be honest, and stay calm”, she thought.

“I didn’t know where you guys get the source from, but let me clear it up here. Yes, the rumours were true, and I would like to announce here that I was already engaged to someone. But, I won’t reveal who my fiance is because I need to respect him and his family’s feeling. So, I hope you guys will understand and respect that, that’s all I ask from you”, Jessica said firmly, yet politely. Dongwook just smiled upon hearing her answer. And, again her answer causing an uproar among the reporters.

“Well, congratulations, Jessica ssi”, the reporters congratulate her.

“Thank you”, she replied with a smile.

“So, Jessica ssi, can we know when are you going to get married?”, the journalist asked.

“That I believe I can’t say it here yet. You guys will be informed once we confirmed about it, okay?”, Jessica replied with a smile. The event manager then signaling the MC to end up the session as he did not want reporters to cram Jessica with more personal questions.

“Alright, I'm sorry to announce that have to wrap up the interview session here. Thank you so much for coming to the press conference and the launching event. Please look forward for the first episode of our drama that will be aired on next week. On behalf of the drama production team and the event organizer, we would like to thank you once again for your cooperation along the event. We have provided the refreshment at the banquet hall, so, please help yourself there. Thank you”, the MC said.

After hearing the MC’s announcement, all reporters and photographers gradually leaving the event’s place, heading to the banquet hall.

“Congratulations, Jessica!”, the drama director and other casts took turns congratulating her.

“Thank you”, she replied smilingly. All of them then heading to the banquet hall.

“Come, let’s go joining them at the banquet hall”, her manager said.

“You can go first, oppa. I promised to meet Sooyoung here”, Jessica replied.

“Arasso”, he said. “Are you going to go home with him later?”, he asked.

“Dae, oppa”, Jessica replied. Her manager nodded his head, and slowly leaving her, heading to the banquet hall.

Jessica then walked to the exit door, and he saw Sooyoung was standing not far from the door.  He was talking to someone over the phone. He kept on smiling, laughing and sometimes whispering, like was talking to his lovers or something.

“I wonder with whom he was talking to”, she mumbled curiously, couldn’t help but to feel a slight suspicious on him.

“Alright, I will see you soon. Take care, okay? Yeah, I love you too”, he said smilingly as the call ended. He didn’t realize that Jessica was standing near to him.

“Oh, hey babe! How was the press conference went so far?”, he asked while putting his phone back into his pants pocket.

“Hmm.. it went well”, she replied in short. “Who’s calling you just now?”, she asked, while crossing her arms.

“Oh… hmm.. someone who lived far far away from me, whom I missed so much”, Sooyoung said teasingly as he could sense her jealous mode.

“Oh, yeah? Your ex-girlfriend, isn’t it?”, she just shoot blindly. Sooyoung pretended to widen his eyes in surprise.

“How.. how did you know?”, he said as he shifted his gaze on the floor, trying so hard to stifle his laugh. He glanced at Jessica, and he could see smoke coming out from her ears, and her cheek were flushed in anger.

“You, Choi Sooyoung! Urghh..!”, she groaned, and stomping her feet while walking towards the main exit of the hotel.

“Uh oh! She’s mad!”, he mumbled while running towards his angry fiancee.

“Sica, wait!”, he said as he managed to grab her arm. Jessica stopped walking, and turned to face Sooyoung, giving her famous icy glare at him.

“Babe, I’m sorry. I was just teasing you”, he said apologetically. Jessica wiggled her arm, wanting him to release his grip from her arm.

“Do you know how hard it is for me today, huh? Choi Sooyoung? I tried to face all the reporters, explaining to them about us. And, now you are telling me that you just playing around? Do you think I’m happy with what you’re doing?”, she burst out her anger. Sooyoung gasped, he didn’t know that Jessica would be angry this much with his teasing. He slowly released his grip from her arm.

“I’m sorry. I didn’t know that you’re having difficulties over there. I promise I was just joking. It’s my noona. She’s the one who called me just now”, he said while gazing on the floor. Jessica sighed, and walked closer to Sooyoung. She took his hand and held it.

“I’m.. I’m sorry too, baby. But, you should have told me earlier that your sister called you just now. You should know by now that I’m a quite jealous person”, she said softly. Sooyoung smiled, and entwined his hand with hers.

“I know. That means, you love me so much, don’t you?”, he replied, making the later blushing madly. She smacked on his chest while smiling shyly. Sooyoung chuckled while looking at the shy girl in front of him. He then leaned closer, and kissed on her forehead, his love gesture which Jessica loved the most. She couldn’t help but to feel flutter inside. Glad that not many people were there at the moment.

“Tomorrow is your birthday, right? So, what are you going to do on tomorrow since we are free from any schedule?”, he asked. Both of them were heading to the parking lot. Sooyoung unlock his car, and opened the door for his lover.  He waited Jessica to get inside before he closed the door, and quickly slid himself at the driver’s side. Jessica tapped her chin while pouting.

“Haishh.. please don’t pout like that. You’re just too cute that I feel like I’m going to kiss you right now”, he said, making the latter blushed.

“Like you never did that before”, she said while smirking. Sooyoung laughed as he turned the car’s engine.

“Since we are still at the public area, I will reserved my kiss until we arrived home”, he replied while giggling.

“Such a tease!”, Jessica giggled as she playfully smacked his arm. Sooyoung laughed, and started to drive the car, heading to Jessica’s apartment.

“Saengil chukha hamnida, saengil chukha hamnida. Saranghaneun my Jessica, saengil chukha  hamnida”, Sooyoung sang birthday song to his beloved fiancee while carrying a small birthday cake with a lit candle on top of it. Jessica was surprised as she was about to hit the bed when suddenly Sooyoung entered the room with a birthday cake in his hand. She felt overwhelmed since this is the first time Sooyoung celebrates her birthday as her fiance. They used to celebrate together when they were just friends. But, it felt different compared to nowadays.

“Alright, babe. Make a wish and blow the candle”, Sooyoung said as he sat next to the birthday girl on the bed. Jessica just complied. She closed her eyes, and clasped her hands together to make a wish before she blew the candle.

“Thanks, baby. When did you buy this cake?”, she asked as she took the cake from Sooyoung’s hand, and put it on the side table. She leaned closer to Sooyoung, and hugged him by his waist.  Sooyoung returned the hug, and pecked on her lips.

“Right after you went to the press conference event. I sprinted to the cake shop, and then brought it home, and kept it inside the refrigerator”, he replied while smiling proudly.

“That’s very sweet of you. Thank you so much, baby. I love you”, she said as she kissed his lips.

“You’re most welcome, my princess. I love you too”, he replied. “Do you want to eat the cake now, or later?”, he asked.

“It’s already late, baby. I don’t want to get fat by eating cake at this late of night. We can eat it on tomorrow”, she replied. Sooyoung chuckled on her words.

“Arasso. Let’s s sleep. I have planned to celebrate your birthday for the whole day on tomorrow, since my princess here can’t think of any”, he said as he giggled.

“Yah! I wasn’t born in this world just to burden my brain with thinking”, she snapped at him. Sooyoung laughed on her words.

“Ara, ara! Let me keep this cake inside the fridge first, and then we can sleep, okay?”, he said as he released the hug, and stood up to take the cake from the side table.

“Okay”, she replied as she tucked herself on the bed, and pulled the blanket to cover her.

After he done putting back the cake inside the fridge, he went back to the room, and found Jessica was already asleep. He slowly walked to switch off the light, and slowly climb up on the bed. He slid himself inside the blanket, and landed his head on the pillow. He put his hand on Jessica’s waist, and was about to close his eyes when Jessica suddenly stirred, and snuggled closer to his chest. Sooyoung carefully slid his arm under her head, and slowly pulled her closer into his embrace.

“Goodnight, my princess, and happy birthday once again. I love you so much, and will always be by your side no matter what”, he whispered before he kissed on her forehead, and dozed off. Without he realized, Jessica was still awake, and smiling to herself before she followed him into the dreamland.
