:: Blood is thicker than water - Part 2 ::

 

The next morning, at YulTaeSoo apartment

 

“Yul?”, Yoona called him when she found Yuri wasn’t on her side as she just woke up. Then, she heard a sound from the bathroom.

 

“Hey babe, you’re awake”, Yuri said soon after he went out of the bathroom.

 

“Why are you up early? Aren't you still on leave today?”, Yoona asked as she slowly sat on the bed.

 

“Yup, but I need to see Jaejoong hyung today. I have something important to discuss with him about my work. I promise I won’t be long, okay?”, Yuri said as he walked to the closet, and took a pants and shirt to wear.

 

“You will leave me alone here?”, Yoona asked as she curled up her forehead.

 

“It’s not like that, babe. I don’t want to bother you because you’re still tired. Or, you want to come along?”, Yuri replied.

 

“Of course, though! I will follow you wherever you will go. I don’t want to stay alone here!”, she whined. Yuri just let out a soft giggle.

 

“Ara, ara. Go take a shower first. I will prepare breakfast for us”, Yuri said as he walked to the bed and ruffled Yoona’s hair before he headed out of the room.

 

Later on that morning, at the fitness centre

 

“Annyeong, boss!”, Yuri greeted Jaejoong soon after he entered the office.

 

“Annyeong, Yul. So, what is it so important that you want to discuss?”, Jaejoong asked while walking towards the couch, followed by Yuri. Yuri actually called Jaejoong last night, and informed him that he wanted to meet him this morning. Earlier, Yuri asked Yoona to wait for him at the waiting area near the reception counter.

 

“I just want to ask your opinion. Ermm.. h-how can I become a shareholder of this fitness centre?”, Yuri asked him nervously.

 

“Mwoh? You want to become a shareholder? Wait.. wait.. what are you talking about?”, Jaejoong replied as he was in surprised.

 

“Yes, boss. I want to become the shareholder of this fitness centre. Can I do that?”, Yuri asked for certainty.

 

“But, why? Why is it so out of sudden? Is there any reason of it?”, Jaejoong asked him back curiously. He knew that Yuri came from a wealthy family, but he didn’t expect that Yuri was interested to own this fitness centre, whilst he could anytime asked his parents to get anything for him. Yuri kept silent for awhile as he was in a deep thought.

 

“Ermm.. the.. the reason is, boss. I.. I want to get married soon, and Yoona asked me whether I could bring her to meet my family. I was actually not in a good term with them since my family, especially my brother against my decision to work as a fitness instructor. He wanted me to work at my father’s company. So, he challenged me to prove that I could become successful working in this field. I thought I could face him after I told him that I succesfully owns a fitness centre. That’s why I’m asking you about to become a shareholder”, Yuri explained. Jaejoong rubbed his chin, and sighed.

 

“Yul, I know you’re a very determined person when it comes to your future life and career. But, have you ever thought that it would call as cheating if you told him that you had become successful in your career by becoming a shareholder, while you can do that with your own effort? What I meant was, I’m not against your idea, but, I want you to be honest to yourself, and to your brother. I want you to prove to him that there’s nothing wrong in choosing your own career, although it is not according to your family’s will. Be yourself, Yul. Whether he and your family will accept you or not, it’s up to them. At least, you’ve proved to them that you could live independently without troubling their lives”, Jaejoong replied. Yuri just nodded meekly as he agreed on what Jaejoong has said to him. He then let out a sigh.

 

“You’re right, hyung. I’m so stupid, am I?”, Yuri said as he let out a sarcastic laugh.

 

“Yeah, you’re”, Jaejoong replied teasingly.

 

“Yah! I’m not!”, Yuri cried.

 

“You said it just now”, Jaejoong said as he rolled his eyes annoyingly.

 

“Ara, ara.. I’m stupid. I’m jerk, satisfied?”, Yuri said sarcastically which earning a laughter from Jaejoong.

 

“Just think deeply of what I’ve said. I’m sure Yoona didn’t mind about it, and she too wanted you to clear things up with your family, especially with your brother”, Jaejoong said.

 

“I will, boss. But, seriously, if I want to become a shareholder, is it still can be considered?”, Yuri asked. Jaejoong squinted his eyes while looking at Yuri with a serious look.

 

“How much do you have?”, he asked. Yuri quickly dug his pants pocket, and took out his bank account book. He flipped through the last pages of the bank statement, and shoved in front of Jaejoong. Jaejoong took the account book, and stared at the amount stated. His eyes widened.

 

“Wow, seriously?”, he said in surprise. Yuri just smiled.

 

“That were the money that my mother deposited into my account every month ever since I left my house”, Yuri said.

 

“Wow, your mother really loves you, huh?”, Jaejoong . “You know what, with this amount of money, you could not only become the shareholder, in fact you could own this fitness centre”, he continued while returning back the account book to Yuri.

 

“Can I?”, his eyes enlightened with hope. Jaejoong just laughed on Yuri’s spontaneous reaction.

 

“You’re funny, Yul. Neh, I don’t think so. I don’t want you to become my boss. I’m so used to be your boss.. hahaha..”, he said while still laughing.

 

“Not funny, hyung!”, Yuri said in serious tone.

 

“Hahaha.. sorry!”, Jaejoong replied. “The thing is, Yul, like what I’ve told you just now, just be as you are, okay? But still, I will consider about offering you as my partner for this fitness centre since you’re the senior staff here”, he continued.

 

“Thanks, hyung! I’m gladly to accept that”, Yuri said excitedly with a wide smile carved on his lips. He stood up from the couch, and shook hands with Jaejoong before he walked out of the office.

 

“You looked happy”, Yoona said soon after Yuri approached her.

 

“Yeah, I’m beyond happy today. So, I will call my mom to schedule our meeting with my family on tomorrow, how about that?”, Yuri said.

 

“Jinja? I’m glad to know that”, Yoona said happily.

 

“So, where do you want to go today, princess?”, Yuri said as he grabbed her hand, and entwined it with his hand.

 

“Ermm.. since it’s still early, can we go to the mall for shopping? We can have our lunch there after that”, Yoona suggested.

 

“Anything for you, my love!”, Yuri said as he brought Yoona’s hand near his mouth and kissed it. Yoona smiled as she felt flattered with Yuri's loving gesture. Both of them then walked out of the fitness centre, heading to Yuri’s car.

 

At Jessica’s apartment

 

Sooyoung was preparing breakfast for himself and his fiance since both of them need to go to Star Agency for the script reading session. Jessica was still in the bedroom, taking shower and to get ready. He just prepared simple breakfast, scrambled eggs with toast and jam, coffee and orange juice.

 

“Morning!”, Jessica greeted him soon after she entered the kitchen. She back hugged Sooyoung who was busy preparing the breakfast on the table.

 

“Morning, sweetheart!”, Sooyoung replied while patting her hands that was wrapping on his waist. “Let’s eat”, he said while twirling around and hugged her.

 

“Morning kish pleash”, Jessica said childishly while pouting her lips. Sooyoung just giggled while giving a peck on her lips.

 

“That’s not even a kiss!”, she exclaimed while whining. Sooyoung furrowed his brows.

 

“If it’s not a kiss, how is exactly the kiss then?”, Sooyoung asked.

 

“The kiss is.. like this..”, Jessica replied as he pulled Sooyoung’s head and kissed him passionately. They broke the kiss when both of them needed an air to breathe.

 

“Ohhh.. wow!”, Sooyoung said as he was still in dazed. Jessica just giggled while looking at him. “If it’s like that, I don’t mind receiving my morning kiss from you every day”, he said as he smiled teasingly.

 

“ert!”, Jessica replied as she slapped on his arm. Sooyoung just laughed while pulling the chair and grabbing Jessica’s hand to sit on it.

 

“I’m not!”, he quickly objected. “You’re the one”, he giggled while sitting on his chair.

 

“Whatever!”, Jessica said as she rolled her eyes. She then took one of the toast, and spread the jam on it. She put it on Sooyoung’s plate before she took another one and immediately ate it.

 

“So, are you ready to start your drama shooting on next week?”, Sooyoung asked while sipping his coffee. Jessica stopped eating, slowly letting out a sigh.

 

“Whether I’m ready or not, it still need to go on, right?”, Jessica replied. “Besides, I can’t withdraw myself from this project since your uncle and the investors have chosen me and him”, she said as she continued eating her food slowly. Sooyoung just smiled while wrapping his arm around Jessica’s waist, and and kissing her temple.

 

“Don’t worry, okay? I’m always with you all the time since I’m the assistant director. Besides, I’m sure Dongwook ssi is a professional actor, and he is not going to mix up between personal matter and work", Sooyoung said as he gave her an assurance smile.

 

“Are you sure?”, Jessica asked as she squinted her eyes, looking at Sooyoung.

 

“Yes, sweetheart, I’m sure. Trust me, okay?”, Sooyoung said while patting her arm.

 

“Okay, I trust you. It’s just him that I don’t trust”, Jessica replied as she smiled faintly.

 

“Babe, I know he’s your ex-boyfriend. Just let bygones be bygones, okay? I’m sure he’s already moved on. Don’t bother about that anymore, okay?”, he said, trying to soothe the latter. Jessica just smiled as she nodded her head in return.

 

“Alright, let’s finish our breakfast”, Sooyoung said as he scooped some scrambled eggs and feeding Jessica.

 

Meanwhile, at the Kim’s resident

 

“Good morning mom, dad!”, Taeyeon greeted his parents while heading through the kitchen counter. He took a plate of white bread, a bowl of mushroom soup and cutleries, a glass of milk, and put them in a tray. He then took some food and orange juice for himself, and put them again in the same tray. His parents just watching on what he was doing with a confused look.

 

“Taetae, where are you going to bring all that?”, Mrs. Kim asked while pointing at the tray that was still on the kitchen counter.

 

“Oh, I’m bringing these for Tiffany. She started to vomit this morning, and she looks pale. I don’t think she’s able to join us for breakfast here”, Taeyeon replied.

 

“Ahh..”, Mrs. Kim nodded her head. “Just go and accompany her. You don’t have to join us here”, she continued to speak.

 

“Okay”, Taeyeon complied. He was about to took the tray when suddenly Mr. Kim called him.

 

“Son, I think you don’t have to go to work today. Just stay at home, and take care of Tiffany. Me and your mother will be going out to town for a while to look some new furniture for our office”, Mr. Kim said.

 

“B-but, we’re lacking of drivers at the moment, dad”, Taeyeon replied as he still stood near the kitchen counter.

 

“It’s okay, son. I will ask Uncle Song to replace you. He called me just now that he’s getting better from fever. He can start working on today”, Mr. Kim said.

 

“Just listen to your dad, and take care of Tiffany, arasso? I will drop by at the Chinese medicine shop to buy some herbs for Tiffany later”, Mrs. said to her son.

 

“Arasso”, Taeyeon replied. “Excuse me mom, dad. I need to go upstairs first”, Taeyeon said as he made his way out of the kitchen.

 

Taeyeon slowly pulled the door knob, and carefully brought the tray inside his room.  He smiled when he found Tiffany was still lying on the bed, massaging her temple while hugging her pink Totoro plush toy. Taeyeon gave her as a birthday present when the first time they were met as friends, when Tiffany was still Siwon’s girlfriend. She once told Taeyeon that she assumed the plush toy as himself whenever she missed him when he was not by her side.

 

“Babe? Still feel dizzy?”, Taeyeon asked which makes Tiffany startled with his sudden appearance. She let out a faint smile while nodding her head weakly. Taeyeon put the tray on the side table, and sat next to his fiancee.

 

“Here, let me help you”, he said as he leaned closer and put his hands on her both temples, and massaging it slowly. Tiffany closed her eyes as she was trying to calm herself with the treatment she received from Taeyeon. Taeyeon stopped massaging for a while, and kissed her forehead.

 

“Wanna eat your breakfast now?”, he asked as he continued massaging. Tiffany shook her head slowly.

 

“I don’t feel like want to eat”, she replied weakly. “I just want to sleep”, she continued.

 

“You need to eat something, babe. Your stomach is empty after you vomitting just now. Besides, our baby need to eat too, sweetheart”, Taeyeon said as he tried to persuade her. Not wanting to disappoint her fiance, Tiffany slowly tried to get up, and Taeyeon immediately helped her. He put the pillow on the headboard, and let Tiffany leaned on it. She glanced at the alarm clock on the side table.

 

“Taetae, aren’t you suppose to go to work at this time?”, she said while looking at Taeyeon. He just smiled while getting up from the bed, and took the tray from the side table. He sat back on the bed.

 

“Dad said I could take a break for today. Mom and dad wanted me to take care of you. They will be going out to town for a while. They didn’t want you to stay alone at home as they felt worried”, he explained as he scooped some mushroom soup, and carried the spoon to Tiffany’s mouth. Tiffany opened , and ate the soup. She crumpled her face as she slowly swallowed the soup.

 

“Waeyo?”, Taeyeon asked while looking at her worriedly. Tiffany just shook her head.

 

“Is the taste bad?”, Taeyeon asked again while the spoon, trying to taste the soup. “Hmm.. the taste is okay”, he mumbled.

 

“Maybe my tummy can’t accept this kind of food at the moment”, she replied. Taeyeon immediately put the bowl into the tray, and took a glass of milk. He brought the glass slowly near to Tiffany’s mouth.

 

“Here, drink this milk, okay? At least it can give you some energy”, Taeyeon said. Tiffany just complied, and drank the milk. She just drank half of it.

 

“You don’t want to finish this milk?”, he asked while still holding the glass. Tiffany just shook her head. “Want to eat anything else?”, he asked again while putting the glass back into the tray. Again, Tiffany just shook her head.

 

“I just want to lie down”, she replied.

 

“Arasso. Just lie down and rest, okay?”, Taeyeon said as he took the pillow from the headboard, and helped Tiffany to lie down. He then got up from the bed, and was about to take the tray out of the room when suddenly Tiffany called him.

 

“Taetae, just put it there, and lie down here beside me. There’s something I want to tell you”, she said while patting the bed, signaling Taeyeon to lie down on the bed beside her. Taeyeon just complied as he put the tray back, and slowly climbed into the bed. He lie down beside Tiffany, and put his both hands back on her temples, slowly massaging it.

 

“Thanks”, Tiffany said as she grabbed Taeyeon’s hand, wanting him to stop massaging.

 

“You’re welcome”, Taeyeon replied. He then slowly pulled Tiffany closer to him to cuddle.

 

“Taetae, my dad called me yesterday. He said that he will come to visit us in next two weeks”, Tiffany said.

 

“Mwoh? Jinja?”, Taeyeon said in surprise. He didn’t expect that Tiffany’s father will come to Seoul to visit them soon.

 

“Yup. And, he said he wanted to discuss about our marriage with your parents”, she continued. Taeyeon nodded his head meekly.

 

“If so, I need to tell mom and dad, so they can prepare the guest room for your dad. He can stay here during his visit. He don’t have to stay at hotel”, Taeyeon suggested.

 

“Jinja? I will inform my dad later”, Tiffany replied excitedly. She snuggling against his chest, and tighten the hug. Taeyeon look down on her, and smiled.

 

“Sleepy?”, he asked. Tiffany just nodded her head.

 

“Alright, let’s continue to sleep, okay?”, Taeyeon said softly while caressing her back gently.

 

“I love you, Taetae!”, Tiffany said before she dozed off.

 

“I love you more, babe!”, Taeyeon replied and kissed on the crown of her head. He kept on smiling while thinking that his ‘soon-to-be father in-law’ will be going to visit them to discuss about their marriage.

 

“I can’t believe I’m getting married soon”, he thought smilingly before he slowly fell asleep.

 

At Seohyun’s apartment

 

The morning sunlight shone through the window and hit Seohyun's face, causing her to slowly opened her eyes. She rubbed her sleepy eyes, and turned to her side. She was surprised to see that Hyoyeon wasn’t by her side. She frantically got up from the bed, and walked to the bathroom to check whether her fiance was there or not.

 

“Where is he?”, she mumbled to herself. “Did he just leave me because of..”, she was debating to herself when she heard someone's knocking the door.

 

“KNOCK! KNOCK!”

 

The door was slowly opened, revealing the person that Seohyun was looking the most.

 

“Good morning!”, Hyoyeon greeted her with a smile, and slowly walking inside. Seohyun suddenly rushed to him, and hugged him tight, causing him to move backward, and almost fell on the floor.

 

“Where have you been? I thought you’re leaving me!”, she said as she sounded like wanted to cry.

 

“Huh? I’m not! I just went back to my apartment to change my clothes, and went to the cafe nearby to buy breakfast for us. Besides, why would I want to leave you? I love you, and you know that, right?”, Hyoyeon replied as he felt confused with Seohyun’s words earlier.

 

“I.. I’m sorry..”, Seohyun said, still hugging him.

 

“Now, tell me. Where did you get the idea that I want to leave you, huh?”, Hyoyeon asked.

 

"I.. I thought it is because of.. because of..", Seohyun paused, still contemplating whether she should tell him or not. Her face flushed.

 

"Hyunnie ah, tell me, what is it?", Hyoyeon asked as he furrowed his brows. Seohyun then leaned closer to his ear, and whispered something. Hyoyeon burst out laughing.

 

“Yah!”, Seohyun cried as she felt embarrassed while hitting his chest. “This is why I don’t want to tell you.. you’re going to make fun of me.. urghh!”, she grunted, and forcefully wiggled her body, wanted to release herself from Hyoyeon’s embrace. Hyoyeon pulled her back into his embrace, and tighten the hug.

 

“I’m sorry, Hyunnie ah. I didn’t mean to laugh at you”, he said softly before he continued. “I’ve told you last night, right? I love you for just who you are, not because of ‘that’. So, don’t worry okay? I’m not going to leave you. Never!”, he assured her.

 

“Promise?”, she asked.

 

“Yes, sweetheart. I promise. Now, go freshen yourself. I will prepare the breakfast for us, okay?”, Hyoyeon said with a smile.

 

“I love you!”, Seohyun said, while staring into Hyoyeon’s eyes lovingly.

 

“I love you to infinity and beyond!”, Hyoyeon replied as he pecked on her lips. Seohyun giggled on his words. “Alright, princess. Go and shower now!”, he said as he released the hug, and patted her cheek gently.

“Okay!”, she grinned while running to the bathroom.
