Later that night, with Taeyeon inside the taxi

 

“TAP! TAP! TAP!”

 

Taeyeon tapped his fingers on the steering wheel while waiting for his dream girl to get out from her office building. He parked his taxi in front of the building while listening to SHINee’s song, ‘Dream Girl’ from the radio.

“KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!”

 

“Huh?”, he was startled with the knocking sound, and suddenly stopped his singing. He then turned his head to the window. He saw his dream girl was standing next to his door side while giving her sweetest eye smile, the smile that melts his heart. The smile that makes him falling in love with her on the first time they met. Taeyeon immediately opened the door, and exited from the taxi. Taeyeon smiled back at her, and led her to walk towards the passenger’s seat.

 

“Sorry, I’m late”, Tiffany said as he followed Taeyeon from behind. He immediately opened the door for her.

 

“Nah, it’s okay. Let’s get inside. It’s cold”, Taeyeon replied. Tiffany immediately entered inside, and Taeyeon closed the door for her. He then rushed to the driver’s side, and quickly slid himself inside the taxi. “Don’t forget to fasten your seat belt”, he reminded Tiffany before he started to drive his taxi.

 

“Goshh! I’m so tired!”, Tiffany grunted while putting her arm on her forehead. She worked as a fashion designer with the most renowned international manufacturer of designer clothes. She worked till late of night today to meet the deadline of her design, which is on tomorrow morning.

 

“I feel sorry for you, Tiff. Is there anything that I can help?”, Taeyeon asked.

 

“Hmm.. how about you treat me for late night supper?”, Tiffany replied with a grin.

 

“Haishh.. you always know how to make me go bankrupt, do you?”, Taeyeon rolled his eyes.

 

“Yah! You said that you wanna help me. Can you just agree on my request? I’m hungry hereee!”, Tiffany whined loudly with aegyo.

 

“Geez! No need to do that!”, Taeyeon said annoyingly.

 

“Wae? Wae? You don’t like it, Taetaeee?”, Tiffany did her aegyo again as she leaned closer to Taeyeon.

 

“Y-yah! Stop it! Your aegyo is too ugly, you know that!”, Taeyeon exclaimed. Of course he didn’t mean it. He’s actually felt nervous when Tiffany was so close to him.

 

Sorry, I didn’t mean it! Your aegyo is the cutest ever! Lord! Please help me to go through it tonight!

 

“You’re meanie, you know!”, Tiffany pouted. “My boyfriend used to say that my aegyo is the cutest ever. Taeyeon then laughed on her remarks. “Yah! Why are you laughing, huh?”, she snapped at him.

 

“It’s funny, though!”, he giggled. Tiffany hit his arm.

 

“Oww.. stop hitting me! Can’t you see I’m driving here?”, Taeyeon snapped.

 

“If you don’t wanna be hit again by me, just shut up, and drive!”, she said sternly.

 

“Yes, ma’am. I’ll shut my mouth up and keep driving”, Taeyeon said politely which earns a giggle from the latter.

 

“Tiff, I need to make a stop at the petrol station for a while. Do you want to stay inside the taxi?”, Taeyeon asked.

 

“Nope, I need to go to the toilet”, Tiffany replied.

 

“Arasso”, Taeyeon then drove to the nearest petrol station to fill the petrol.

 

“Alright, I’ll wait for you at the parking space after I’ve done filling up the petrol, okay?”, Taeyeon said to Tiffany before both of them went out of the taxi.

 

“Okay”, Tiffany replied, and immediately headed to the toilet.

 

After done filling up the petrol, Taeyeon then drove his taxi to the parking space near the toilet. While waiting for Tiffany to get her business done, Taeyeon leaned his back on his seat, resting himself while reminiscing the moment of his first meeting with Tiffany.

 

 

:: Flashback ~ 6 months ago ::

 

Taeyeon received a call from his company’s service center to pick up a passenger from the residence area to the airport. He was waiting for his passenger in front of the apartment building.

 

“KNOCK! KNOCK!”

 

Taeyeon was startled by the knocking sound. He immediately lowered the window. “Yes?”, he said while looking at the person.

 

“I’ve called a taxi to send me to the airport just now. Are you from the Kim’s Transport and Services?”, the person asked.

 

“Ah, yes. So, you’re the one who called us just now?”, Taeyeon replied.

 

“Yes. I need to go to the airport to pick up my girlfriend. My car has broke down, and still in the workshop. I called to book your taxi for sending and fetching me to the airport”, the person said.

 

“Sure. Let’s get in”, Taeyeon said. The person quickly opened the passenger’s door and sat next to Taeyeon.

 

“By the way, my name is Choi Siwon. Nice to meet you”, the person introduced himself to Taeyeon.

 

“Oh, I’m Kim Taeyeon. Nice to meet you too”, he said. “Shall we go now?”, he asked.

 

“Yeah, sure, thanks”, Siwon replied. Taeyeon then started to drive his taxi to the destination.

 

 

40 minutes later at the airport

 

“Taeyeon ssi, can you please wait for us here?”, Siwon asked soon after they arrived at the airport.

 

“Sure, just go ahead. I’ll wait for you guys here”, Taeyeon replied with a smile.

 

“Thanks”, Siwon said and immediately went out of the taxi. He then took out his iPad, and started playing car racing games while waiting for his passenger to come.

 

 

Meanwhile, at the waiting area inside the airport

 

“Hmm.. where’s she?”, Siwon tapped his feet while glancing at his wristwatch. It has already past 30 minutes since the flight from LA should arrived according to the time. He immediately got up from the seat, and was about to walk to the reception counter when he suddenly felt a pair of hands hugging his waist. Siwon startled, and immediately turned to look at the person.

 

“Oppa! Sorry for keep you waiting”, the person said. Siwon smiled widely after knowing the person that he’d been waiting for has already arrived.

 

“Gwenchana. How’s your flight?”, Siwon said while giving a peck on his girlfriend’s lips. His girlfriend then wrapped her arms around his neck, and kissed him deeply.

 

“The flight was okay, though it’s a bit tiring. I miss you so much, oppa”, she said while giving another passionate kiss to him.

 

“I miss you too, sweetie. Come, let’s go to the foyer. The taxi driver has already waiting for us”, Siwon said after they broke the kiss.

 

“Taxi? You came here by taxi? What happened to your car?”, she asked.

 

“Yup. My car has broke down yesterday. I sent it to the workshop for repair. It will probably getting done by tomorrow”, Siwon said as he dragged his girlfriend’s pink luggage and intertwined their hands together, heading to the airport foyer.

 

 

Back with Taeyeon, inside the taxi

 

“Damn you! Left, left, leeefffttt!”, he shouted while his finger quickly pressing the left arrow. The racing car then hit the wall and broke. Poor Taeyeon! LOL!

 

“Haishhh.. stupid car! I should pick another car earlier”, he grunted while throwing his iPad at the passenger’s seat next to him.

 

“KNOCK! KNOCK!”

 

He immediately turned his head after he heard the knocking sound from the passenger’s seat window. He then quickly went out of the taxi, and dashed towards the passenger’s side.

 

“Sorry for keep you waiting, Taeyeon ssi”, Siwon said.

 

“Gwenchana, Siwon ssi. Let me help you with the luggage”, Taeyeon replied while pointing at the pink luggage that Siwon was holding.

 

“Thanks, Taeyeon ssi. Oh, please meet my girlfriend here, Tiffany Hwang”, Siwon said as he introduced his girlfriend to Taeyeon.

 

Oh! My! God! Is she an angel that just falling from the sky?

 

“Babe, this is Mr. Kim Taeyeon”, Siwon said to Tiffany.

 

“Nice to meet you, Taeyeon ssi”, Tiffany held out her hand to shake hands with Taeyeon while giving her famous eye smile to him. Taeyeon just stood still there, frozen.

 

“Taeyeon ssi? Are you okay?”, Siwon asked while looking at the latter.

 

“Huh? Y-yeah, I-I’m okay. Ermm.. n-nice to meet you too, Tiffany ssi”, Taeyeon said nervously as he immediately shook his hand with Tiffany’s. He quickly released his hand, and opened the passenger’s door for them. “P-please get inside”, he said.

 

“Thanks”, Tiffany said while she immediately entered inside, followed by Siwon.

 

“You’re welcome”, Taeyeon replied and immediately closed the door. He then rushed to the back of the taxi to open the back compartment, and immediately put the luggage inside before he rushed back to open door on the driver’s side.

 

Taeyeon keep on glancing at the couple at the back while driving along the way back from the airport to the couple’s apartment. They keep on chatting and smooching at the back, which makes Taeyeon felt a slight jealous on them.

 

Kim Taeyeon, why must you feel like this? You just met her! Are you already fell in love with her?

 

After 40 minutes of driving, they then finally arrived in front of the apartment building. Taeyeon then helped them to take out the luggage from the back compartment.

 

“Thank you so much, Taeyeon ssi. Here’s the payment for the fare”, Siwon said as he took out several bills from his wallet, and handed it to Taeyeon.

 

“You’re welcome, and thank you, Siwon ssi. I’m sorry, I have to go now. I need to pick up other passenger. Here’s my card if you need to use our transport service next time”, Taeyeon replied, and gave his name card to Siwon.

 

“Definitely, Taeyeon ssi. You’re the nicest guy I’ve ever met. Of course I’ll use your transport service again. Okay, I’ll see you later. Drive safely!”, Siwon said as he bid goodbye to Taeyeon. Tiffany just smiled at him. Taeyeon immediately drove his taxi, heading to the next destination.

 

 

A month later

 

“RING! RING! RING!”

 

“Yoboseyo?”, Taeyeon answered the call. He just had his dinner at his apartment.

 

“Taeyeon ssi! It’s me, Choi Siwon. Did you still remember me?”, Siwon said.

 

“Oh, Siwon ssi. Yes, I still remember you. What can I do for you, Siwon ssi?”, Taeyeon asked.

 

“I need your help, Taeyeon ssi. My company wanted to send me to Europe, and I need to work at the branch there for 6 months. You know, I used to send and fetch my girlfriend from her workplace everyday since she couldn’t drive a car. So, I had suggested her to use your company’s transport service. Can you do me a favor, Taeyoen ssi?”, Siwon said.

 

“Hmm.. yeah, sure, Siwon ssi. I’ll help you”, Taeyeon replied.

 

“Thank you so much, Taeyeon ssi. You’re really a good friend. I really depend on you. I’ll see you before I depart to Europe on next week, okay?”, Siwon happily said.

 

“Yeah, sure, Siwon ssi. Don’t worry. You can count on me. Alright, I’ll see you later”, Taeyeon replied as he ended the conversation.

 

“See you later, Taeyeon ssi. Good night!”, Siwon ended the call.

 

So, Taeyeon started to become Tiffany’s driver starting from the day Siwon departed to Europe. It’s only a few months left before he will be coming back to Seoul. Taeyeon knew that he will never have a chance to win her heart after Siwon return later. So, he decided to keep their relationship as a best friend. The most hardest things that he have to do in his life besides being an obedient son to his father when he need make a decision to help him by working in his father’s company.

 

 

:: End of the flashback ::

 

“KNOCK! KNOCK! KNOCK!”

 

Taeyeon was startled with the knocking sound. He immediately turned at the passenger’s door, and noticed that Tiffany was standing outside with her angry face, and her hands on her hips. He quickly sat up straight, and opened the door. He dashed out from the taxi to Tiffany’s side.

 

“Are you sleeping, Kim Taeyeon?”, Tiffany asked, still with her angry face.

 

“S-Sorry. I fell asleep”, he said nervously. He lied.

 

“Hmm.. it’s okay. I’m sorry, you maybe feel tired. I think we don’t have to go for late night supper”, Tiffany said.

 

“No, it’s okay. I want to treat you for late night supper. Come on, let’s go”, Taeyeon replied as he opened the door for Tiffany, and slightly pushed her to enter inside. He then rushed to the driver’s side, and immediately entered inside.

 

“Thanks, Taetae.. you don’t have to..”, Tiffany was about to continue her words when suddenly being cut by Taeyeon.

 

“It’s okay, Tiff. I know you’re hungry. I can hear your stomach growling from here”, he said as he giggled.

 

“Y-yah! I’m not!”, Tiffany cried as her face blushed. Taeyeon keep on giggling while starting to drive the taxi to find a place for their late night supper.

I will do anything for you, my friend. You can always count on me!
