My Sleeping Beauty Princess

 

“Babe, wake up. You have a schedule this morning”, Sooyoung said softly while patting gently on Jessica’s arm. The latter didn’t budge at all as she was in a deep sleep. Sooyoung shook his head smilingly. Ever since they lived together, he’s already getting used with this kind of situation. He knew what to do to make her awake. He then leaned closer to his fiancee, and staring at her cute sleeping face. He her hair gently, and kissed her forehead, and then followed by her both eyes, nose and finally, he pecked softly on her lips. A few seconds later, his sleeping beauty princess squirmed, and opened her eyes slowly.

 

“You like me doing this to you every morning, don't you?”, he said as he smirk. She just smiled weakly, and stuck her tongue out at him. Sooyoung chuckled, and sat up straight.

 

“Can I not to go anywhere today? I just want to sleep”, she whined. Sooyoung smiled as he knew she will gave the same reason for not to get up from the bed.

 

“Babe, you have already signed the contract, you can’t skip from working. Come on, be a good girl, and get up now. I promise I will bring you out for shopping after work if you’re being a good girl today”, Sooyoung persuades her like a father persuades his little girl to get up for school. Jessica immediately got up upon hearing the ‘shopping’ word. She sat up, and leaning her back on the headboard while rubbing her sleepy eyes.

 

“Pwomish?”, she said childishly. Sooyoung laughed as he found it cute.

 

“Aigoo.. I promise, baby. Go take your shower now, okay? I’m going to prepare breakfast for us”, Sooyoung said, ruffling her hair. She groaned while fixing her messy hair. Sooyoung just laughed while getting up from the bed, earning a glare from his princess.

“Wow! Tuna bibimbap for breakfast?”, she said as soon as she landed her on the stool, sitting beside Sooyoung. She sneaks her arm around Sooyoung’s waist while staring at her plate.

 

“Yup. You need to have more energy for shooting today. We can have a late lunch, and then go for shopping this afternoon”, Sooyoung replied.

 

“Gomawo, baby!”, Jessica said smilingly, and pecked on his cheek.

 

“Don’t mention it. You know I love you, and I will do anything for you. Including cooking for you, since I know you and cooking never clique”, he said as he giggled.

 

“Choi Sooyoung! Can you please stop teasing me for one day? I have had enough”, she said sternly as she rolled her eyes, and started to dig in her tuna bibimbap.

 

“Jung Sooyeon, saranghae!”, Sooyoung said, and kissed on top of her head as he knew Jessica felt annoyed with his teasing.

 

“Aishh!”, she slapped his thigh as she blushed. Sooyoung chuckled on her cuteness, and started to eat his breakfast.

 

“Baby, my mom and dad asked me to find some free time for both of us. They wanted to discuss about our marriage date, maybe through lunch or dinner at my house or somewhere”, Jessica said after she swallowed her food.

 

“Jinja? My dad and mom asked me about the same thing too. He called me few days ago. Wow, they really want us to get married quickly, eh?”, Sooyoung replied.

 

“Don’t you want that too?”, she asked with a sly smile. Sooyoung wiggled his brows, and laughed.

 

“Of course I want it, though. The sooner the better. But, since both of us are now busy with work, I think we need to discuss with both of our parents. We need to plan it well, so, our wedding day will become the most beautiful and memorable one”, he said smilingly.

 

“Aww.. that’s very sweet of you, baby”, she replied, leaning her head on his shoulder.

 

“Thank you, my love. Now, hurry up, and finish your breakfast first. We are going to be late to work later”, Sooyoung said, and patted his fiancee’s head before he continued eating his breakfast.

 

“Okay, boss!”, she replied with a grin, and continued eating.

Sooyoung was patiently waiting for his fiancee to change her outfit after she finished filming the drama scene for today. While waiting for his princess, he took out his phone, and checking on his SNS account. He couldn’t hold his laughter after checking on Jessica’s Weibo account update which he had followed. She changed her profile photo with a cartoon princess character, and with ‘I Love Sleep’ words written on it.

 

“This girl, seriously!”, he said while giggling. “I hope our future children will not inherit her sleeping habit”, he giggled again. “Oww!”, he screamed as felt a sudden stinging pain on his arm, and was surprised when he found the sleeping princess was standing beside him, crossing her arms while glaring at him. Sooyoung could see smoke coming out from her ears. Oh, yeah! HellSica mode is now activated. He immediately got up from the chair, and slowly approaching the latter.

 

“B-babe. H-how long have you been here?”, he asked nervously.

 

“Long enough to know what you are doing just now”, she said with a look of annoyance on her face.

 

“Babe, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean of what I said earlier”, he said as he smiled apologetically.

 

“Don’t smile to me at all, Choi Sooyoung. I’m still angry at you”, she said sternly. Sooyoung gulped. He just stood still, and lowered his head, like a small kid being scolded by his mother.

 

“I’m sorry”, he mumbled while pouting. Jessica wanted to laugh, but she just hold it, and keep her straight face as she wanted to teach him a lesson for teasing her about her sleeping habit.

 

“I won’t forgive you, Choi Sooyoung. I feel insulted”, she said with a straight voice. Sooyoung’s eyes widened in surprise, and was about to open his mouth to say something when Jessica stopped him from doing so.

 

“You want me to forgive you, right?”, she asked. Sooyoung was about to open his mouth, but Jessica quickly cut him off. “If you want me to forgive you, there are some conditions you need to follow”, she said with a smirk. Without Sooyoung realized, she has planned something to tease the latter. Consider it as a revenge on her fiance for always teasing her.

 

“C-conditions?”, he asked nervously. Jessica nodded her head before she continued.

 

“Yup. Firstly, every time we go shopping, you will pay”, she said with a sly smile.

 

“Like I never did that before”, he mumbled softly.

 

“I heard you, Choi Sooyoung!”, she snapped.

 

“O-okay. I will pay”, he replied, not dare to look into her eyes.

 

“Good. Secondly, every time we have breakfast, lunch or dinner together, you must feed me”, she said.

 

“B-but.. you have your own hands..”, he was about to continue when suddenly Jessica cut him off.

 

“Don’t object! I should put this as the first one. Keep quiet when I say something, arasso?”, she snapped.

 

“Arasso..”, he mumbled in defeat. Jessica smiled in triumph as her plan to tease Sooyoung was successful so far.

 

“Alright. For the third condition, since you said me and kitchen doesn't clique, so, you will in charge as a cook for us from now on”, she said while smiling slyly. Sooyoung pointed to himself, and sighed.

 

“Arasso”, he replied while pouting.

 

“Good. Now, the last one..”, she said. Sooyoung counting with his ​​fingers the conditions Jessica have already mentioned earlier.

 

“Four?”, he mumbled to himself while scratching his head. Jessica giggled silently.

 

“Lastly, I want you to massage me every time I came back from work. It’s not a simple massage, you need to prepare everything just like they did at spa or something like that”, she said.

 

“Mworago?”, his eyes widened in surprise. “More like I’m a butler to you”, he said.

 

“Say one more time, and I will add more conditions for you”, she said sternly. Sooyoung let out a sigh.

 

“Arasso. Things I do for love”, he mumbled slowly. Jessica heard of what he said, but she pretending not to hear anything as she just smiled.

 

“Good. Alright, let’s go now”, she said, pulling Sooyoung’s arm.

 

“W-where to?”, Sooyoung asked in confused.

 

“Forgot already? You promised me this morning you want to take me out for shopping after work, right?”, she replied. Sooyoung smacked his forehead as he suddenly remembered his promise after being reminded by his one and only lover.

 

“Mianhae. I forgot everything since I need to remember all your conditions”, he said, half teasing. Jessica glared at him, and pinched his arm, causing the latter yelping in pain. “You’re such a meanie. My arm is going to get bruised later”, he said, pouting. Jessica just chuckled.

 

“Serves you right. Kaja!”, she said as she pulled Sooyoung’s arm, dragging him to the car park.

“Sleeping again? You’ve got to be kidding me!”, he mumbled as he stopped his car at the parking lot. He stared at Jessica’s face who was sleeping peacefully with her head leaning at the car’s window. He gently pulled her head to lean on the headrest, and pecked on her forehead, causing the latter gasped, and her eyes fluttered open.

 

“We’re already here”, he said softly.

 

“Sorry I fell asleep”, she weakly said. Sooyoung just smiled.

 

“Tired?”, he asked. Jessica nodded her head slowly.

 

“Still wanna go shopping?”, he asked again.

 

“Of course I want. You had promised me. Besides, you’re going to pay later”, she replied, causing Sooyoung to laugh at her words.

 

“You still remember, do you?”, he said, giggling. Jessica stuck her tongue out at him. Sooyoung chuckled, and leaned closer to unbuckle her seat belt.

 

“Thanks, baby”, she said as she smiled.

 

“You’re welcome”, he replied. “Alright, done. Let’s go!”, he said as he took his belongings, of course his wallet especially, and quickly went out of the car. He rushed to the passenger’s side to open the door for Jessica. She slowly went out, and stood aside to let Sooyoung to close the car’s door.

 

“Kaja!”, he said while grabbing his fiancee’s hand, and entwined their hands together. Both of them headed to the elevator.

“Where do you want to eat?”, Sooyoung said as he put his arm around Jessica’s shoulder. She automatically wrapped her arm around his waist while observing the whole floor. The couple were standing not far from the ground floor elevator, where the main food court and restaurants were located inside the mall.

 

“Hmm.. I want to eat sushi. Can we go to the Japanese restaurant over there?”, she said while pointing at the Japanese restaurant, located at the right side of the food court.

 

“Sure, babe. Let’s!”, he said. Both of them then walking hand in hand to the restaurant. As they entered the restaurant, they were greeted by the hostess, and she immediately led the couple to the vacant table.

 

“Thank you!”, both Jessica and Sooyoung thanked the hostess in unison. Sooyoung pulled the chair for Jessica, and she immediately sat on it while mouthing 'thank you' to her beloved fiance. Sooyoung winked at her before he sat on his chair next to her, causing the latter giggled on his antics. Not long after, the waiter came to their table, and then laid a menu, ready to take the order.

 

“Can I take your order, Jessica ssi?”, the waiter asked. Yeah, who doesn't know her, right?. She’s the most famous actress in Korea and Asia nowadays.

 

“I would like to have today’s sushi set, mini salad, and green tea”, Jessica placed her order.

 

“How about you, Sir?”, the waiter asked. Sooyoung was still looking at the menu.

 

“Baby, have you made your choice?”, she asked. Sooyoung scratched his head as he didn’t know which one to choose. All foods in the menu looks delicious to a shikshin like him.

 

“Aishh.. I don’t know which one should I choose”, he said, causing Jessica to chuckle on his words.

 

“Aigoo.. this is a first time I heard you’re having difficulties in making a choice of what you want to eat”, she said with a teasing smile. Sooyoung just let out a small chuckle. “Do you want me to choose for you?”, she asked. Sooyoung just shook his head.

 

“Just bring me unagi and bento set, and diet Coke for drinks. Thanks!”, he said to the waiter.

 

“Sure, Sir”, the waiter replied, and immediately took the menu before he headed to the ordering counter.

 

“You usually eat a lot”, Jessica said as she laid her head on Sooyoung’s shoulder, and playing with his fingers that was on his lap.

 

“I need to control my eating habit from now on. I want my body to look fit until our wedding day”, he said with a grin. Jessica laughed as she found his words was funny.

 

“Yah, what so funny with that?”, Sooyoung asked. Jessica lifted her head from his shoulder, and started to scan Sooyoung’s body from head to toe. Sooyoung furrowed his brows while looking at her. Jessica then leaned closer, and whispered into his ear.

 

“If you gained weight after we got married, don’t worry about that. We can always have our ‘exercise’ together”, she replied with a sly smile, and winked at him. Sooyoung’s eyes widened in surprise, and his face suddenly turned red. Jessica giggled while looking at his reddened face. She found that he looked so cute when he blushed.

 

“Jung Sooyeon, that’s so bold of you”, he said as he pretended to gasp, causing the latter to chuckle.

 

“You liked it, don’t you?”, she smirked.

 

“Aishh.. of course”, Sooyoung acted shyly while shoving Jessica’s shoulder. Both of them then burst into laughter. Not long after, the waiter came with the lunch set that they had ordered earlier, and placed it on the table.

 

“Enjoy your food!”, the waiter said before he left the table.

 

“Thank you!”, both of them thanked him in unison. The couple started to eat their lunch while chatting and teasing with each other.

“So, where should we go first?”, he asked soon after they walked out of the restaurant.

 

“I want to buy shoes. Can we go to the shoes store first?”, she said, linking her arm through his.

 

“Sure. Anything for you, babe”, he said, and both of them started to walk to the elevator.

 

“Found anything you like here?”, he asked after following his fiancee wandering around the store for about fifteen minutes.

 

“There’s one. But, I don’t know whether I should buy it or not”, she said. Sooyoung raised his brows.

 

“Wae?”, he asked.

 

“It’s too expensive”, she replied as she smiled faintly. Sooyoung just smiled, knowing his loved one by heart. Although she has the money, and she could afford to buy ten pairs of the same shoes if she want, but she doesn’t like to waste her earning just for the unreasonable price. That’s what he loved about Jessica.

 

“Expensive things usually came with a good quality. If you want to have it, just buy it. It’s on me”, he said, rubbing her back gently.

 

“No, no, no. I don’t want you to waste your money on me. I know you liked to pamper me, but, the price is too much, don’t you think so?”, she replied. Sooyoung chuckled as he found her words was so cute. She sounded like a thrifty person.

 

“Babe, I know it’s expensive. But, I really don’t mind to buy it for you. I have promised you earlier it’s on me today, remember?”, he said with a smile. Jessica then shifted her gaze at the shoes display racks where the shoes that she really likes was there. Sooyoung followed her eyes gazed, and he just smiled. He wrapped his arm around her shoulder, and kissed on top of her head.

 

“Just go and take that shoes, and here..”, he unwrapped his arm from Jessica’s shoulder, and fished out his wallet from his pants pocket. He then took out his credit card, and grabbed Jessica’s hand. He placed the card into Jessica’s palm.

 

“Take this. I’ll wait for you outside, okay?”, he said while patting her head gently.

 

“B-but..”, she was about to protest when Sooyoung suddenly put his index finger on her lips.

 

“Shhh… just take it”, he said before he walked out of the store, leaving Jessica dumbfounded.

 

“Gomawo!”, Jessica thanked her fiance soon after she approached him. She hugged him by the waist, and tiptoed to kiss his cheek.

 

“You’re welcome”, he replied with a grin. Jessica pulled off the hug, and grabbed his hand. She was about to put the credit card back into Sooyoung’s palm when he suddenly pulled his hand from her grip. Jessica furrowed her brows as she felt confused with his action just now.

 

“Wae?”, she asked. Sooyoung hugged her by the waist.

 

“That’s for you. I made a supplement card for you. Just use it whenever you need it, okay?”, he said.

 

“But, I’ve already had one”, she said. He didn’t reply her, instead he pointed at the paper bag which Jessica was holding. Jessica handed the paper bag to him, and he carried the paper bag. He pulled off the hug, and grabbed Jessica’s hand, entwined their hands together.

 

“Kaja!”, he said. “Where next?”, he asked, and gently pulled her hand to start walking.

 

“Babyyy..”, she whined as she stopped walking. Sooyoung stopped walking too.

 

“Waeyo?”, he asked. He smiled while looking at her pouting face.

 

“Jung Sooyeon. I love you so much. I want to give the whole world to you if I could, but unfortunately I can’t. That’s only a small gift from me to you. Just take it, okay? There will be more after we got married”, Sooyoung said softly. Jessica couldn’t help but to smile and feel overwhelmed after hearing his sweet words.

 

“I love you too, Choi Sooyoung. Thank you so much for being so kind to me. You don’t have to do that. What more important is your love to me, that would be more than enough”, she replied. Sooyoung smiled, and he felt like he wanted to hug her tight, and showering her with kisses right now, but he realized that they were at the public place, so, he just hold it.

 

“Alright, let’s continue shopping, and then we can drop by at the dessert store over there. I’m craving to eat mango shaved ice”, he said while gulping. Jessica giggled on his antics.

 

“Arasso, my shikshin baby. Let’s go!”, she replied, and pulled Sooyoung’s hand to continue their walk, resuming their shopping activities.

 

Yes, love is all they need. And, for Sooyoung, he would do anything to make his loved one happy. His sleeping beauty princess to be exact.
