Ending (Ver. A)
I'll show you (Get ing ready)Zelo sighed.
School had ended and summer had started up again.
Normally he would be having fun with his friends, but this summer, his mom decided to crack down on him and forced him to study for all the mandated tests and finish his summer assignments a couple months early.
Himchan wasn't around anymore, he had left to go to some fancy performing arts school that was far away, along with most of the foreign exchange kids.
Youngjae sat down next to him, pointing at the little doodle on the margins of his paper.
"Zelo, you're supposed to be studying, not drawing."
Zelo wrinkled his nose and stuck his tongue out.
He heard a light ping sound as a rock hit his window.
Poking his head out the window, he saw Yongguk and Daehyun sitting outside.
"Hey, Daehyun's here too."
Youngjae tossed aside his book and scrambled for the window.
Zelo smirked at Youngjae.
"Aren't you supposed to be studying too?"
Youngjae rolled his eyes.
"No, because I, unlike you, have already done most of my assignments. Nice try, smartass."
Zelo pouted, but was quickly distracted by Yongguk's voice.
"Zelo, aren't we going out on a date today? Did you forget again?"
"Nooo~" Zelo yelled back, but quickly ducked back into the room to change.
Youngjae laughed.
Daehyun frowned at him.
"You probably forgot that we have a date today too."
Youngjae's eyes widened and he quickly attempted to get ready.
Daehyun sighed.
"YOU GUYS ARE BOTH SO FORGETFUL. YOU'RE SO LUCKY TO HAVE US AS BOYFRIENDS." He shouted up at the window.
Zelo stuck his tongue out as he made a face at Daehyun.
"WE DON'T NEED YOU, WE ARE PERFECTLY INDEPENDENT YOUNG M-"
"CHOI JUNHONG YOU BETTER BE STUDYING OR YOU'RE GETTING SPANKED."
Zelo froze and yelled back at his mom with an exasperated tone. "UMMAAAAAAAAAAAAA."
Youngjae laughed.
"YOO YOUNGJAE ARE YOU DISTRACTING MY BABY BECAUSE I CAN HEAR EVERYTHING."
Youngjae slapped his hand over his mouth.
Daehyun laughed, eyes crinkling up into slits.
Yongguk smirked. "Perfectly independent young men?"
Zelo narrowed his eyes.
" off. WE ARE MEN GODDAMMIT. I'll show you."
Youngjae caught the familiar phrase, his eyes twinkling as he thought about the memory.
"YOU BETTER GET ING READY." He shouted along with Zelo, both remembering the promise.
Across the country, Himchan suddenly looked up from his books.
"What's wrong?" His roommate asked.
"It's nothing, I just thought that I heard something from back home."
He smiled warmly and pulled out his phone, sending a quick text.
GROUP MESSAGE TO ZELO, YOUNGJAE : You guys better not be doing anything stupid right now. I can feel it in my bones.
Himchan pressed down firmly on send.
He got back two quick replies.
Zelo: Whatever. Go do your homework and , college boy.
Youngjae: How old are you to be feeling things in your bones. jesus.
Himchan rolled his eyes and tossed his phone to the side.
"Whatever."
