Day 88
2013, Year of UsFriday March 29th, 2013
After a rude awakening in the form of a phone call from both Jongdae and Kyungsoo, Yu-ki had finally set a date for her return to Seoul. She had one week to settle everything in Vancouver before returning home. Since her return to Vancouver she had gotten a good chunk of her assignments completed though, granted, they were not the same quality as her previous work she still did impressively regardless of her condition.
Yu-ki was in her room to grab a sweater when she came across the folder of letters she had taken from her office in her father’s apartment in Guangzhou. Easily locating one with UBC’s logo on it, she looked inside to see its contents.
It was an acceptance letter. Yu-ki had applied and gotten into their English program with a scholarship and a co-op position. Quickly looking at another letter, this one from Guangzhou University, she saw that this too was an acceptance letter. Remembering a journal entry she had read a while ago, she was not surprised to see letters from multiple different post-secondary institutions, but one that surprised her was a smaller letter, one with UBC’s logo, that was out of place. Having already seen both confirmation of her application and her acceptance letters, she was curious as to what this letter could be about. Taking out the paper, Yu-ki slowly read the contents.
Miss Katie Li, We are sorry to hear that you will not be joining us this upcoming semester. We will surely be missing a true scholar. We wish you the best in whatever you have chosen to pursue and if you ever wish to join us again, please know that you will always have a spot here at the University of British Columbia.
Yu-ki had to read the letter again to make sure she had read it right. You will always have a spot. Yu-ki could still get the life she always imagined having.
[A/N]: and the pandorica opens. This is just the first of many reveals. I apologize in advance for the emotional turmoil I will be putting everyone through.
