Day 49
2013, Year of UsMonday February 18th, 2013
“Since your suggestion yesterday,” Kyungsoo looked over at Yu-ki. “I have decided on today’s itinerary.”
“Whatever,” Yu-ki scoffed. “If I recall properly, you were the one most excited about yesterday’s trip.”
“I have decided we are going shopping.” Kyungsoo continued as if she hadn’t spoken. “It isn’t every day we get to shop in Hong Kong.”
Unfortunately, Kyungsoo had chosen a shopping mall, one with stores that you could easily find in Seoul. It didn’t make the shopping experience any different to Yu-ki. However, to the boys, it was a complete change.
“How is this any different from shopping in Seoul?” she grumbled to herself. “If you really wanted to shop in Hong Kong, you need to go to the little boutiques instead.” Yu-ki wandered from the rest of the group.
“Cool a skating rink!” Chanyeol shouted from behind her. “Let’s go.” He dragged Baekhyun up to the entrance. “Yooki, come translate for us.” His deep voice carried over the busy crowd turning heads.
“Let’s go,” Jongdae said walking towards the pair. “It could be fun.”
“I don’t think that’s such a good idea.” Jongin blanched.
“Come on Jongin, when was the last time you went skating?” Yu-ki grabbed his hand and walked to Chanyeol before he could cause unnecessary trouble.
“Why didn’t you tell us you can’t skate?” Kyungsoo said between laughs as Jongin tried to get up for the 5th time in the past minute.
“I tried.” Jongin reached to grab him but just ended up falling again. Kyungsoo laughed as he skated away.
“You know as a dancer, you have really terrible balance sometimes.” Yu-ki helped him up. “I thought you would be light on your feet. Look at Chanyeol, he’s so tall and lanky, but skates so gracefully.”
“What about you?” Jongin almost fell again. He gripped tighter to Yu-ki’s hand for support. “I didn’t know you could skate.”
“Please, I’m Canadian.” She responded. “We’re practically put on skates the moment we can walk.”
The mall they are at is Festival Walk (又一城), and yes there really is a skating rink in the mall. check out their home page here. Also shopping in Hong Kong is very much like shopping in Seoul or America. If you want the speical things, you really do have to go out of your way to look for them. Also Canadians are put on skates the moment they can walk.
