Tao stared at the letter before him reading it once again despite having already memorized its contents. He had been toying with the idea of applying to an overseas summer program for a while and after receiving an email back in January, it was the final push he needed and immediately after completed his application. Slowly, a wide grin spread across his face. Looks like he would see Yu-ki earlier than expected.
“You wanted to see me Professor Wu?”
“Please Tao, how many times do I have to tell you to just call be auntie when it’s just the two of us?”
“Sorry auntie. It’s a force of habit.” He responded bashfully. “What was it you wanted to speak to me about?”
“Ah yes.” Yu-ki’s mother transformed into Professor Wu. “You know that summer program that you applied to?” Tao nodded his head wearily as a smile broke out on her face. “Congratulations, you’re headed to Seoul for ten weeks.”
