“Chanyeol stop it.” Yu-ki said placing her hand on his thigh stopping his shaking. “You are driving me crazy.”

“I can’t help it,” He whined, “I’m just so nervous.”

“I am too, but you don’t see me trying to bring the building down do you?” She whispered back harshly. 

“Will you two be quiet,” Jongdae hissed from Chanyeol’s other side. “The show is starting soon and the last thing we need is an article saying we’re disrespectful.”

“Geez, Jongdae, relax will you.” Yu-ki said as Chanyeol nodded in agreement.

“I can’t.” he said through clenched teeth. “I have an exam tomorrow at 8:30 in the morning and instead I am stuck here at this show to keep up appearances. If Baekhyun were not a friend, I would not be here, now shut up.” The lights slowly dimmed and the chatter died down as the music got louder.

This was only Yu-ki’s second time (that she remembers) witnessing a fashion show, and like the first time, she was absolutely entranced. Baekhyun had been all secretive of his work from this particular project and no one had seen anything, not even a sketch, until this moment. It was easy to see where Baekhyun got his creative genes from as his designs were so professional looking and Yu-ki automatically thought of the show back in Hong Kong. Despite Baekhyun’s suppressed disregard for his parents, it was visible in his work that he drew inspirations from them and he truly loved what he did. Underneath all of Baekhyun’s snarky and indifferent demeanor, he is actually an incredibly sensitive and complex being.
