Day 87
2013, Year of UsThursday March 28th, 2013
Since today was the day that her mother’s class was having their second midterm, she did not want to be around Tao and his friends as a distraction (or in case others got the wrong impression). In fact, Yu-ki really didn’t even want to head to campus but she knew that if she didn’t that would mean the whispers have won. And if anything had stayed the same, with or without amnesia, it was that Yu-ki never let the whispers win. Never let them dictate her life.
Instead, to bid herself some time before meeting with Tao after his midterm, she decided to check out the Arts building. Despite having been on campus multiple times, she had never wandered away from the couple buildings her mother would teach at. It came to her immense relief that as she got closer and closer to the Arts building, the stares were getting less and less intense.
Having already spoken to the professor earlier, Yu-ki was able to sit in a Photography lecture (not unlike one that she would be enrolled in) and found a spot for her in the back. As more and more students started piling in, she would get a few stares but after a moment of contemplation, they would all turn away deeming her unimportant. Sitting in this lecture was the most comfortable she had been on the campus since her arrival. Following her mother’s footsteps Yu-ki had to always be wary and cautious of her actions since everyone was watching her every move. Vaguely, she wondered how Kris was able to handle four years while she only had two weeks. It was nice to finally be out of the spot light, to finally relax and not think about maintaining a certain image. Even while in Seoul she still had the weight of her father on her shoulders. Here, in this Photography lecture, no one cared who her mother was, no one cared who her father was, no one cared who her brother was. She was simply Katie.
[A/N]: A character development of sorts. The next five chapters or so are super important. I will finally be revealing a whole bunch of things and (finally) introducing Sehun (kinda)
