At 11AM after Yu-ki had taken a shower and gotten dressed, as she was preparing to cook herself some lunch, her doorbell rang. She cautiously approached the security panel and the door camera.  Seeing as she was not expecting someone nor could it have been Kris or Minseok as they were still at work, so it came as a surprise when she saw Jongin on the other side of the door. He was hopping from foot to foot unable to stay still as if he were nervous or something, but Yu-ki simply dismissed it as another dancer habit of his. As her hands were still dirty from her lunch preparation, instead of actually walking to the door, she opened the door using the panel and the intercom.

“Door’s open.” She said through the intercom making Jongin jump in surprise at hearing her voice. Trusting nothing was going to happen in the three seconds it took for Jongin to actually open her front door and walk in, she walked away from the security panel and went back to her lunch preparation. Hearing the front door open and close followed by the timid footsteps in the front hallway, she called out to Jongin again. “In the kitchen!”

The way Jongin shuffled into the kitchen was different than usual as he was more hesitant, which odd considering Jongin was never hesitant around Yu-ki. “What’s up? Did you eat yet?” Yu-ki asked seeing as Jongin was not going to speak first. “I can make you something.” She finished moving towards the fridge to get more ingredients.

“No, no, no. It’s alright. You don’t have to.” Jongin all but shouted from his seat. Yu-ki only shot him a look over her shoulder that instantly shut him up. “Sorry, I should have called before coming.”

 “Are you serious Jongin? Do you hear yourself?” Yu-ki responded without any heat. “You know you’re welcome here anytime. I’m pretty sure Minseok is like two seconds away from just giving you your own key.” Jongin laughed at that and Yu-ki’s heart warmed seeing him smile again.

“I know, it’s just I haven’t been around lately and,”

“I’m going to stop you right there Jongin. You don’t need to explain yourself.” She cut him off. “I get it, what you’re going through. It can’t be easy. I mean I don’t know exactly, but I understand. And I already told you, I’m here for you.”
