Day 58
2013, Year of UsWednesday February 27th, 2013
“Why didn’t you tell me we knew each other?” Yu-ki asked the moment Lu Han took the seat across from her.
“Because we didn’t.” He responded fluidly not even batting an eyelash.
“The framed pictures in my father’s house speak differently.” She retorted back.
“Ahh, the Guangzhou skyline at sunset.” Lu Han said dreamily pausing to turn to the passing waitress to order a cup of coffee. “That’s some of my best work.” He turned back to face Yu-ki. She was not impressed. “Okay, fine. I did a project for your father once.” Lu Han spoke exasperatedly throwing his hands into the air for effect. “I thought it was common courtesy to give something in return to your employer, so I mailed those prints as a thank you.”
“Why would you address it to me though? It was a gift to the company, not me. I have no affiliations with it.” Yu-ki tried to distance herself from her father’s company as much as possible and didn’t like getting tangled into his business affairs.
“Because we met briefly once, and in passing you mentioned that you were accepted to Seoul National so, I thought, what other way to show my appreciation then by sending a gift to the president’s favourite daughter.” Lu Han explained flashing a smile.
“I’m his only daughter.” She scowled.
“And therefore his favourite.” He retorted back.
For clarity's sake, Lu Han is lying, sorta. He's not telling the full truth, but he's not really lying either. This will most definitely come back and bite him in the , The real truth will be revealed at a later date. I think I'm gonna write this scene again but from his POV either for next chapter or later, but it will definitely be soon.
