It was their second week being in one roof, Siwon got used to Victoria being around the house and waiting for him to come home. Somehow, he felt resentment on treating Victoria like a stranger earlier when they were together. After all, he loved her, but now he just treats her like a friend. He had to admit that by some means. Victoria eased his aching for Tiffany. He wasn’t that much miserable anymore.

It was three o’clock in the afternoon, Siwon was not busy that day and he had much to time reflect on what’s happening lately. He hasn’t heard a word from Ryeowook yet about his wife. The thought frustrated him, at that moment he wished he should book a flight to the States and take Tiffany home. But impassiveness won’t get them through; he had to trust his wife that someday they’ll be back together. His deep thinking was shattered by a phone call, seeing the ID it was Victoria on the other line.

“Hey, Vic.”

“Um, hey. I just called, I’m on the way to the grocer, maybe you wan’t something for dinner?”

This got him thinking, the past few days; Victoria has been taking care of him well which made him forget that it was actually a deal to keep the secret.

“Uh, hm. I have nothing in mind. Oh, why don’t we just eat outside? Besides I’m coming home early. There’s not much work in the office today.”

“Oh, really? Okay.” Victoria was excited about the thought Siwon inviting her over dinner out. It has been a while and it felt like they were dating again. She had high hopes that Siwon is slowly falling for her.

“Yeah. I’ll see you at home in an hour.” After the phone call, Siwon packed his things and drove home.

He was a bit obnoxious on taking Victoria out, there might be someone who could see them being together and might get the wrong idea. Nevertheless, he brushed off the discerning and reasoning that a night out won’t hurt. That’s what he thought.

They went to Siwon’s favorite Italian restaurant, where he and Tiffany usually spend their time out. Victoria was more than happy to have this moment with the man he loves until now. The dinner went well, Siwon was just talking about how his day in the office went while the lady just nodded at his small anecdotes, and after all, it was more than what she can ask for. Just a little bit more and something inside of her mind will soon happen.

Jessica was driving home when she was halted by the red light. She was pretty impatient to get home because Donghae might be waiting for her for them to have dinner. Her eyes wandered around the streets when she saw a familiar figure by the restaurant to her left. If her eyes tell it right, it was Siwon and he was with an unknown lady. They seemed to be having fun from afar, this gyrated Jessica to so many questions. She came into her senses and immediately took out her phone to take some photos. Obviously, she doesn’t know what the hell was happening. Donghae promised Siwon not to tell anyone about their secret regarding Victoria. Jessica wanted answers, but she knew it wasn’t the right time. She had to know more.

After dinner, Victoria asked Siwon to walk around before going home. Siwon did not mind and they started strolling to the nearby park. For a moment, they did not spoke to each other. Not until Victoria broke the silence with her sudden confession.

“Siwon can I ask you something?”

The lad turned his head onto her direction with such curiosity

“What?”

“By any chance, um, what do you think of me?”

“Huh?” Siwon was dazed with the sudden question.

“Siwon, I want to know the truth, are you toying with my feelings?! Why are you like this?”

He got pissed with the nag he got from Victoria.

“Isn’t this what you want? Frankly, I’m just being friendly. Don’t mix it up with anything.”

“Siwon, you’re lying. I know you feel something for me. All those things these past few days, your touch, you coming home early, taking me out to dinner. Why don’t we get back together?”

Siwon sighed, partly because he was frustrated and partly…

Because she was telling the truth.

He could not help but develop feelings with her ex. To an extent, he blamed his longing for Tiffany. Victoria was there when he was so desperate and down. She was there when he nearly broke down with his sanity. Most of all, she stayed beside him, seeing every pain he has been through. He was caught off guard when Victoria kissed him and he couldn’t help but to kiss back. When he got through his senses, he pulled apart, silently turned away and he asked for the girl for them to go home.

The next day, Siwon left home early before Victoria could wake up. His thoughts were crowded of what happened last night. Why did he kissed back? What would Tiffany feel if she knew about this? Is he cheating already? He cannot tell Donghae about what happened on their dinner, his friend will surely rip him to bits if he knows of this. Tapping his pen on the table, his phone started ringing in the background, he did not plan to answer since he was expecting it was Victoria, he wanted to be away for a while. When he turned to get some of his papers, he noticed the caller ID and saw it was Ryeowook’s. Before it could be cut off, he quickly picked up and heard a familiar voice on the other line.

“Yoboseo?”

“Siwon, it’s Tiffany. I’m coming home.”
