The district competition was basically patterned on the hit show Amazing Race. There will be seven stops arranged by the organizers, which will test the abilities of the team members. During the first six events, a pair shall represent the group. They have to complete a task or answer a question to pass a stage and move on to another. The last event shall require team effort.

However, the organizers had chosen to very secretive about the events. All the participating schools know is that it would cover both sports and academics. What games and subjects will be included are complete mysteries.

The administration of Gyeonggi Science High School allowed the students to facilitate their own three-week training, as per the group’s request. Assistance from the teachers will be readily available though. Finances will be provided if necessary.

Monday afternoon, the 12 students were gathered at the same conference hall where they all first met. Kevin and Soojung sat in the middle of the group beside each other – to the utter surprise of many. Soojung scowled. It’s the second time Kevin had interrupted her speech. However, she decided to let it pass again, because in the end, what he said was true. “For the school, for the school,” she recited those words in her head like a mantra. “But God forgive me if a third interference occur,” she added.
