“I swear I’m getting nervous,” Soojung stated as she entered through a thick velvety door which Kevin held open for her. “This is my first time coming to a planetarium.”

The guy chuckled. She’s so cute when excited. She just couldn’t stop speaking. She can’t stop smiling. Somehow, it makes Kevin feel so at ease, knowing that the girl is actually enjoying their so called ‘date’. But more than that, it thrills him to see another side of the queenka which not everyone is privileged to witness.

“Wait until you see the main presentation,” he said.

As they walk through the carpeted corridor, Soojung tried to hold in the excitement. Yet she knew she was failing miserably at it. A gasp escaped her lips as she got a glimpse of the blue neon lights on the floor, serving as guides for them as they came up the stairs.

Her head tilted up and hung open as she realized that they were really inside the planetarium already. She stared at the dome and her heart thumped excitedly. How lovely would it be to see even just a replica of the whole galaxy without any kind of hindrances?

A smile of contentment played across Kevin’s luscious lips as he stared at Soojung through the slight darkness. Understanding that the show is about to begin, he grabbed her hand softly and pulled her to the center aisle of the planetarium seats. When they were at the center, he released her from his grasp and together, they sat on the reclining chairs.

“Why are we the only ones here?” Soojung suddenly asked as she looked around. True enough, there was no one around them. She could swear she remembered seeing a note outside stating that planetarium shows will only be held when there are more than fifteen people willing to watch.

Kevin smirked as he leaned, then he casually turned to look at the girl beside her. “Who cares?” There’s no way he would tell her that he paid for twenty three people just for them to watch the show alone.

Suddenly, the lights from the sides of the dome dimmed. As the whole planetarium was dominated by darkness, the two stared at the vast screen above them. Slowly, glimmering lights came fading in one by one, forming a stunning galaxy of stars.

Soojung covered in awe as she took in the majesty of the view. Gasps occasionally escape her lips as her focus jump from one star to another. It was a perfect sight, despite not being real. It was just so breathtaking to lie down under a carpet of stars.

Kevin, too, was stunned; but not by the stars above them. His heart felt like jumping out of his chest in joy as he took in his own definition of beauty. He leaned on his side slyly and stared at the gorgeous creation that glows just like the stars amid the darkness of the place.
