ScorpioSoojung stilled as the colors in her face begin to fade. Suddenly, her knees felt wobbly that she had to hold onto Kevin’s arms for support. As if in slow motion, she let her gaze wander around as the news sank in. Disregarding the people passing by, her eyes rested on the blue KBS logo above the rotating doors.
Seeing his girlfriend’s reactions, Kevin knew instantly that she didn’t like the surprise. How stupid could he be? Of course, that would be too burdensome for Soojung since he didn’t give her the chance to prepare. In the end, he blamed himself for being such an insensitive brat.
However, it’s not like he wanted this.
Decided to calm his girlfriend down, he brought her to a café across the building. He sat her on the couch and plopped himself beside her. But as he tried to put his arm behind, the girl scooted away; and he couldn’t help but feel a pang of pain in his heart.
“A-are you m-mad?” The guy asked though he’s completely aware of the answer to his question.
He was expecting her to whine, scream or glare. But instead, she gave him the blank, chilling stare before shaking her head.
Somehow, it made him feel guiltier.
Kevin reached out for her hand, the other one cupping her cheek. “I’m sorry,” he whispered as he met her gaze intently. He was desperate to make her believe that he didn’t mean to be so imposing.
A sigh escaped Soojung’s lips as her shoulders relaxed. Calmness shot through Kevin’s system knowing that his girlfriend’s finally okay now. But ever before he could smile in relief, he gasped as he felt pain on the side of his head.
The girl whacked him there.
“Why didn’t you tell me beforehand that we’re meeting your mom?!” She half-screamed, half-hissed as she pulled the sideburns of her boyfriend.
