Her cheeks felt hot as it continued to flush red even after Kevin left. She kept on biting her lip and the insides of her cheeks to stop herself from grinning. The last thing she wanted to happen is for her to be mistaken as a crazy person, in case someone sees her in solitude. Yet of course, she’s having a hard time controlling her feels as she watched the car speed away.

“I’m hopeless,” she muttered as she slapped her forehead jokingly as she turned to enter their gates.

“Hopelessly romantic.”

Krystal gasped at the sudden presence as her eyes went wide in surprise. “OMO! SINCE WHEN ARE YOU HERE?” A tremendous feeling of panic surged in as she saw Amber grinning at her.

“Prove me you’re worth it,” the older girl imitated the scene she witnessed with exaggeration. She was hugging herself with her eyes closed dreamily to add to the tease. The other girl couldn’t help but bury her face in her palms as she rushed inside her house, and into her room, in total embarrassment.

Of course, the cousin followed.

Wanting to escape the teasing from the older girl, Krystal went directly to her bathroom and locked the door. She listened to the annoyed knocks and yells coming from outside as she leaned on the cold bathroom wall adjacent to her door.

She stared at her reflection and noticed how the smile won’t leave her lips. She knew her cheeks were beginning to hurt as the muscles began to feel strained yet she couldn’t stop it. She doesn’t have the heart to stop.

Memories of the confession reoccurred in her thoughts and she couldn’t help but giggle. She brought her palms to her cheeks to alleviate the redness of it, to no avail. Instead, she ended up getting embarrassed with herself as the feeling of that blossoming romance overpowered her system.

It’s still a mystery to her how it all turned out like that. They were supposed to be mortal enemies, how did they end up that way? Perhaps, fate really works unexpectedly and they were chosen to be the subjects of an interesting love story.
