chapter 19
ScorpioKevin walked Soojung to her room only to find out that they were both excused from their classes for the whole day. It’s the principal’s order apparently, which they knew through a note posted on the bulletin board of their first classes. Their decision came quite late and the school official knew they needed all the time they could have to review for a competition happening the next day.
The man couldn’t honestly find the need for such special treatment because knowing himself and his partner, they’ll most likely depend on stock knowledge only; but a whole day of uninterrupted interaction with Jung Soojung certainly looked promising.
“I guess we have no choice,” the girl snickered lightly.
She won’t admit it openly but the opportunity to be with the kingka for one whole day surely lifted her mood. It has been so long since she felt that way and it was really good. The way everything felt light with the guy around, it makes her somehow forget about her miserable past.

“I know it’s unusual to see Soojung and I together, but it’s not abnormal. We’re both students here just like all of you, so I wish you guys would just stop the unnecessary whisperings and gossiping when you see us together,” he said without taking his hand off the queenka’s shoulder. “Get used to it.”
Silence overwhelmed the whole place and all that can be heared were the two students’ steps and the clunking utensils inside the kitchen. No one could speak. Everybody was obviously stunned by the announcement.
But a few moments after, sound began to fade in and another round of murmuring erupted.
“Are they together?”
“Are they finally going out?”
“Man, I should have confessed to Krystal earlier!”
“My ship is sailing smooth!”
Kevin chuckled at how pathetic yet interesting his schoolmates are. But as he decided to just let it go, Soojung stepped out of the line and cleared to speak, her eyes directed to those supposing that they were together.
“No, we’re not together and we’re just friends,” she said with finality. “There’s gonna be a quiz bee competition tomorrow and we’re r
