ScorpioHer steps were heavy, like there’s a metal ball locked around her foot that she had to drag. Luhan was an idiot to blackmail her, but she was obviously more stupid for giving in that easily. For a moment, she wondered how they came to that situation but since it’s there already, she was left with no choice but to just go on and approach the least person she wanted to talk to.
“Hey,” Krystal whispered as she spotted Kris putting back some books back in the shelves.
Kris’ eye twitched at the sound of the familiar voice, but he knew she wouldn’t even talk to him, let alone approach him first – unless it’s totally necessary. “Stupid Luhan,” he muttered silently as he turned around. The rational person in him had made him convince that it’s his best friend who planned all this.
“Why are you here?” He asked nevertheless, cold and nonchalant.
Krystal’s eyebrow rose at the unwelcoming tone. “I approached you nicely so I guess it’s just proper that you reply to me in the same sort of fashion, don’t you think?” She commented.
In a way, she’s right and the kingka knew that. He then heaved a deep sigh and put the remaining books back to its proper places before turning back to Krystal again.
“Okay, I’m sorry,” he said as he leaned his body on the shelf. “Why are you here?” His voice is more calm now, and casual.
The queenka shrugged and told him about what Luhan did, making Kris’ blood boil inside. He made a mental note to kick his best friend in the later. His nose crinkled, and the girl noticed it.
“Look, I know I overdid the whining at the competition and all,” she started. “But I hate detentions and I have no other choice but to finish everything fast.”
It was an attempt for ceasefire and Krystal isn’t really the type to do that; but a queenka (and a kingka, actually) serving detention, isn’t exactly a nice picture for the studentry to see. Her reputation is at stake and she really would do anything to keep it flawless.
Kris, on the other hand, didn’t care about his reputation at all; but like the girl, he just wanted to get over this detention. He’s got basketball practice he’d like to attend, after all. As the captain ball of the team, it’s a shame for him to miss sessions for this fate.
“Okay,” Kris spoke. “I call for a truce, then?” He said as he offered his hand for a handshake.
