Give Me A Smile
Narrator’s POV
Weeks passed, Mr. Huang was getting better, color had returned his cheeks but he was still asleep. Huangfu Conglomerate was already back on its track with the two young ones handling it.
“You…..look tired.” Kris said as he walked in her office. Jooyoung smiled and looked up.
“Gee, thanks for reminding me. Sit down.” She said as she stood up. Kris nodded and sat down.
“Coffee?”
“Nope, no thanks.” He said. Jooyoung sat beside him.
“You should take a break. You have dark circles.” He said as he ran his finger under her eye.
“I’m fine. You?”
“I’ve been doing this for a long time, Huang Fushan.” He smirked. Jooyoung made a face, Kris smiled and pulled her with him.
“Actually, I’m not asking you to take a break because you’re tired.” He explained.
“What is it?”
“You haven’t been showing yourself anymore.”
She chuckled and leaned on him. Kris smiled.
“I hope appa wakes up soon,I have a lot to learn from him.” She said thoughtfully.
“I’m sure he’ll be so proud, no, he’s always been proud of you.”
“Wae? Because I’m dating the Wu Xiao Ye(Wu young master)?”
“Ani, because…….he fell for you.” Kris grinned. Jooyoung rolled her eyes, but nevertheless let him be. Kris was only like that when they were alone. She finds it kind of cute in a way. Once an ice prince, always an ice prince.
“I wonder what people would say if they this side of Wu Yi fan.”
He shrugged and kissed her cheek.
“Time to go, lunch with the guys.” He patted her lap and stood up.
“I’m~”
“Luhan and the others will…….kill me if you wont come.”
Your POV
“Lulu!” I said as we got inside the restaurant. Tao rolled his eyes at me.
“How are you doing, mei? It’s been a long time.” Xiumin oppa stood up and gave me a hug.
“I’m okay, oppa how are you doing?” I asked as I sat between Lulu and Lay.
“The question is, how are you two doing?” Chen grinned. I saw Kris tense. I grinned.
“I don’t know. I’m hungry, did you guys order already?” I asked.
“I hope he doesn’t act like a statue all the time.” Luhan oppa commented.
“Ya, I’m right here you know.” Kris said. Everyone laughed.
“Somehow, I don’t feel guilty dragging you here.” I said as I looked around the showcase. We were inside a convention hall where different companies were showing their new products.
“This doesn’t bore you?” I asked. Kris shook his head.
“Something’s bothering you.” I said. He smiled and took my hand.
“People ask me about you, what should I say?”
“I’m your girlfriend……….?” I replied.
“I can call you that?” He brightened.
“No.” I stuck my tongue out. He chuckled.
Narrator’s POV
The couple walked around while talking. It was rare to see Kris smile in public that’s why some of the people looked at him as he passed. But of course that didn’t mean he would smile to other people, he was smiling when Jooyoung would occasionally whisper to him about something.
“Oh, Miss Wu, nice meeting you again.”
“Oh, Kikwang, right? Kangsan Group?”
The younger man nodded and shook her hand.
“Its been a long time, did the merger go well?” He asked.
“Yes, it did. Thank you for your help that time.” Jooyoung nodded. Kris stiffened.
“If you want we can get some coffee~”
Kris placed one arm around her waist.
“I’m sorry, I’m a bit busy today. I have some things to check on first, but thanks.” Jooyoung said. Kris pulled her away and they began walking again.
“That was…..rude.” She muttered.
“I don’t like him.”
“You don’t like anybody.” She said dryly. Kris chuckled and touched her nose briefly.
“Not true, I love you.” He smiled and looked ahead. Jooyoung blinked at him, then she smiled.
