“Is your cold fine now?”

I heard a deep voice behind me. I looked up and saw Kris looking very handsome in his tuxedo.

“It’s better now, thanks for asking.” I replied.

“What about your hand?” I asked. He just shook his head and he gestured for us to walk. I smiled as I recognized some people as we passed by.

“Something’s bothering you.” I said. He looked at me.

“No need to spill it to me, I just hope you would stop glaring.” I grinned as I hit him playfully. He chuckled and made my arm wrap around his.

“Where’s Moli?” I asked.

“She’s with Lay and Chen~”

“Why let Lay suffer?”

“You know about Lay’s choosiness now?”

I nodded. Then I heard my father’s voice, he was already speaking on the mic. We stopped walking and looked at the stage.

Kris’s POV

She looked at the stage. I felt a smile form on my lips.

I was relieved when I found out that Myungsoo was her cousin.

“The moment we’ve been waiting for.” She whispered and smiled at me.

“I’m very thankful for your presence, I am pleased to announce to you that my son, Huang Zitao or Edison as we call him we’ll be taking over our Korean branch. Please welcome him.”

Tao went up the stage and gave his little speech both in Chinese and Korean. Jooyoung chuckled lightly.

“I sense you don’t speak Chinese well?” I asked her.

“Gee, thanks for reminding me.”

“And, I have another announcement to make.” Uncle Xi Zhen started.

“My eldest daughter, Huang Fushan will be getting engaged soon to Mister Lee Seunghyun of Kangsan Corporation.”

I heard Jooyoung gasp and took a step back, I pulled her back just in time.

Engaged?!

I saw Tao’s eyes widened at his father. He immediately went down.

“Kris, I need to~”

“I know, come on let’s go.”

Narrator’s POV

Jooyoung sat on the bench. There were at the hotel’s garden. Kris watched her with worried eyes.

“This…..is unbelievable.” She muttered. Kris pursed his lips and sat beside her. He gently placed his coat around her.

“You didn’t know about it?”

She nodded. Kris gently held her hands and squeezed it.

“You can talk to your father about it.”

“It’s out to the public now, once its out, its out. Nothing will change.”

Kris brows furrowed. Jooyoung sighed and looked down. Then they heard Tao coming.

“Noona, whats happening?” He asked.

“I…don’t know.” She replied without looking up. Tao’s brows furrowed and he looked at Kris, then they heard someone coming.

“Miss Huang, right?”

Jooyoung looked up.

“I’m Lee Seunghyun, I’m your fiancé.”

Tao eyed the man in disdain. Jooyoung stood up and looked at the man.

“I’m sorry but I don’t approve of this…..engagement, if you~”

“There’s no going back, Fushan.” The man grinned.

Kris’s eye twitched, he talked to casually for his taste.

“I don’t want to get engaged, I’m sorry, but I need to speak with my father.” Jooyoung was about to side step him, but the man moved to catch her wrist that was when something happened.

Before Tao could react, Kris tugged Jooyoung back and her cheek landed lightly on his chest. She froze and looked up.

“She wont get engaged to you, she’s mine.” Kris said.
