Mir's P.O.V

         After sitting on the plane for an eternity we finally landed in California. The problem was, where the hell do we go now? My English isn't too good and Joon isn't here to translate. Hyuna and Thunder are messing around in the airport while those ahjussi's are busy getting their freak in an airport bathroom, because according to them, 'you need to be more adventurous in your life'. Apparently the reason me and Joon are having ‘problems’ is because we’re not ‘wild’ enough. I chuckled then pinched myself. This isn’t the time to be laughing, time to get serious. I was thinking of what we should do next when I remembered the black box. Joon did say that once I open and see what’s inside mostly everything will take care of itself. I quickly pulled it out of my duffle bag and opened it.

       After reading the instructions on the note I found in the box I nearly lost all hope if I hadn’t read the back. After I gathered everyone we got in another taxi and headed towards the woods. Nobody noticed anything until the trees showed. They thought we were going to one of those exotic cabin hotels. They have no idea what they’re getting themselves into. I paid the taxi driver and we all climbed out of the cab. They were all searching for a cabin or a person or anything that signaled humanity but all they found was trees and more trees and the occasional bird and bugs.

“Mir what the hell is this?”

“Hyung you and G.O invited yourselves okay? I didn’t force you to come, now be quiet.”

“Don’t talk to your hyung like that!”

“Shhh.”

“So kid what do we do now? We don’t have food or any other supplies.”

“Don’t worry. All we have to do now is wait.”

       Cheongdoong, Hyuna, and Seung Ho fell asleep after a while of waiting. Good thing to because they were getting annoying with their whining of no food, or there were too many bugs. Eventually Byunghee also fell asleep and that left me all alone with Myungsoo. I walked over to a fallen log and sat on it with my knees pulled up to my face and wrapped my arms around them. I felt him come and sit next to me.

“Don’t worry. Joon will be alright. I know he will.”

“What if he gets hurt? I can’t live without him. Even though I haven’t known him my whole life, I feel like I do. I want to spend to the rest of my life with him. And if he, if he, if he dies…I’ll die with him. We’ll be together even if it means laying side by side six feet under our dirt homes.”

“CheolYong-ah, listen to me, Joon is stronger than you think. He’ll come back with that goofy smile of his. And he’ll annoy the hell out of us and you’ll both grow old together and happy with your pretty children that you can adopt or have someone have for you with your erm own …and you two will see your kids go to school and date and graduate and see them get married and see them start their family, but you have to trust Joon. You have to believe that he will be back. He’ll be back because of you. He’ll miss you so much that he will do the impossible.”

“Myungsoo why do you make it impossible for me to hate you?”

“Because I’m a cool as mofo that’s why.” I grinned at his stupid reply and breathed in deeply.

“You’re right. He’ll be back. He promised me, and he never breaks his promises.”

“See? Let’s go check on those other four and see how they’re doing.”

“Okay.” We walked back to where we left them sleeping to find bound up and sitting on the ground with men in black pointing guns and searching the place and our bags. I ran up to them but one of them grabbed me and another grabbed Myungsoo.

“Woah baby not too frisky, you don’t want to damage the goods. You break it you buy it.”

“Myungsoo this isn’t the time to be flirting you sick bastard.” The woman pushed him to another man and stood in front of me.

“Who are you? Why are you here? This is private property and you are trespassing.”

“I’m, I’m Bang CheolYong and this are my friends. We were told to come here. If you let me go I can show you the note and prove it to you.”

“Let’s see what you have kid.” I quickly ran to my bag and pulled out the box and took out the note.

“Where did you get that? Only five of those boxes were made. One was for Mr. Lee’s son and another for his daughter and wife. The other was for his own mother and the last box is unknown.”

“You see my boyfriend Joon I mean Changsun, Lee Changsun, gave me this box yesterday or is it today or tomorrow I don’t know the time zone sorry, anyways he told to grab this box and runaway with his sister and cousin because we’re in trouble. His half brother is bat crazy and wants to kill us. He thinks by doing this he can hurt Joon. I mean Changsun.”

“Nice story kid. You’re coming down to our security office.”

“I’m being serious. We just arrived from Korea a couple minutes ago. Changsun has been kidnapped by his brother and is being held hostage.”

“Kid do you think we’re stupid?”

“Master Changsun has been dead for nearly a decade along with his mother. Only Mr.Lee and Lady Hyuna survive and we don’t know where she is.”

“Hyuna? SHE’S HYUNA! AND SHE’S ALSO THE DAUGHTER OF MR.LEE! Changsun isn’t dead either and neither is his mother! They’re both alive! Mr.Lee is in Korea right now. You can call him and have him confirm that I’m Joo- I mean Changsuns boyfriend and that Hyuna is his daughter!”

“Nice try mister. His daughter has been lost for almost eight years now.”

“You have to believe me! I’m telling you the truth! We’re in danger and Changsun told us to follow what this box said!”

“We’ll have to confirm what you’re saying. Please follow me.” we were let go and walked behind the tough looking woman until we reached a metal door.

“Please wait here.” Five minutes later an old looking man came in and started feeling us up.

“H-hey!”

“Don’t be alarmed this is for security reasons only.” He finished his search and I was surprised he didn’t find the gun on Myungsoo. I scooted closer to him and whispered in his ear.

“How come he didn’t find the gun? Where is it?”

“Somewhere you probably don’t want to know. Make sure to use bleach to wash it and I’ll probably need some therapy to forget the pain.”

“Oh my god…” I looked around the room and finally sat on the floor cross legged and leaned against the wall. I closed my eyes but listened to the others conversations. Currently Myungsoo and Thunder are ing over their peanuts that got taken away.

“Will you two shut up! We have enough money to buy you a years worth of peanuts.”

“Excuse us Mr. Grouchy Pants!” I was about to respond but the door opened and in walked the same stony looking woman. She had a smile on her face. She bowed to us as we stood up.

“We’re sorry for the bad treatment Mr. Bang and friends. Mr. Lee confirmed everything. Nobody had informed about anything going on in the Korean Branch. Lady Hyuna if you would come with me please?” Hyuna looked at me and I nodded.

“She’ll meet up with you guys at dinner where you will they’re grandmother.”

“Grandmother?”

“Yes. IF you will excuse me, I must Ms. Lee to her room. Charles will show you to your rooms. IF you need any help contact him or me. It will be no bother, we are at your service night or day. Nothing is impossible for a Lee and that doesn’t exclude their staff butler.”

“T-thank you.” She left with Hyuna and soon a man arrived and showed us all to our rooms. After he was gone the five of us reunited in my room and marveled at everything we saw.

“Wow!!! I knew Joon had money but I didn’t imagine something like this!” exclaimed G.O from the bed he was bouncing oh so comfortably.

“Yeah, so Mir what happened to him? What half brother were you talking about?”

“Joon has a half brother who is well to put it mildly pretty peeved that Joon passed over his chance of inheriting his father’s company because of me. And now he’s holding him hostage.”

“That’s some pretty deep .”

“Thank you Seung Ho hyung like it wasn’t obvious before.” After a little more arguing and planning on what to do next we were called down to dinner.

Bae Saeng Gon P.O.V

    I finished my business with my dear old brother and went back home. Well that place that I’m supposed to pretend is home. I got home noticed my sister wasn’t home again. Where does she go at this time of day? She doesn’t even have friends. I sighed and reclined on expensive leather couch in the living room and sipped my drink. When you’re rich you have no laws, no rules, nobody to nag you on what you can and can’t do. I picked up Mir’s phone and scrolled through it not taking interest in anything until I got to his pictures. It was Changsun with Mir, Hyuna and Thunder smiling while eating icecream at a theme park. I wonder what it’s like being a family like them? Stop it Saeng Gon you can’t be thinking about trivial things at moments like this. You can’t get weak and wonder about stupid things. I closed the phone and got up. I took a shower and got dressed then headed back to the place where Joon was.

     I walked in the room and saw him sitting on a chair still tied. His mouth was gagged and his eyes were covered by a blindfold. I should feel something by seeing someone like this but I don’t. I don’t have a heart, and if I did it’s probably frozen. There is no one to warm it up for me. Nobody to make it beat for. I walked in further and took off the blindfold and gag off of him. We stared at each other. He has my eyes. My nose. My mouth. He has everything that was supposed to belong to me if his stupid mother hadn’t shown up! Thinking of that woman made my heart hurt. She was the reason why my father never loved my mother. Deep down he still loved his mother, he never had love for mine. My mom was just a cheap at the time but unexpectedly got pregnant and to avoid negative talk from the media he married her and had me. After I was born I was shipped to Paris. Since childhood I’ve been alone. Even when my sister was born she was sent off to America to study and we rarely saw each other or our mother.

“So hyung how did it feel to see Mireu?”

“You’re despicable!”

“Tsk. I did you a favor by letting you see him.”

“And I thank you from the bottom of my heart.”

“Do you know why I’m doing all of this?”

“…”

“I’ll tell you. It’s not for the money, it’s not to hurt you, I actually didn’t mean to hurt anybody but father was stupid. If he had a little bit smarter this wouldn’t have happened. But no he thought of his precious son Changsun the whole time. How is Changsun doing? How can I make it up to Changsun? How is Changsun living with Mir? Are they happy? Should I see them? How is Hyuna? Is she still in school like Changsun said? And through all of this not ONCE was I mentioned. Not once did he worry about me. Not once did he ever come see me or my sister or my mother.”

“…”

“Right, I didn’t expect you to say anything. Like I said it’s not because I want to hurt you but because I want to take revenge on father for all I’ve been through.” I stayed in there for another couple of minutes watching over him then left.

     When I got back home my sister had already come back. She was in her pajamas watching TV like any other regular girl would do on a weekend. I sat down next to her and watched T V with her for a while in silence.

“Oppa where were you?”

“Don’t worry about it. Go to sleep soon alright?”

“Were you fighting again?”

“No. I wasn’t fighting again. Relax okay? I’ll be gone most of the weekend, Krystal will come to clean and cook. I already paid her but give her a tip or something before she leaves. Ask her to stay over or invite some friends.”

    I ran upstairs to my room before she questioned me again. I hate lying o my baby sister. She’s the only person I have in this world and we’re not even that close. I slumped against the bedroom door and thought about my next move.

Joon’s’ P.O.V

      After Mir left they came back for me and brought me back to this forsaken room. They fed me and gave me water. At least they’re not too cruel. I sighed as thought of Mir went through my head. Did my father know this was going to happen? Did he plan on this happening? Why didn’t anybody tell me about him. I let it go and cleared my head. I don’t know how much time passed as I fell asleep. When I woke up I was wearing a blindfold and had my mouth gaged. Is this his idea of kidnapping? How many action movies did he watch to think up this lame ? I sighed and tried to sleep but I heard the door open. After a few steps someone leaned in front of me.

      I knew it was Saeng Gon right away by the smell of his foul cologne. I let him do his whole dramatic back story and cry and whine all he wanted. I didn’t say a word. He’ll go away faster this way. Does it piss him off that I don’t reply? A small smile tugged at the corner of my lips but I didn’t let it surface. After my baby brother left I was moved to another room. This time it had a bed in it. I was let go but the door was locked from the outside so I couldn’t get out. There was no window either so no luck there either.

      It’s been two weeks since I’ve been locked up in here. I was waiting for the perfect time, a time when Saeng Gon was off guard and weak. I found out what he fears the most and I’m going to take advantage of it. I won’t do anything drastic. I’ll just use it to escape and hold it hostage until I have him squirming under me. Hurt me all you want but touch Mir, you better prepare to die. Nobody touches Mirry-pie, nobody kisses his soft cherry lips except me! I let out a low chuckle and knocked on the room’s door. Today’s the day.

“What do you want?”

“I need to go to the bathroom.” The guy didn’t reply but instead put a gun behind my back and led me down the hallways until we reached the bathroom.

     After I pretended to pee I came back out and we took the usual way we did. It took longer but he enjoyed it because it meant less standing outside my door and he got more exercise. I made small talk with him, about his job, his family, anything that seemed ordinary. Little by little I switched the conversation to my brother.

“Did he come by today?”

“Yeah he’s still here but he’ll be leaving pretty soon. He brought his sister as well seems like it’s her birthday and he’s taking her out to dinner.”

“Sound cool. Where are they right now?”

“They’re in his office. Just around this corner. Want to go say hi?”

“Nah his sister is in there. What will she say?”

“True. Come on let’s go.”

“Wait. Do you mind if we wait for him, I need to ask him something.”

“No problem.” And the plan commences.

     We didn’t have to wait before my prey came out and stood by the entry way. I got up and pretended to stretch and when the guard wasn’t looking I elbowed him and took the gun. I grabbed the blindfold and gag and ran for the door. Saeng Gon was calmly putting on his coat and shoes as I grabbed his sister. I bound and gagged her like they did to me but more nicely I didn’t have any intentions of hurting her….yet. I slung her over my shoulder and ran to one of the cars. How stupid are they to leave the keys in the ignition? I started the car and speeded my way out of there.

        Mirry-pie I told you to wait for me. Did you? I’m coming baby.
