Top/Bom (In a tree against the moon.)

SeungHyun found Bom in a tree at 11:45pm.

He watches her for a while, the way she looks up at the sky with an expression akin to frustration. He shrugs and walks up to her, leaning against the trunk in the opposite direction as her.

“Nothing’s wrong.”

“Did I ever say anything was?”

SeungHyun almost chuckles as he imagines Bom rolling her eyes at him. “I hate Valentine’s Day.”

“So I’ve noticed. But then again, most people do, too. Especially the single ones. Let me guess. He broke your heart.”

“He told me I was ugly. Made me feel worthless. Went under the knife the next month.”

SeungHyun widens his eyes and moves to face Bom. “But you’re not ugly,” he says, almost childishly innocent.

Bom laughs. “I paid good money.”

SeungHyun shakes his head. “No, I don’t mean the surgery. You were beautiful before that.”

“You’re a cheesy one, aren’t you?”

“Blame Saint Valentine.”

Bom hesitates, and a tentative smile grows on her face. “Thanks.”

“Anytime,” SeungHyun promises.
