Jong Hyun's POV

"What do you need help on?" I asked, wondering if she was going to ask about company matters or a personal matter. She wouldn't have come to me for a personal matter... She retrieved a sketchbook from her purse.

"Help me draw Ae Ra." She flipped to a page in her sketchbook that had the outline of a face on it along with eyebrows and small smiling lips. Ae Ra...

"Excuse me? Draw Ae Ra?" I asked for clarification, bewildered at her absurd request. 

"Yes." I shook my head. This was too much. Ae Ra was our child. She died before we could even hold her. I was so looking foward to meeting my precious daughter, yet I never got to. The day we lost her is coming up this Friday. Ah Youngie must've wanted to draw a portrait to put in Ae Ra's memorial box to add a face to a name. I always believed that our children would be so beautiful. Why? Because their features, habits, and personality traits would consist of the qualties you and your lover have.  

"No. Sorry I can't help you." I told her, retreating back to my desk to grab my ringing phone. 

"You're Ae Ra's father." Her statement made me freeze. Every muscle in my body remained still except for my blinking wandering eyes. My hand hovered above my phone. My back was toward Ah Young, giving me the security to tell her the words that would persuade her to leave. 

"You can't draw a nomial person. It's impossible." 

"Hey! Hey! What the hell is your problem? Just because you divorced me doesn't mean that you're not Ae Ra's dad! You still are!" Ah Youngie shouted, grabbing my shoulder to make me face her. I put on my biggest defense. A guise of transparency. 

"Nothing you say will ever change my mind. Besides I'm too busy to be spending my precious leisure time drawing a portrait that doesn't exist. Now excuse me I have work to finish." Ah Youngie scoffed, completely outraged at me. 

"That's why I'm asking for your help! So that she will no longer just be a name! Yet you still won't help me?"

"No." It came out of my mouth so forced, because I was forcing myself to talk to her this way. If I told her that I still cared for her, then that will waver her feelings and then I'll have to reveal the truth to her. Even if I tell her the truth we can't go back to the way things were. We can't. 

"What was I thinking to even ask you for help? I'm the idiot for even thinking for a second that the man that threw his feelings away for me and Ae Ra would want to cooperate! Fine live your life your way! I'll live mine keeping Ae Ra in my heart!" She shouted at me with her chest heaving. I stayed silent, averting my eyes to the carpet not brave enough to look at her. 

"You do that then." I said, waiting for her to storm out of my office. Her hand touche
