Jeonghan leaned up against the closed bathroom stall door, unable to think of anything. He left his phone in his bag that Junhui took with him and Soo Min’s battery died on her phone while she was waiting in the bathroom for work to be over. He thought to use Pledis Pizza’s telephone, but remembered how strict his manager could be. He’d probably complain about someone making a phone call after closing, he was such an annoying manager sometimes, it wasn’t even worth it right now.

“I’m gonna die in here, aren’t I?” Soo Min sighed. Of course she always said dramatic things when nervous.

“You’re not!” He turned around to face the stall. “I’ll get you out of there!”

“How?” She was getting uneasy.

“Get as far back from the door as you can… I’m gonna kick it open.”

“But won’t that damage the door?” She frowned at the idea. “You’ll have to pay for it… all because of me.”

“Don’t worry about that, you’re worth the pay cut.” He assured her. She could hear the smile in his words. A smile came to her own lips.

“Then I hope I don’t make you go broke by the end of the week.” She replied, getting away from the door.

“I really wouldn’t care, either way.” He chuckled, getting ready to kick. “Are you away from the door?”

“Yes!” She answered, getting ready by covering her ears.

Three seconds later there was a loud noise as Jeonghan successfully kicked the door open.

“Wha!” She looked over to him in surprised he managed to do it in one go. “Jeonghan used low kick! It was super effective! Pikachu was set free!” She cheered, jumping out and tackling him with a hug, getting caught up in the excitement.

It took her a few seconds to realized what she was doing before she backed away instantly. “Sorry!” She blushed, looking down at the ground. Jeonghan was staring in surprise before a blush soon painted his cheeks. She hugged him!

“Pikachu used hug without permission and is now super embarrassed!” She turned away, covering her red face.

“It’s okay.” He chuckled at her comment.

“I was just so excited to see you… since I was stuck in there for two hours…” She turned back around, a nervous smile on her face.

“I missed you too, Pikachu.” He smiled sweetly at her, making her embarrassed blush darken even more. What is this?!

“Ah, of course… I’m sure everyone did.” She gave an awkward laugh.

“They did.” He nodded. “But I missed you more.” Her eyes widened a little at his sentence. Is he…?

“Is Jeonghan u-using flirt?” She stuttered out.

“He is and is hoping it’s just as effective.” He grinned, adoring her stuttering state.

“Pikachu doesn’t know what to do…” She stood still, cheeks red.

“Let’s start with getting out of here.” He laughed, helping her to the door.

“I thought they’d be home by now?” Hansol mumbled as Jisoo and him were on the couch watching some TV. The were naturally waiting for Jeonghan to bring Soo Min home. Minghao had already gone to bed just a short while ago.

“Me too.” Jisoo nodded, looking at the time. Pledis Pizza closed forty minutes ago. The walk from there to the apartment shouldn’t be taking this long.

“What could they be doing…?”

“Aw, do you miss her? I know, son, I miss her too.” Jisoo teased as he the younger boy’s head like a caring parent would.

“How long are you going to keep joking like that?!” Hansol smacked his hand away.

“I figure it’d be best if I told you why I got myself stuck in the bathroom, huh?” Soo Min said as she and Jeonghan were walking back to Jisoo’s apartment.

“You don’t have to… I’m not making you.” He replied softly.

“I’ll just put it out there… I don’t feel like explaining everything… too much backstory.” She sighed. “I’m in love with my sister’s boyfriend.” She blurted out.

Jeonghan stopped walking. In love?

“Okay, maybe I should explain just a little more.” She chuckled. “I stayed with my grandmother when Min Hee moved back to Seoul along with Ren. I was so sure that by the time I finished high school in Busan… a whole year without seeing him, or talking to him, it’d get over him because he was dating my sister. He loves my sister, not me… so I can’t keep these feelings forever. But seeing him again tonight…” She trailed off.

“You’re still in love with him.” Jeonghan finished her sentence. He couldn’t help but feel disappointed. And here he went and made those moves back in the bathroom only to find this out.

“And I don’t want to be.” She sighed, eyes focused on the ground. “I want to move on.” At those words, a smile slowly came back to his lips, his disappointment fading. So he still had a chance?

“Then do it,” he said, “move on.”

“But…” She looked up, confused before noticing him smiling down at her, there was something different about his expression just now.

“Move on... “ He repeated. “Just move on with me.”

She stared up at him, face flushed red… what a bold move!

“Jeonghan used attract on Pikachu… did it work?” He just had to go there. But translated from Pokémon terms, that meant he just confessed he liked her, didn’t he?!

“M-Maybe!” A small smile came to her blushing face. He was using Pokémon terms with her, she found it absolutely cute!

Jeonghan laughed a little, looking away for a second. “You’re really cute when you blush like that.”

“Pikachu fled!” She sprinted away down the sidewalk.

“Don’t run away from me! I’ll catch you in the end anyways!”

So many bold moves! She didn’t know how to handle this attention, she never was flirted with before… she only knew how to crush on guys she couldn’t have. But then here was Jeonghan, chasing after her down the sidewalk, laughing. He likes me?!

“What took you so long?” Hansol asked as Soo Min stepped into the apartment, avoiding everyone’s eyes.

“Just took a relaxing walk is all.” Jeonghan smiled. Hansol and Jisoo knew that look and couldn’t help but smile before turning to see Soo Min bumping into Jisoo’s door as if she was blind and couldn’t see.

“She okay?” Hansol didn’t know what that was about, but Jisoo did.

“Yeah, she’s fine.” He chuckled before facing Jeonghan again. “Thanks for taking care of her. Keep it up.”

“I will!” He beamed.

After Jeonghan left, Hansol turned to Jisoo, looking curious.

“I think things are just about to get even more interesting these next few days.” Was all Jisoo could say to him.

“Can you be more elaborate?”

“Time for bed!” Jisoo patted him on the shoulder.

“Don’t ignore my question!”

That night ended with “Goodnight, sleep tight, don’t let the Caterpies bite.”

“Good morning.” Jisoo greeted Soo Min when she entered the kitchen.

“Morning!” She replied heading to the fridge to get something to drink..

“Jeonghan text you yet?” He asked as she was pouring herself some orange juice.

“Ah!” She exclaimed from spilling some of the juice onto the counter.

“I take that as a yes?” Jisoo chuckled.

“Why do you need to know?” She pouted, getting a paper towel to clean up the small mess.

“It’s only been two days and so much has already happened.”

“Can you be more elaborate?”

“Time to go!” He patted her on the shoulder.

“Go where?!” She frowned as he ignored her question.

“To the store of course! Can’t keep living off of pizza forever.”

“Maybe we can!” She grinned, it was her favorite, naturally.

“Of course you’d say that since pizza equals seeing Jeonghan.”

“Hey! Don’t you start with the teasing! I’m still processing what happened last night in my brain… I don’t want it to fry before the day even starts!” She complained, marching off to get changed.

“You’re just buying junk food!” Soo Min frowned as she watched Jisoo fill the cart with chips and cookies.

“I’m going to buy ramen too, hold your horses, Honey.” He teased.

“This isn’t healthy!” She continued to frown. “Let’s buy actual food and I’ll cook!”

“You said ‘let’s’, does that mean you’ll help pay?” He raised a brow at her. If he bought real food, he might not have enough to cover it all.

“Yes!”

“Jeonghan has been paying for everything you touch since you got here, I’m surprised he isn’t here right now to pay for this too.” Jisoo was laughing until he turned around to see said person standing there with a smile, shopping basket in one hand. Both Jisoo and Soo Min jumped, startled by his sudden appearance.

“Good morning!” He greeted with a bright smile.

“M-Moring!” Soo Min stuttered out. Memories from last night flashed by in her mind and she became nervous.

“What a coincidence, shopping on the same day.” Jisoo chuckled.

“It wasn’t a coincidence, it was fate!” Jeonghan corrected, completely serious.

“Is fate gonna pay for our groceries today?”

“Sure, why not?” He grinned.

“I don’t understand how you haven’t gone broke yet?” Soo Min frowned. How much money does this guy have?!

“Having two well paid jobs is probably what it is.” Jisoo pointed out.

“What do you want? I’ll buy it.” Jeonghan asked Soo Min.

“Eh?!” She stared at him.

“I want all of this” Jisoo said in a high pitched voice, grabbing her arm to make her motion to the their basket.

“Anything else?” Jeonghan laughed. Immediately Jisoo started throwing more snacks into the basket.

“No! No way! Nuh uh!” Soo Min scolded Jisoo as Jeonghan brought his palm to his forehead at his friend’s actions.

“But I thought you liked these?!” Jisoo held up a box of Choco Pies. She continued to give that scolding look while grabbing the box from him and dropped it back into the cart. She kept her eyes on him as she backed up to the shelf where he got it from and proceeded to shove every box into the cart.

“Still going to pay?” Jisoo laughed at Jeonghan’s pale face.

“Time for check out!” Soo Min sung, pushing the cart away.

In all seriousness, they put everything but a few items back and headed to the meat section, now serious about the shopping.

Soo Min picked out a few things while remembering not to get too much, she at least got her admirer to let her pay for some of the groceries.

The whole time, she felt nervous being around Jeonghan and was glad Jisoo was there to prevent the guy from making any bold moves while they were there since he seemed the type that wouldn’t flirt too much in front of his friends.

“Put it back.” There was a sudden familiar voice as Soo Min looked to her left. She could see the back profile of a tall woman. She had a list in one hand while she was pointing to the meat shelf, her tone was a scolding one.

“C’mon, Seo, another one won’t hurt.” What appeared to be her boyfriend said with a happy smile on his face.

“We’ll go over budget!”

“Ah, is that Soo Min I see over there?” He noticed and waved over to them. “Soo!” He greeted. His girlfriend turned around with an irritated expression before landing eyes on Soo Min.

“Soo Min!” She exclaimed, rushing over to give the girl a spine breaking hug. “It’s been forever! When did you get back?! Ah… who are these two? Are they harassing you? Yah! You two better not be giving her trouble!” Sun Hee warned both Jisoo and Jeonghan who stepped back in surprise.

“They’re not doing anything!” Soo Min quickly defended. “They’re my friends. We were just shopping.”

“Is that so?” Sun Hee crossed her arms, looking at the two. “Ah, wait, you’re familiar. Jisoo, right?”

“Yeah…” Jisoo nodded. She had forgotten him?

“It’s been so long, my mind is already going.” Sun Hee sighed, pinching the bridge of her nose before looking at Jeonghan again. “Baekho… doesn’t this kid kinda look like Ren?”

At the mentioned name, Soo Min’s expression changed.

“Oh yeah, he kinda does! I didn’t know he had a doppelganger?!”

“Sorry, but I am in no way his doppelganger.” Jeonghan smiled. “I am me. I am Jeonghan.”

Jisoo and Soo Min looked at him curious on why he was saying that.

“I don’t look like him, he looks like me.” He added.

“Ahh, I see.” Baekho nodded. “Our mistake!”

“I was born first.”

“What?” Everyone asked, wondering how this guy even would know that. He didn’t know Ren… did he?

“By the way, you’re his friends, right?” Jeonghan reached into his pocket. “He forgot this at the restaurant last night. I couldn’t find a contact number.” He handed over Ren’s wallet to Baekho.

So that’s how he knew.

He was going to give it to Soo Min to give to her sister since the owner was her boyfriend after all, but after the younger sister confided in telling him about her crush on Ren, that didn't seem like it was such a great idea in the end. He was just lucky he ran into a pair of Ren's friends today. Problem solved.

“Ah, that clutz! I’ll be sure to return it to him. Thanks!”  Baekho accepted Ren's wallet with a kind smile.

After a few more words were exchanged between Sun Hee and Soo Min, the couple left after thanking Jeonghan for returning Ren’s wallet once more.

“You’re older than Ren?” Soo Min looked up at him curious.

“By one month.” He smiled holding up his index finger. “October, 1995.”

“Wow, cutting it close.” Jisoo joked.

“Speaking of cutting it close… shouldn’t you be going now? Don’t you have work in a few hours.” She mentioned, giving a worried look towards Jeonghan.

“Yeah, in a few hours. Plenty of time!” He grinned.

“Did you eat yet?” Jisoo asked him. Already Soo Min knew what he was about to do. “Soo Min offered to cook, why don’t you come over?”

“I’d love to!”

“Yah, wake up already, you lazy child!” Soo Min nudged Hansol awake. “Breakfast will be ready soon!”

“Breakfast?” The boy mumbled rather confused.

“Breakfast doesn’t exist here either?!” She asked shocked. She hadn’t noticed they didn’t eat breakfast yesterday since they were still sleeping when she left to start her day thinking at least Jisoo would wake up and feed his roommates. She was clearly wrong.

“Save me some, then.” Hansol mumbled again, in the sacred 'half asleep' language, turning away from her while yawning.

“You won’t eat it while it’s hot?” She frowned. He was already asleep again.

She sighed and turned to wake up Minghao, but couldn’t bring herself to wake up the adorable sleeping boy. “Ah, sweet child. I hope you are having pleasant dreams.” She cooed softly. She was joking with the mother role a bit too much by now but she found it fun! She was only kidding! So there was no harm, but tons of laughter between her and Jisoo who actually plays along, getting a kick out of it as well.

Jisoo and Jeonghan were chatting on the couch when she exited Hansol’s room with a frown.

“What is it?” Jisoo asked.

“The kids aren’t waking up… or well the lazy one won’t wake up and the sweet one… I just couldn’t disturb his slumber, it’d be cruel if he’s skipping in a field of cotton candy and I wake him up!” If she could make a cute anime face, she would.

The two laughed at her ‘kawaii’ face she was making.

“I’ll wake them up.” Jeonghan got up from his seat.

“Are you sure we should?” She watched him walk over.

“We shouldn’t let them miss out on your delicious cooking!”

“You haven’t even tried it yet!” Jisoo chuckled, following close behind.

“I just know it’s delicious.” Jeonghan grinned before opening Hansol’s door.

Soo Min blushed at his compliment despite he hadn’t even tried her cooking yet!

The three entered the room, Jisoo and Soo Min staying at the entrance as Jeonghan approached Minghao first. He sat on the edge and reached over to gently nudge the sleeping boy awake. “Minghao…” He said softly. “Time to wake up.”

Soo Min brought a hand to , an uncontrollable smile hiding behind it. This was just too cute! She didn’t know what was with her and adoring moments like these between guys lately.

Minghao’s eyes fluttered open and he smiled seeing Jeonghan’s cheery face. “What are you doing here, hyung?”

“Soo Min is making breakfast, I just had to come and try her cooking.” He answered. “Hurry and wash up, it should be ready soon.”

“Okay!” Minghao got up and headed out of the room, greeting his roommates before leaving of course.

“You’re going to make a great dad one day.” Jisoo cooed over to his friend.

“Thanks!” Jeonghan smiled before heading over to Hansol’s bed. He stood there for a moment or two, staring down at the bundle of blankets. Jisoo and Soo Min wondered how he was going to wake this one up.

The covers were ripped off.

“Rise and shine, beautiful!” Jeonghan shouted.

Both Jisoo and Soo Min couldn’t hold in their laughter as Hansol sat up quickly, startled by the shouting. “What the heck?!”

Just then Minghao returned from the bathroom and sat on his bed, checking his phone.

“Go wash up, breakfast is almost ready.” Jeonghan only smiled down at the kid.

“Aish… seriously?” Hansol mumbled, getting up. When he met Jisoo and Soo Min at the door, he pouted as they were holding in their laughter.

“Cheer up, son.” Jisoo teased.

“Momma will serve you extra rice at the table if you’re a good boy.” Soo Min added, ruffling his messy hair..

Hansol pulled away, letting out a complaining sigh as he left the room. The two laughed together as Jeonghan looked at them confused. Did he heard that right? Son? Momma?

“Speaking of rice!” Suddenly she ran out of the room.

Once Jisoo stopped laughing, he turned his attention to Jeonghan who was still standing next to Hansol’s bed. He was staring at him.

“What is it?” He asked.

“Son?” Jeonghan repeated. “Momma?”

“Oh, that! It’s just a joke that’s been going on since she started staying here.” Jisoo assured him.

“Really?”

“She likes to joke around a lot, it doesn’t mean anything, really.”

“Are you sure?” The look on Jeonghan’s face told Jisoo he was serious.

“Yes. I’m sure, Jeonghan…”

It was quiet for a few seconds before…

“Then she’s going to make a good mom one day.” Jeonghan grinned.

“Naturally.” Jisoo laughed. “Ever since she started staying here, the apartment has stayed clean, and now she’s even cooking for us.” There was a hint of dejection on his face that Jeonghan took notice.

“Why don’t you keep her here, then?” Jeonghan asked.

“What?”

“Don’t let her go to the dorms. Let her stay here?”

“As much as I would like that… it’s really up to her.” Jisoo gave a weak smile.

“I’m sure she’ll choose here over the dorms if she had a choice.”

“Most likely.”

“She’ll miss her children too much if she goes.”

“Right!” Jisoo laughed, Jeonghan joining him, he always knew what to say to bring the mood back up.

“Thank you for this food.” Everyone at the table said before digging in. Soo Min sat there nervously, waiting for their reactions. She was hoping she didn’t over season anything or worse, it being not seasoned enough.

“Mmm!” Minghao was the first to react.

“Whoa!” Then Hansol.

“Just like how I remembered.” Jisoo smiled.

“Wah, I knew it would be delicious!” Jeonghan beamed from his seat.

“Thanks.” Soo Min blushed at all the compliments.

“You should have cooked sooner! This is amazing!” Hansol exclaimed, taking a few more bites.

“The day I got here, the last ramen was eaten by Minghao.” She chuckled.

“Me?” The boy asked tilting his head in his seat next to her. She reached over petting his head while shaking her head.

“There was literally no food, you can’t make anything without food.”

“Then we’ll start buying food from now on.” Jisoo mentioned, about to take another bite before he paused.

“You’ll start?” She asked, a curious look on her face. What did he mean by that? Does he… want me to continue staying here?

“Yes.” Jeonghan spoke up. “So keep cooking!”

She was confused but smiled anyway. “Sure.”

Jisoo remained quiet for the rest of breakfast.

“I uh…” Soo Min hesitated as she came up to Jeonghan with a few containers of the food she made earlier. “I made extra for your roommates. Will you give it to them before you leave for work?”

“Really?!” He smiled about to take the food when he stopped. “How about you give it to them!”

“Me? Give it to them?”

“I have to go back to get my uniform, come with me?”

“Uh!”

“Go! Go! They have to try it!” Hansol called over from the couch. Ever since he ate earlier, he was in a better mood. As if her cooking impacted his emotions or something.

“O-Okay, then…” She smiled. She did think it would be better if she could be there to see their reactions too. “I’ll go.”

“Great!” Jeonghan turned and opened the door.

When she turned to wave a goodbye to the others, she noticed Jisoo wasn’t around.

“Where’s Jisoo?” She asked quickly.

“In my room, why?” Hansol answered.

“Ah… tell him I went with Jeonghan. I’ll be back soon.”

“Okay, mom, love you!” Hansol joked for the first time.

“Omo! I’m so happy!” She pretended to get emotional. “Bye kids! You behave now!”
