“Hey Seohyun!” Yonghwa teased Seohyun. “Nice to see you again.”

“Hi!” Donghae said while smilingly at us. “Is it okay we bought another friend?”

“Sure!” Yuri replied said smiling to the other guy.

“He’s Minho.” Donghae said gesturing towards the new guy.

“Hi. I’m Minho.” He said.

“Hi! I’m Yuri. These are my friends Seohyun and Yoona.” Yuri replied.

“Yuri?” Minho surprisingly asked. He was looking at Yuri’s eyes. “You’re the...”

“Can we eat now?” Yonghwa interrupted. “I’m getting hungry.”

Seohyun decided to go to our room after we ate. I followed her. But before I climbed the stairs, Donghae called me.

“Yoona! Yoona!” He called. “Can we talk?”

I faced him. He gestured we talk at the porch. I followed him.

“So?” I asked when we were there. “Please be quick. It’s cold here.”

He sighed. “I want to say sorry for what happened.” He answered. Why is he still apologizing?

“Why are you apologizing? Haven’t Yuri forgiven you?” I asked him.

“I know but I think it’s appropriate to ask for your forgiveness too.” He answered. “I’m sorry.”

“Friends?” he asked me again while extending his hand.

“Well…” I answered. “If you prove to be a friend, then that’s the time we would be.” I answered him. He smiled at me, I smiled back and left.

I went to our room and saw Seohyun talking to herself while unpacking her things.

“Ugh! If I have known they’ll be here, I would have stayed at home.” She complained as she folds her clothes.

“Just ignore them. Let’s enjoy this vacation.” I cheered her.

“Well. You’re right. I’ll just enjoy this since it’s our first vacation with you.” Seohyun replied. I smiled at her.

“How long are we going to stay here?” I asked her as I also unpack my things.

“I think about 3 days?” Seohyun answered.

“Come on! Let’s go ski!” Yuri exclaimed as she entered the room. “Let’s not waste our time here!”

This was my first time going to a ski resort without my family especially my brother. Whenever it’s winter break, we always go to a ski resort. My brother would always teach me but he would eventually give up.

“Do you really want to stay here?” Yuri asked me when I told them I’m staying at the café.

“Yeah. I’ll just try it tomorrow. I’m not in the mood right now.” I answered.

“I’ll just stay here with you.” Seohyun said.

“No! Go with them. I’ll be fine here.” I quickly replied.

“Why Seo? Are you afraid to fall?” Yonghwa . “I bet you just don’t know how.”

“Am not!” Seohyun exclaimed.

“Prove it!” Yonghwa again. Then she suddenly stood up. “I’ll show you!” she said then walked away. Yonghwa followed behind.

“Jong Hyun! Jong Hyun!” Yuri shouted at Jong Hyun who was already preparing. Suddenly, Minho followed her.

“Yuri-ah! Yuri-ah! Wait for me!” Minho called her. Well, that was weird. I noticed he was always following her after we arrived. What’s with him?

“Yoona. Are you just going to sit here and watch them?” Donghae asked. I faced him. I forgot he was also there.

“Huh?” I said. I didn’t notice he was left behind too.

“Are you going to sit here throughout the day?” he asked me again when he noticed I didn’t hear him.

“Ah. I’m not in the mood plus I don’t know how.” I answered.

“Reallly?? Why??” he asked me maybe he was thinking I’m lying.

“Really. My brother would always teach me before but he would always give up. He said I’m hard to be taught.” I told him.

“Want me to teach you?” he offered.

“Nah! I’ll just complain and you will also give up eventually.” I replied.

“Try me.” He said. I look at his face and he was seriously offering me help. Something about him makes me want to trust him.

“Is that a yes?” he asked again. I smiled. “Yes”

“Let’s go!” he exclaimed then we went out.

I saw the others were already there. Yonghwa was teasing Seohyun because she can’t keep up with him. Seohyun was not a pro compared to him. Yuri was following Jong Hyun while Minho keeps on calling her.

“Ready?” he asked me. “I’ll teach you.

“Okay.” I smiled at him. Then he was teaching me the basics; how to break, how to turn, how to speed up. He was awkward positioning my body for a better angle because it requires him to touch my waist or shoulders. I laugh whenever he was like that.

“I told you. I’m a slow learner at this.” I said when I failed to turn. “Aren’t you giving up yet?”

“I’m not going to give up.” He replied then taught me again. After several minutes, I have grasp the basics.

“Are you ready to try it?” he asked me when we were in a more difficult slope.

“I think so.” I nervously replied. I looked at the slope and there were trees and stones I have to avoid. But I think I can do it, he taught me well.

“Are you sure?” he asked me again when he felt I was nervous.

“Yep.” I answered.

“Okay. I’ll stay close just in case.” He replied then he signaled to go. I leaped then I was doing pretty well. I have avoided some trees and stones and I learned to move right and left. I can feel the wind brushing through my face. I was enjoying this; I never knew this is so much fun. I tried to look back, search for him but I failed. Then I remembered he told me not to look back and lose focus or else I might bump into something or lose my balance. I was half way through the slop when someone went pass me. He looked back and I noticed he looks like my brother.

“Oppa?” I asked trying to make sure it was him. He looked back again and smiled at me.

“Oppa! Oppa!” I shout at him. I called his name but he was going farther away from me. I sped up trying to chase him. I shouted his name.

“Oppa! Oppa! Wait for me!” I called for him. I am crying now. Why is he running away? Suddenly I heard someone call my name.

“Yoona! Yoona! Wait for me! Slow down! You’re going to fast!” Donghae screamed.

I looked back and then all of a sudden I hit something hard. I was knocked to the ground. My head was hurting. I touched it and then there was blood. The last thing I saw before I became unconscious was Donghae shouting my name.
