Troubling Thoughts

Junghan rested his arm onto the table as he let his chin rest on his arm. He tapped hi foot slowly and took a breath in as he sat there in deep though.

As a concerned friend, Jisoo glanced over at the troubled boy who always seemed to be quite content with his life. He slowly approached the boy as he set the broom aside.

Just as Jisoo was about to open his mouth, Junghan groaned in frustration as he buried his face in his arm. “Um, you okay there Junghan?” Jisoo asked as he pulled out a chair next to Junghan.

There were a few seconds of silence before Junghan finally raised his head. He sat back in his seat and glanced over at his friend. “How do you say that you like someone without messing it up and being all clumsy and such?”

Jisoo smirked over at the boy before countering the question. “And who is this ‘person’ you like?” Junghan’s cheeks flushed to a bright shade of pink. “I-I’m  just trying to help my friend,” Junghan tried to speak in as much as a normal voice as he could. However ti came out as mumbled words with a few stammering.

"Okay, so this friend, what does he think about this person that he likes? Jisoo played along to prevent Junghan from being anymore flustered. Junghan’s lips curled into a gentle smile as he explained.

"Well she’s a sweet girl, very kind towards others too." Soon enough, without even noticing, Junghan was rambling on about this loveable person. Unconsciously, his gentle, small smile formed into a grin; a big one, from ear to ear.

Jisoo noticed this and a little smirk played upon his lips. “Ah, it seems like you also have similar thoughts on your friend’s crush,” Jisoo commented. He pointed his finger towards Junghan’s huge grin and quite pink cheeks.

"Uhh, well she seems like m-my ideal type. Right? A kind, sweet and caring girl," Junghan said dreamily. "It certainly does, can you tell me more about this, girl?" Jisoo asked. Junghan slightly nodded his head.

"Well, she’s always helpful towards others and her smile is very radiant," Junghan said. He rambled on a bit more of every intricate detail of the girl’s features. Jisoo couldn’t help but let a huge smirk appear on his face. "So it seems she’s a very brilliant girl indeed, how come your ‘friend’ has trouble asking her out?" Jisoo asked.

"O-Oh um, well he’s quite clumsy around here," Junghan said. "And well, also, she’s, a sister of one of the members." He mumbled the last part and tried to hide it but it was no use with Jisoo’s sharp listening skills.

There was a moment of silence. Jisoo crossed his legs and tapped his finger as he thought about this girl. That is, until the thought hit him. “Ah, well I think the member would be totally okay with it,” he said. Junghan had only raised his brows towards Jisoo.

"Well, I have a sister too right?" Jisoo started. "I wouldn’t mind her dating anymore unless the boy was kind, honest and caring towards her. I guess someone with a similar personality to one of the members in the group."

"A-and which member would t-that be?" Junghan stuttered. Jisoo couldn’t help but let out a laugh. He stood up from the chair and patted Junghan on the back. "Just go ask my sister out. I won’t mind," Jisoo said which left Junghan quite perplexed and amazed.

"B-but t-this is m-my friend we’re talking about!" Junghan said. "Okay, sorry. I meant just go tell your ‘friend’ to go and confess to this member’s sister," Jisoo said.

Junghan gulped and stared at Jisoo. “Y-You sure you’re okay with this?” Jisoo nodded as he took the broom and continued to sweep up the practice room. “As a matter of fact, she should be in the lobby,” Jisoo said. “All by herself.” He sung the last part and a small smirk formed on his face as he heard a door slam behind him.

"Don’t mess this one up Junghan," Jisoo thought as he finished up his cleaning duty in the practice room.

Junghan zoomed past all the members as he went towards the lobby. Of course, he was quite confused of what’s gotten into him as there was a sudden confident boost struck him.

As he hit the lobby, Junghan looked from left to right and soon enough, spotted her sitting by herself at a table. She was quietly reading as she drank some coffee.

Nervously, Junghan gulped and took a deep breath in as he approached the table. “Uh, annyeong ________,” Junghan greeted with a small wave. He saw her eyes flicker up towards Junghan and a smile formed on her face.

"Hi Junghan!" She greeted him happily. Junghan smiled back as he took a seat in front of her. "What’s up?" she asked as she placed her book to the side. "Oh n-nothing," Junghan said as he averted his eyes towards the suddenly interesting red carpet.

"Is something bothering you?" She asked him and Junghan shifted in his seat. An awkward silence fell between them until Junghan spoke up. "Hey, can I ask you a question?"

"Sure! Go on ahead," she said. Junghan inhaled a sharp breath before lifting his head to meet her beautiful eyes. "I-I’m not so sure of how you may feel about this but, I like you ________, and I was wondering if you would like to go out sometime?" Junghan said quickly, a little too quickly.

________ giggled and nodded her head. “I’m not quite sure what you just said but if you were asking me on a date, I would love to,” she said. Both of them blushed as they smiled each other. A lovely atmosphere was set up as the two remained silent, just staring at each other.

"If you’re going to be all lovey dovey to each other, then do it when I’m not there!" Junghan turned his head to see Jisoo shaking his head at the two. "Oppa! Don’t be so mean because you don’t have someone you like!" ________ said.

"It’s only been like what, a minute yet you two seem like you’re ready to wed each other," Jisoo said as he took a seat next to them. For a while, the three chatted with each other before getting up to leave.

Shyly, Junghan held onto _______’s hand as Jisoo walked behind them. He shook his head at the sight of their entwined hands. “Now, if we ever hang out again, don’t make a third wheel!” Jisoo shouted as the couple laughed.

Junghan smiled contently as his mind was finally free of those troublesome thoughts. That is until, the night before the first date approaches.
