A 12 years old girl wandered around on a cold and thick snow. Crystal-like tears rushed down from her eyes as she searched for somebody that she held dearly.

“Umma!” She called, looking around for the person.

“Appa!!” She cried, only to receive a cold breeze brushing past her as a response.

“Umma, appa! Where are you?! Don’t leave me!” She tried running as fast as her delicate body could.

Running aimlessly to find her beloved ones, she fell hard on the icy ground. Her tears couldn’t stop streaming down. Her nose had gone red from the cold temperature.

“Umma, appa-” She stopped halfway from her sentences when she saw a figure lying helplessly on the snow.

That was when she realized it was her mother.

“Umma!” She dashed over to her mother. “Wake up, please!” She shook her mother.

Instantly, her eyes popped open to see her daughter breaking down into a heartbreaking bawl.

Her mother couldn’t do anything in that kind of state. All she could do was to caress her daughter’s pale yet perfect face, “Please stop crying, ~~~~~. Mommy hates to see you cry like this…”

The girl looked at her feeble mother, “Umma, where’s daddy?”

Her mother froze with those simple words. She shook her head gently, “I…don’t know…”

“H-how come you don’t know? Mommy? Where’s daddy?! Tell me-”

“Shh…~~~~~, please listen to me.” She cupped the little girl’s face, “No matter what, mommy will always loves you, my gorgeous daughter.”

“Why are you saying this, mommy?! D-don’t tell me…you’re leaving me?” Her body started trembling.

Her mother stayed silent and smiled gently with her eyes closed, leaving a few meaningful words, “Mommy always loves you, ~~~~~.”

With that, her mother’s body became heavy. Not realizing what just happened, the girl shook her mother’s lifeless body, “Umma?”

Hot tears spilled down her cheeks as she shook her mother harder this time, “Mommy, don’t leave me. I-I won’t forgive you i-if you leave me!”

She shook her mother’s inanimate body as she began bawling louder and louder until she felt her tiny hands covered with wet liquids.

As a reflex, she quickly withdrew her hand back to her to see a bloody red liquid covering her hands.

“No…no, mommy…no!” She clutched onto her mother’s blood-stained clothes, shaking in fear. “Who did this to you?!” She screamed.

But hearing a response from someone who already died was obviously impossible.

She cried more and more as the snow around them turned red because of the blood that didn’t stop coming out from the little girl’s mother’s body.

“Mommy!!!” You shot up from the bed, waking up from the terrifying nightmare you just had.

The door instantly slid open, showing a panic Hyo Won. She ran to you in panic, “What’s wrong?!”

You dabbed the cold sweats from your forehead away as you shook your head frantically, still trembling in fear, “N-nothing…I’m fine.”

Your uneven breathe worried Hyo Won more even though you already convinced her that you were fine.

“Don’t lie to me, Han ~~~~~.” She said in a serious tone. You sighed and covered your face miserably, “Hyo Won-ah, I…had that dream again.”

She heaved a deep sigh and sympathetically glanced at you, “Come here. I know you need this.”

She stretched out her arms. You knew what that meant.

You went into her tight yet comforting hug. You closed your eyes, trying hard to forget all of those nightmares. For you, Hyo Won’s hug was always capable enough to calm you down.

Her warm hug never failed to comfort you whenever you felt sad.

“I’ll be here with you, ~~~~~. I’ll shoot those bad nightmares if I can.”

“Thank you, Hyo Won-ah.” You remained still in her arms. Realizing the white surrounding, you pulled back from the hug, “Where are we?”

“Oh! That’s right! We are in the school infirmary. Didn’t you remember?” Hyo Won tilted her head to the side.

You shook your head, “What happened?”

Her face suddenly scrunched up, “You didn’t remember even though you are in this condition?” She pointed her finger at you.

Both of your hands immediately traveled around your bandaged face. *How did it happen?*

Hyo Won somehow knew what you were thinking, “Didn’t you remember those stupid queenkas beat the crap out of you?”

Spontaneously, everything registered into your mind. Hyo Won peered at you, “Do you remember now?”

You reluctantly nodded. She sighed as she shook her head, “Well, never mind then. A past is just a past”

For the second time, you looked up at Hyo Won, “Hyo Won-ah…were you the one who brought me here?”

She frantically shook her head, “No! But I thanked the person who brought you here!”

“So, who was it then?” You pressed both of your thumbs together. You were dying to find the person that was willing to save your life.

Hope was burning inside of you but quickly disappeared in a split second right after receiving a no from Hyo Won.

She patted your back for comfort, “Don’t worry. You’ll find out sooner or later.” You smiled gratefully for her encouragement.

“Come on. Let’s go home. You need some rest. Does it hurt?” She pointed at a few red cuts on your face. You shook your head.

She sighed in relief and patted your back. “I swear I’m gonna teach them a lesson tomorrow, those stupid s.” She whispered to herself.

Hand in hand, the two of you walked down the streets back to your home.
