You were lying on a soft yet familiar place. Your eyes slowly started to open up.

Instantly, you sat up and looked around. In front of you was a fireplace which was resting just a few inches away from you. At the corner was an armchair coated with a scarlet red fabric.

The place seemed…familiar to you. You were thinking deep in your mind until a ring alarmed you in your head. *It’s my room!*

You hit your head mentally. *Why can’t I even recognize my own room?!*

The door suddenly accessed open. Hyo Won was standing beside the doorframe. An unpleasant look was plastered on her face.

You mused at her as she came over, “Did you remember what happened last night?”

You gingerly shook your head. “What were you thinking?! If I hadn’t gone to find you, you would have died from freezing outside!” She snapped.

You flinched by her sudden outburst and didn’t bother to speak up. “Are you listening?!” She glared at you.

You frantically nodded and mustered up a lot of courage just to say one simple word, “Sorry.”

Just by that magic word, she promptly softened. “Sorry…” You lowered your head down. You heard a soft sigh escaped from Hyo Won’s lips.

“I can’t stay mad at you for even just one minute. You made me feel guilty.” She pouted in irritation.

You forced a smile. In a split second, her pout immediately turned into a wide grin and the grin disappeared in a split second as she explained the incident, “For your information, I found you lying on the cold and icy white snow. What were you doing?”

You gave out a little shrug, “I…don’t really know.” Your clueless face made her giggle, “Aigoo~ It can’t be helped then. A past is just a past. But next time, if I find you in the same incident like yesterday, I’ll skin you alive.”

You instantly shrank. She laughed.

The grandfather clock let out a ‘ding’ sound as Hyo Won turned to the source of the sound which was outside at the lounge room.

“Alright then. It’s afternoon already so I’m gonna cook lunch. See ya~” She twisted the doorknob and slammed the door gently.  

You quickly shot up from your bed and looked out at the window. The place was coated in white. You sighed, *I guess it’s just a dream.*

You climbed up to your bed and hugged a pillow. *Besides, how can a guy possibly stand the cold weather…?*

Your body soon leaned against the fluffy mattress.

“~~~~~! Come out here!” You heard Hyo Won chirped happily. You got up and brushed your hair with a comb before going out.

You paused, “W-what? S-school?” “Yep!” Hyo Won chimed.

You sighed again but this time, the sigh got heavier. She raised her eyebrow, “What’s wrong? Don’t tell me you hate scho—”

“No. That’s not it.” You sternly replied as you set down the fork.

“So?” She pouted. “It’s just that…I don’t feel like going to school.” *Because the students there kept on bullying me for being an orphan.*

“Whattt?” She whined, “No! You must go to school tomorrow! I don’t care about anything! Just go to school!”

“But-”

“No buts!” She warned as she stood up and picked up all the plates including yours.

Your face turned into a slight frown as you got up and went to your room. *Why do I have to go to school?*

However, your worries about the school problem weren’t as big as the ‘dream’ you had last night.

After spending another 20 minutes of thinking deeply, you grew tired and flopped onto the bed as your eyes automatically droop down.

Was it just a dream?

Or was it more than just a dream?
