Speechless Zico was staring at unconscious you that were wrapped with his secure arms. He slowly looked up, at the man smirking upon him. Too much things were playing in his head. Mother, you said? His father murdered your mother? Was he still in the reality or it had already turned into a dream?

“Whaa—what does she mean? Y-you killed her mother? What the hell?!” He cursed, shooting his father a look that read disbelief. “Calm down, Woo Jiho. You’ll eventually know after this.” Sang Min interrupted, leering. “What do you mean calm down?! Don’t mess with me, you bastard!” Zico fumed, his blood was practically boiling this time.

“You have some temper there, Jiho. Just like me.” His father darkly smirked. “Don’t compare me with you, ing bastard,” Zico replied with a deadly piercing glower, “Now spill all your secrets! Why didn’t I know about these?” The place fell into a dead silence until the sound of Zico’s breathe could be heard. Finally, he opened his mouth to speak, “That girl in front of me is the daughter of Han Seo Yoon, the woman who I fell in love with.”

Again, Zico was loss at words. He couldn’t seem to find the right words to say so all he did was stay silent and put on perplexed face. “We fell in love with each other the first time we met…just like you two.” He continued with a straight face on. Sang Min stayed quiet the entire time, hiding his face in the dark surrounding.

“Of course, it was a forbidden love between an immortal and a human. We couldn’t possibly do that or death will come after her. And in the end…I decided to let her go.” As time passed by, his voice slowly became softer and melancholic. “But it didn’t turn out that great after I freed her. It hurt to see her walk away with another man,” He added with a bitter expression, “And so, I chose to kill her when I heard that she got a child. And now whenever I look at that girl’s face, it reminds me of her, my first love. I brought her here to make her suffer and soon kill her.” He remarked with a proud tone of voice but actually failed. Underneath those brutal actions and cruel words, he was actually a man who had been suffering for a thousand years.

A hint of sorrowful tone could be sensed underneath that drastic voice of his. 

“And now…I want you to do the same. Leave her and don’t come near her anymore, Jiho. She’ll suffer because of your selfishness.” He warned, eventually putting on a cold face. “No.” He replied, unfazed at all. “Don’t be stubborn. Or else I’m going to kill that mortal.” He glanced your way. “I already told you. I won’t leave her ever again.” Zico swore confidently. “Why are you like this, Woo Jiho?” His voice rose a bit.

“Why you say? Because I’m madly in love with her.” He responded with an earnest confession. “You’ll let her go if you love her. Just like I did—” “You were being a coward back then. You were just running away from your problems. If you love her, you’d stay by her side forever even if death comes after her.” Zico cut his father in the middle of his sentences. A heavy sigh escaped his lips, “Very well then. I’ve no other choice but to separate you two with force.” He snapped his fingers, signaling for something to happen.

Zico looked at a shadow that was standing near his father in the darkness. Slothfully, the figure stepped forward, showing half of his face. Once he exposed his face, Zico’s eyes turned as wide as saucers. Standing upon him was a gorgeous young man with a pair of well-shaped eyebrows. His flawless face sparkled in the midst of the dimmed surrounding. His expressionless face made him look colder than he already was.

It felt as if Zico’s spirit had been out from his body when he saw the guy. The guy who he used to look up to.

“Tae Woon hyung.”
