Act 07 - Marriage proposal

Walking away, Mr.Horvejkul ask the secretary to hand him the paper work.

He was curious what it was.

The scretary handed him the paperwork.

"Here you go Mr.President."

He took a glance at it, widening his eyes.

He turn back to see if the young lady was any where in sight.

He looks around, surprise to see that she was still here, exiting the

building.

"Young lady!" Mr.Horvejkul call out.

Victoria walk away feeling down. They didn't even look at it or thank her.

Hmph. Rude people she thought.

Walking away, she heard a faint yell.

"Young lady!"

Curious, she turn around to see Mr.Horvejkul running to her.

She was surprise. Did he see the documents?

Mr.Horvejkul stop in front of her, trying to catch some air.

"Young lady.." he say breathlessly.

"Y-yes?" she answer her.

"Let's go talk."

She follow him into his car. She didn't know where he was taking her.

"Nickhun, look." Sherleen say.

Nickhun took a look at what Sherleen pointed.

"It's pretty, isn't it?"

It was pretty. The necklace that Sherleen pointed to was shiningly beautiful.

"If only I had a sister in law.." she whistles.

"Sherleen." Nickhun warn her.

She laughs.

"Let's go." Nickhun say.

Sherleen follow him into the restaurant.

Victoria sat across from him, nervous and shaking. She didn't know what to say or do. She was sitting in front of a rich guy. She didn't want to offend him or anything. This is so hard for her.

"I just wanted to thank you for handing me those important documents."

"Yo-your welcome."

He sip on his tea before continuing his talk.

"Say, are you marry?" he ask her.

"Nn-no. Why?"

"Really? That's a relief."

She was confuse. What does he want from her this time?

"You see, I have a son who's a workaholic. I'm trying to find him a wife."

"Oh."

"I know this is a sudden question but would you be willing to be his wife?"

Victoria spit back out the tea she was about to swallow.

"Eh?"

"I'm sorry to scare you."

She wasn't scared. She was shock. What did he just say?!

"I'm sorry but I'm not capable."

He laughs.

"I'm not looking for a daughter in law who's rich. I want a decent daughter in law who's not rich."

"Eh?"

He continues laughing.

"Say, you're not Korean are you?"

"No. I'm Chinese. Why?"

"Really? Where are your parents?"

"Back at home. Why?"

"Do they own a restaurant or any business like?"

"Th-they own a small business. Why are you asking?"

"Are they in financial help?"

"Y-yes. Why do you ask?"

She sat still, waiting for him to answer her question.

"What if I say I would help your parents with their financial need, would you be willing to be my daughter in law?"
