Act 16 - Announcement

"Can I get your attention Ladies and Gentlemen." Mr. Horvejkul spoke into the mic.

Everyone turn their attention to Mr. Horvejkul who was now talking on the stand.

"I'm glad to have you here to celebrate our 30 year Hotel Anniversary."

People started to clap their hands.

Throughout the whole entire talk, Nichkhun never look anywhere else but to stare at Victoria.

Now he's starting to regret all his rude comments about her. Wait, he shouldn't lose to her. Not yet.

He finally stop glaring at her when he felt someone softly tug at him.

He turn to his side to see Sherleen motioning him to go to the front.

Nichkhun did his small speech. Everyone clap their hands at the hardwork that he's put forth in.

"My last announcement for the night. My son Nichkhun is going to be marry at the end of this month. I hope you all can come to his wedding."

Half of them were chattering among themselves about this news.

Mr. Horvejkul smile.

"May I welcome my future in law Victoria Song up to the stand."

Victoria was at the back when she heard her name being mention. She turn to look at Sherleen and Krystal.

"Go on Unni." Sherleen smile.

Victoria was nervous. She slowly made her entrance up to the stage.

Most of the adults clap their hands. The younger adults were surprise.

"I'm sure most  of you met my future daughter in law earlier."

Victoria bow in respect to all the crowds.

They clap their hands once more in joy.

After the announcement, people went back to their own chattering.

"What?" Victoria look at a handsome Nichkhun.

"Hold my arm."

"Why?"

"Are you dumb or what? Just do as I say." Nichkhun mutter.

Victoria hesitated before holding onto his arm.

He guided her back down to meet more people.

"Oh my gosh! I can't believe you're going to marry!" one of his worker say out loud.

Victoria smile.

"Me neither." was all Nichkhun could say.

"You're so lucky to have her. If only I met her before you.." Woo Young joke.

Nichkhun flash him a deadly glare. Woo Young cover his mouth.

Victoria softly laugh to herself.

It was fun to meet new people but also exhausted. Her feet was starting to hurt her.

Nichkhun had a call so he left her.

"Aren't you a lucky lady?" Sherleen say as she bump Victoria.

"Don't show people that face. It's not polite." Krystal reminded Victoria.

"I know.. I'm just tired.."

"Don't worry, I'll have my brother send you home when he return." Sherleen assure Victoria.

"Thanks."

She met some more people who came late to the party.

All of them complimented how she look gorgeous tonight.

Some were envy of her that she's marrying to a handsome guy like Nichkhun. She only smile at them.

They haven't met his bad side yet. If they did, they wouldn't say all those nice comments about him.

Of course, his workers were the only one who agree with Victoria, especially Woo Young.

"Good luck." was all Woo Young could say to Victoria.

Victoria knew that her life is going to change once she's married to him.

How fun can that be?

"Sorry it took so long." Nichkhun came back.

"It's okay."

"Are you ready to leave? You must be tired."

"Sort of."

"I'll take you home."

"It's okay, I can take the taxi with Krystal." Victoria started to say.

"If I don't take you, it's going to ruin my good image."

Victoria couldn't agree to that. She lost to him.

"Stay here while I go grab my jacket."

Victoria waited for Nichkhun in the lobby area.

This hotel sure is big. No wonder he's so full of himself.

Through out the ride, they both stayed quiet. The only thing you can hear was car going past them. The sound of car movement.

"Thank you for sending me home." Victoria bow.

"Good night." he say before speeding off.

Victoria took her heels off walking barefoot into her apartment.

She lay on her back resting her feet. Today was a long day for her.

Nichkhun threw his jacket on the bed.

A smile form on his lip as he thought of her.

He's lucky to marry her. It's been a long time since he's found a beautiful girl like her.

Maybe he should be a little nicer to her...

I was about to put in one of the rivals in this chapter but decided to save it for another time. ^^
