"HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!" Elayna smiled as her two girl friends and one guy friend sang the birthday song to her in unison loud enough for the whole neighbourhood to hear. "Make a wish!" her friend Kang Jihye said 

"and blow out the candle!" her only guy friend, Kim Joo Hoon cut in. Elayna smiled and blew out the candles. The light were as she see her  three friends, scratch that best friends smiling as her tears starts to appear in the rims of her eyelids. 

"Thank you!" she sobbed choking back the tears. She then saw Juniel came over and wiped tears from her eyes with her handkerchief. "Don't cry! Today is your birthday! You should be happy" she said with a wide smile. Elayna then felt Joo Hoon and Jihye hugging her tightly. It was a quiet moment as they shared a special hug for a very special birthday girl. 

When she got home Elayna received a kiss and a present from her father as she look up at him smiling. She ripped it open and saw a ring that she always see her father worn before.

"Dad...this is.." she said before her dad cut her "It is yours now...keep it safely" he said and she smiled at him hugging her dad tightly. "Thanks dad!" He smiled "most welcome Elayna.." he then picked up something from the floor and gave it to her "Here Elayna..." she was shocked. "this is from your mom. She told me give it to you once you turned 18." 

"What is it?" she held the box in her hand examining it curiously. "Just open it and you will know" he said standing up leaving his daughter confused with her present. 

She brought her presents to her room lying down on the bed facing the window as she turned her head and looked at the two presents. One unwrapped another still wrapped. 

She grabbed it and ripped the nicely wrapped gift and was astonished to see a wooden box. She opened it and it glowed a slight tint of blue and saw a symbol that she felt oddly familiar but she couldn't put a finger on where she has seen it before

She took it out and saw a letter as she unfold the paper and saw the neat handwriting. "Eomma" she thought as she read the letter. 

Elayna,

If you are reading this meaning you are already at the suitable age. I know this is sudden but I want you to prepare yourself as there will be a lot of adventures for you in the future. I can't predict the future but I know you will be alright. Keep the necklace and it will lead you to what the future holds for you. Do not hesitate to ask help from the guardians. You will find out soon enough who they are. Do not be afraid, I know you will make me and your father proud! Good luck Elayna. I love you.

"really mum.....what is this?! I don't get it at all" she said throwing the letter back in the box as she laid back on the bed. The necklace started to glow and she saw the symbol again and she saw other symbols as well. Unknowingly her eyes widen as she saw the symbols that she has seen right before her eyes were familiar to her going around in circles

"What's going on? Aren't those the same symbols of my uncles?" she thought as she saw one symbol and grabbed her dad's ring and looked closely. It took her a few minutes before her eyes widen once again and she let out a loud gasp. She fell on the bed, as she fainted not knowing what will happen next that leads her to a whole new adventure.
