(A/N: The start might be a bit confusing, but it'll all be explained near the end. ^^)

Chapter 30: The Real Story

You were walking through the halls of your school at 5:00pm. It was long past the end of school, but you were helping out there to let the time pass. After all, no one would be home until after midnight.

After finishing helping the teachers with their classrooms, you decided to go home.

You suddenly stopped walking, "Where are my reading glasses?" You looked inside your bag, checking through all the pockets, but you were left still wondering where they were. You furrowed your eyebrows in thought and made faces, a habit of yours when you tried to remember something. You straightened as soon as a possibillty came to mind, "I couldn't of possibly…" You trailed off before you exhaled loudly and spun on your heels to head to the other direction.

You went to a part of the school where the classrooms weren't used that often. It was right at the back of the building, furthest away from the entrance, but it still looked pretty much the same as the rest of the school; full of graffiti on the lockers and doors, paint coming off, rubbish everywhere and at least one light flickering in the halls. But there was one thing that was different. At the last hallway, right at the last room, there was a place where made you wonder why the rest of the school looked like that. The walls were pearly white, the floor a shade of dark grey without a speck of dirt, and the shelves, not a sight of dust seen. There were a variety of unused instruments neatly placed around the room, all sparkling under the white light, as a soft scent filled the room. You were, yet again, breathless at the sight on it. No matter how many times you had been here, you still couldn’t get over it's peaceful beauty. Smiling to yourself, you suddenly got reminded that you were here to get something. Walking over to a hidden door at the back of the room, you open it, but stop as soon as you heard an angel-like voice accompanying the soft notes of the piano. The walls of the room were sound-proof, so you didn’t wonder why you hadn't of heard of it before. You opened the door, slowly and carefully, to see a dark haired boy, his fingers gracefully moving from key to key, in sync with his voice.

You immediately clapped as soon as the last key was hit and he fell from his seat in surprise.

"Omo." he gasped as he landed on the floor. You scurried next to him and held out a hand to help him up but all he did was glare and stand up by himself. You awkwardly took your hand back, "Er...Sorry. I didn’t mean to eavesdrop on you singi-" "I wasn’t singing." he coldly cut you off. You smiled and hummed the tune of the song.

"You have a good voice," you ignored his last sentence as you sat in front of the piano.

"I said I wasn’t singing." he firmly said as he grabbed his bag, ready to head out the door.

"Machi amugeotdo moreuneun airo geureoke. Dashi taeeonan sungan gachi," you sang, playing the exact notes of the song off by heart. He stopped in his tracks, amazed by your voice and the way your fingers played the correct notes by ear. As if hypnotised, he started smiling as he listen and his heart couldn’t help but flutter.

"It's a good song." He heard you say, after the keys stopped playing.

"You made it?" you asked.

He spun around, "How'd you know?" His eyes immediately widened when he saw what you were looking at. Dashing towards it, he grabbed the book and stuffed it into his bag. That might be the reason why she knew how to play it…. He thought, taking back all the things he thought about you.

"Don’t worry. I didn’t look inside it." you assured him, "But you're talented if you wrote that song."

He raised an eyebrow, "And you're not after you just randomly played it just then?"

"Is that a compliment?" you asked, teasingly.

He straightened, realizing the way he just acted, "No."

You made a face, "Stop using your poker-face and just act normally."

He blinked as you just saw right through him but recomposed himself, "I am acting normally."

"Sure~" you sarcastically said. He looked at you, "What's that supposed to mean?'

"Nothing." you blinked oh, so innocently at him.

"Tch. Weirdo." he muttered loudly.

"Tch. Cold." you used the same tone and volume he did.

He rolled his eyes at your childishness, but he couldn’t help but smile a bit.

"Woah." you gasped, "You look good when you smile."

He looked at you, shocked but froze when he saw you looking at him with a slight eye smile.

"Smile more. You look like you're actually comfortable." you told him as you stood up.

"Comfortable?" he asked.

You nodded, "I know that cold attitude of yours isn't the real you. Don’t know why you use it, but I'm not going to ask."

He just stared at you as you moved to the corner of the room to grab your reading glasses that you left behind.

"Anyway, I'll get going now. Um...See you around?"

He snorted, "No."

You chuckled, "Can I at least get your name then? I'm Hyun Jae."

He didn’t respond and you nodded in understanding, heading to the door.

You opened it and stepped out.

"Baekhyun." he mumbled.

You turned, "Bacon?"

"What? No." he said, shocked, "It's Baek. Hyun."

You nodded but pouted, "I like the name Bacon though…"

He just stared at you as if you were crazy.

You shrugged, "I'm calling you Bacon now~"

He frowned, "No you are not."

You just gave him a wide smile, "Annyeong Bacon~~~"

"YAH!" he shouted as you ran out the door.

He ruffled his hair, "Aish."

"Hyun Jae, huh?" he mumbled, not noticing the smile that appeared on his face.

"Ah.." you quietly cried out in pain as you woke up.

"Jae!" a voice called. You opened your eyes and shook your head slightly to get the pain off. You heard a shuffling of footsteps and felt the bed you were laying on dip down slightly. Sitting up slowly, you see more than a dozen pair of eyes looking at you, full of worry.

"Where am I?" you asked.

"Nurse's office." D.O answered.

"Gwenchana?" Luhan asked, full of worry.

"What gives you a right to ask her that?!" you heard Yongguk's voice.

"You’re the one that punched her!" Lay shouted.

"She took the punch for you!" Jongup yelled.

"If you had let us explain, then she wouldn’t of needed to!" Kai fought back.

The shouting made your already aching head ache more and you were feeling a lot more weak.

"ENOUGH!" Daehyun and Baekhyun yelled at the same time, noticing the slight flinches you made. They both looked at you with worry and the rest of EXO and B.A.P hung their heads low, guilty for what they did.

"I'm fine...But, what happened again?" you asked them weakly.

"Yongguk punched you by accident and you took it quite hard." Suho said, not meaning to direct any blame to Yongguk. You nodded, remembering. You looked at EXO and smiled lightly, "Annyeong."

They smiled back. "Nice to see you again rascal." Kris ruffled your hair.

"Yah. Yah. Yah. Don’t touch her." Daehyun said protectively, which B.A.P followed, using their arms to block you. "Guys, it's fine. Like I said, they're friends of mine." you assured them.

They stepped back to look at you. "They are not your friends. You are not friends with bastards." Daehyun said as you gave him a glare. "Jung Daehyun." you hissed at his rudeness.

"They're EXO, Jae!" Youngjae exclaimed, motioning his hand to EXO.

"They cant be EXO!" you told them.

"THEY ARE!" they argued.

"I went to the same school as them! They cant be EXO" you persisted.

"You what?!" B.A.P shouted. "You went to SM High?!" Himchan asked, utterly shocked.

"What? Did you think I didn’t attend a school before I came here?" you asked.

"Well. Uh.." Youngjae was speechless, realizing you were right.

"They were never called EXO and I had never seen them fi-" "I'm sorry." Baekhyun's soft voice managed to stop yours. You directed your attention to him, "For what?"

"We...We are EXO." Chen quietly said. "W-what?" you stuttered.

"See. We told you they were." Yongguk said but you ignored him.

"Y-you guys are EXO?" you asked them, not believing.

"We didn’t want to lie, noona." Sehun truthfully said.

"Noona?!" Zelo cried in anger and shock.

"But you guys did." you said, focusing on EXO. They guiltily nodded, "Sorry."

"We knew you guys couldn’t be trusted from the start." Daehyun glared at them

"You call these guys your friends? Yeah, sure. They might've been, but they LIED." Yongguk smirked at them.

"it's not like it was planned!" Tao cried, getting angry that B.A.P was putting so much blame on them.

"But you still did it!" Jongup fought. The two groups yet again started fighting, including Daehyun and Baekhyun this time.

You sighed tiredly, "ENOUGH! STOP YELLING!"

They looked at you as you closed your eyes to calm yourself down. You were confused about everything right now. How the boys you knew as close friends in your previous school became the enemies of the close friends you had now bothered you the most. B.A.P had talked about EXO in a way you had never seen them act before. They were always the hyper and childish type of guys in your eyes. Sure, they were cold at first, but you always thought that was an act, and then now they're the number one enemies of B.A.P.

You looked at B.A.P, "Guys, EXO or not, these boys are my friends." B.A.P saddened a bit.

"Don’t you dare try and smirk." you told EXO even though you were looking at B.A.P. They immediately straightened their faces at your command.

"But, we told you what they did to us." Jongup argued.

You sighed, "It might've been some kind of mistake."

"But-" "Kim Himchan." you hissed and he lowered his head, scared of the tone of your voice.

The quick ring of a phone made all of you direct your attention to the sound.

Daehyun pulled his phone out and let out a sigh before looking at the rest of B.A.P, as if telling them something with his eyes.

"Aish...Why now?" Himchan ran a hand through his hair.

"Jae, our parents are calling us. We'll need to leave." Youngjae explained.

"Sorry for today," Yongguk sincerely said and you gave him a smile in response.

"Mianhae, noona." Zelo apologised, looking down. You ruffled his blonde hair, "Don’t worry maknae. I'm fine."

"Sorry Jae." Himchan and Jongup said at the same time. You smiled at them.

"Jae Jae…." Daehyun said affectionately, "Sorry for today. You even got a bruise." He chuckled lightly.

Your fingers went to the corner of your lips and pressed slightly, you flinched at the pain.

He flicked your forehead lightly, "See you later, babe." You made a face at what he called you as he laughed lightly.

B.A.P all headed for the door as you waved, "Annyeong oppas~"

When the door closed you looked at EXO. "Mind explaining." you told, more than asked.

As if planned, they all sighed deeply. You suppressed your chuckle, Always synchronised…

"Sor-" "Enough sorrys. I've heard about a million of those today," you cut him off, "I just need to know why."

"Well," Suho started, "I don’t know what B.A.P had told you, but we want to tell you our side of how we became enemies."

You straightened, telling them that you were listening attentively. EXO looked at each other, as if expecting one to start off.

Kris sighed, "When Yongguk was dating Woori-" "Wait, who's Woori?" you cut him off accidentally.

"She left before you came." Chen answered.

"Yeah." Kris continued, "Well, when they were dating, we always saw B.A.P at our school. That was when we first met. Yongguk truly did like her. We and B.A.P talked at times and we got along. But Woori was well known at school for playing guys. In and out of school. So, we always kept an eye on her. For about month, we didn’t see anything really happening with her and we had thought she actually liked Yongguk."

"But turns out we were way off." Suho continued, "We stayed after school once and we caught her-" He cut himself off as he cringed in disgust. The others soon followed as they remembered the event.

"halfhavingwithacollegestudent." Suho finished in one breath. The boys cringed one more time before Kris took off where Suho left.

"We confronted her about it and told her to leave Yongguk before he finds out about it. She shrugged and called Yongguk to break up with him as if he was nothing in her life and walked off."

"After about a week, she came up to Kris hyung and asked to meet him in private." Lay said, "She said that she had always had an eye for him and before hyung could answer, she kissed him"

"Oppa saw and she faked her tears." you finished. They nodded. You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion, "So, who started the whole rival thing?" They looked at each other. "I think it was B.A.P who called us out first." D.O said. You looked at them, "Then why didn’t I know about your rivalry?"

They immediately looked at Baekhyun and you followed. "I...we just wanted you to be safe." he said, "Back then I didn’t know you could fight-"He stopped as soon as he saw you tense, "Sorry. I didn’t mean to-"

"It's fine." you smiled at him. He swallowed, "And I thought that you wouldn’t talk to us like the rest of the school." You softened, "Idiot." You stuck your tongue out, "I wouldn’t ignore you idiots just because of that. That’s the reason why I talked to Bacon here in the first place." Baekhyun chuckled. It was quiet for a while and you noticed the slight guilt they still had and you smiled, "But I'm impressed. You guys kept the secret from me for what, 2 years? Poker-faces do have an upside."

"Shutup, rascal." Kris playfully said. "I missed you noona!!" Sehun and Tao said at the same time as they jumped on the bed to wrap you in a bear hug.

"Hey. Hey. Off my girl!" Luhan took the two off of you and hugged you instead. EXO's eyes widened as, one by one, they did the same as Luhan did. Kris was suffocating you with his hug when a scary voice came into sound, "OFF. HER."

You heard Kris gulp before he immediately pushed himself off of you and went to the rest of EXO right at the corner of the room, far away as possible from him. He looked back at you with a softened face and you chuckled. "Scary Bacon." He sat next to you on the bed with a caring gaze and you looked right back at him. EXO caught on and they soundlessly left the room, having to drag the whining Luhan behind.

"You good?" he asked after a while of comfortable silence. You nodded.

"I missed you." he said. You smiled, "I missed you guys too."

"It was….different without you." he looked right into your eyes. You raised an eyebrow, "No one to annoy you endlessly?" He chuckled, "Nah. EXO was still there to do that." You laughed, "Typical."

"But seriously." he sincerely said. You poked his cheeks, "Still the same Bacon."

"Yeah." he held your hand softly, "The same Bacon that's still in love with Kim Hyun Jae."
