Narrator’s POV

Eunsoo made her way to her locker. She was texting while walking, then she looked up and saw a familiar looking man walking the opposite direction.

They already went past each other but then,

“Ya, Choi Eunsoo.”

Eunsoo smiled.

“Ya, Choi Minho.”

Then she went to her locker.

“I have something to show you.”

Eunsoo closed her locker door and found Hoya beside her.

“Oh.”

“Ya, you said you wouldn’t avoid me.” Hoya smiled at her.

“I wont.” She replied.

“Let’s go.”

Hoya and her arrived at the rooftop, the same rooftop where she and Kai chatted.

“I found this place, I think it’s perfect. It’s peaceful.” Hoya said. Eunsoo smiled.

“I was here earlier.” She nodded.

“Really? With who?”

“Kai.” She looked around. Hoya’s brows furrowed.

Then Eunsoo remembered what Chaekyung had told her.

“You….and Chaekhyung, are you doing well?” She asked.

“We…are not that close.”

Eunsoo felt really awkward with him. She didn’t even know why.

“Hoya…there’s something~”

“Oh, you two are here.”

They both turned and saw Chaekyung walking towards them. She threw Eunsoo a look.

“We were talking.” Hoya said.

“I know. But don’t you think this is wrong?” She looked at Eunsoo.

“We were just talking. Then I’ll go.” Eunsoo picked up her bag.

“Soo~”

“You should go. Before gossip starts again.” Chaekyung crossed her arms.

“Chaekyung!” Hoya glared at her.

“Hoya oppa you’re married you shouldn’t be having this rendezvous with her, she’s just trying to seduce~”

“Can you watch your words, Bigung(Crown Princess)?”

Eunsoo turned, Kai was standing behind her.

“She didn’t call out to your husband. He was the one who brought her here. I saw them.” Kai said with his hands in his pockets, looking bored.

“I’m here to pick you up, Tae hyung is busy. Let’s go.”

“What does that have to do with you~”

“Stop talking.” Hoya looked at Chaekyung and began to drag her out of the place. Eunsoo looked away.

“Just like a drama, a drama.” Kai chuckled as they went down.

“I think it’s all coming to me.”

“Mwo?”

“What you said, burden between responsibility and feelings.” Eunsoo nodded.

“Feelings are reigning over huh?” Kai looked at her.

“I don’t know….sometimes responsibility is.”

Kai stopped walking.

“You know you cant just snap out~”

“It’s not like that. But it’s a good start to letting go, right?”

Kai nodded.

“No matter how much it hurts, I know I have to slowly do it.”

“So…you have finally decided on it? Letting him go.”

“There’s no other choice left. I admit, I am weak, I know I should fight for us, but if I do, people will just get hurt.”

“If this is about Chaekyung~”

“Aniya, whatever she is doing is all because of jealousy. I just….want to be single for a while.” She nodded.

Kai patted her shoulder and they continued to walk.

“Well, hwaiting.” Kai chuckled.

Your POV

“You wanted to drink?” Tao ge gaped at us as he sat on our table. Kai nodded.

“Who? Eunsoo? Kai?” He looked at us.

“Me, ge. Sit down.”

“But~”

“Don’t worry, Lay gege doesn’t have to know.” I chuckled.

“I’ll drive her home hyung, I wont drink.” Kai said. Tao ge gave me a look and he ordered.

Kai’s POV

Eunsoo, she might smile a lot but she has a lot of things hidden inside her. Like how, she’s in denial.

She loves Hoya, but she wants to let him go. She’s denying her feelings because…she’s afraid.

She was already on her third glass, and her cheeks were already pink.

But, I don’t get her. Why is she afraid?

“Jonginie!” She chuckled.

“I wont drink, gongjunim.” I helped her sit properly.

“If it weren’t for you….I think I’d be in trouble…you….you’re my..bepu.”

“Bepu?” I asked.

“Besteu peurendeu.(Best friend.)” She laughed and patted my hand.

“My playboy bestfriend, thanks for cancelling your date just to put up with me...I’ll repay you someday.” She smiled and began to drink again. Tao hyung was already asleep in front of us.

“How could you hide your pain from others? We’re all here for you.” I told her.

“You just said I was your bepu.”

She looked up.

“I’m…don’t like this other side of me.” She murmured.

“Don’t worry, I’ll help you.” I gave her a nod.
