Eunsoo was walking to her next class when two men in suits approached her.

“Who….” She looked at them.

“His majesty the king and the queen would like to meet with you, miss.”

Eunsoo walked in the palace, she didn’t even have time to admire its beauty as she was ushered to a receiving room where she found the king and the queen.

She bit her lip as she bowed politely.

“I think you know, child why I called you here.”

Eunsoo could only nod.

“I know you love my son, he loves you too, but….he has a duty to his family and most importantly, to his country.”

“Yes, pyeha.” Eunsoo nodded.

“Earlier, I heard you got into some trouble, we are sorry for that child.” The queen smiled at her.

“Did you get hurt?” She asked.

“No, I’m fine.” Eunsoo nodded.

“We only have one thing to ask, miss Choi.” The king spoke.

“Is it true that our son has offered you marriage?”

Eunsoo’s eyes widened.

She nodded slowly.

“And you rejected him.”

Eunsoo nodded.

“Which is why we ask of you to give him a clean break. I want you to let go of him. Because it’s because of you that he’s holding back. Miss Shin, his fiancé was arranged to marry him ever since they were babies. If~”

“I understand what you are saying, but why cant you give him the freedom to choose? Isnt it his life after all?”

“Because everything is not that easy, we have the royal family laws. And we can’t have a commoner like you in our palace. If he marries you, the throne may not be passed to him.”

Eunsoo looked away.

“But, if this is how it is, then I’ll let go of him, but please, let him be after. Hoya….he just wants freedom. He doesn’t like guards trailing after him.” Eunsoo stood up.

“Then, I’ll be going.”

Eunsoo got in the car and leaned on the seat.
