“Welcome back, mei.” Luhan ge grinned as I got in the house.

“Annyeong.” I smiled back at him.

“Kai said you weren’t feeling well.”

I blinked.

“What?”

“He called, he was a little worried, he said you were down.”

“Ah, just a little under the weather, I think.” I nodded.

“At your school, Kai seems to be a cold hearted playboy isn’t he?” Luhan ge said as we sat down at the living room.

“He is.” I chuckled.

“Well, maybe he is like that, but he’s a good friend.”

“I….agree.” I nodded.

“I just hope that one day, someone will be able to tame him.”

“That’s not gonna happen.” I chuckled as I remember his date at the coffee shop.

“Well, you’ll never know, honey.”

Narrator’s POV

Hoya was dining with his parents and in-laws to be. He was already introduced to the Shins. Chaekyung was a polite young lady and the king was pleased.

Hoya just concentrated on his food.

He was too numb. Eunsoo didn’t want to marry him and…… he felt really empty.

“So we will proceed to the wedding next week!” The king shook Mr. Shin’s hand.

Hoya didn’t react.

“Howon-ah, greet your fiancé.” The queen said. Hoya looked up.

“Nice to meet you.” He nodded, then he stood up.

“My presence here is enough right? I need to go.” He said curtly before heading out.

Myungsoo sat up from his bed as soon as he heard banging from his door.

“What?” He hissed as he opened the door.

“Oh, hyung.” He blinked.

“I’m getting married next week.”

It took Myungsoo five minutes to realize what Hoya said.

“What about….Eunsoo?”

“I’ll get her back.”

“But you’re getting married~”

“I don’t love her, I don’t even know the girl, L.”

“Hyung, Eunsoo, she’s just going to get hurt.” Myungsoo reasoned.

“Are you saying that I should just give her up?”

Myungsoo closed his mouth.

“I just don’t get it, why wont he listen to you?” Kai blinked.

He was sitting beside her inside their classroom, their professor wasn’t around yet.

“Will you lower your voice? People will hear you.” Eunsoo shooed him away.

“Whatever.” Kai shrugged.

“I….dont know, honestly. He was always so understanding before.”

“Do you know who’s getting married to him?” Kai asked.

“I don’t.”

“Should we find out?”

“Can you go back to your seat?” Eunsoo gave him a look. Kai chuckled and sauntered to his seat.

On the other hand, Baekhyun saw their interaction. Kai didn’t even try to hit her, not even once. For the first time, he saw smile at a girl with sincerity.

Baekhyun chuckled heartily.

Eunsoo was chatting with Jihae about their project when she saw Hoya and Sungyeol walking towards them.

“Ya, why aren’t you picking up your phone? Even Lay hyung is calling me non stop because of you.” Kai appeared beside them.

Jihae blinked up at him.

Since when did the two become close? ,she thought.

“Huh?” Eunsoo blinked from them then to him.

“Lay hyung. Phone, pick up his calls~”

Eunsoo grabbed him by the elbow. Kai followed her with a sigh.

Hoya saw how Eunsoo was avoiding him. He stopped in his tracks as he realized who the guy she was with.

“Why is she with the playboy?” He muttered.

Sungyeol looked at his friend. Hoya dropped the bag of cookies he was holding to the floor.

Then he walked out of the school.
