~Prologue~

"I always wandered what it would be like to get my Guardian badge...but I was always so clumsy I could never pass any of the test to earn it. After mama died the others slowly left me alone, I didn't have anyone telling me I could do it. I lost faith in myself...I felt like nothing by a screw up. The day I messed up on cleanup duty and broke one of Heaven's Scared Weapons I was sent to Earth as punishment. Maybe things went that way for a reason...maybe I was supposed to end up on Earth so I can leaarn more about those I wanted so badly to protect. The thought of leaving and having to go back scared me....but then again maybe I'm just being Naive."

  Lu Han sighed as his alarm went off, turning to his side he pressed the snooze button and starred at the light shining in through the blinds. Slowly he sat up and starred at the wall, he didn't feel like doing the same thing again. He knew if he didn't get up and head to the shower now he would be late for class. With another sigh he got out of bed and headed to the shower. The mornings were always the same...it was boring.

  Kris was downstairs already ready for the school day, he heard Lu Han's shower turn on and smiled, he was the leader of his friends and cared for each memeber like a brother. He could tell when Lu Han was bored and judging by the sounds of his footsteps today was one of those days. Xiumin came down the steps a few seconds later and sat down at the table after grabbing a bowl of ceral. Kris looked at him and pointed upstairs, Xiumin looked up before shrugging.

  "I don't know what his problem is this morning." He stated as he continued to eat his food.

  The guys had been roomates for awhile now, they were close enough and living together made things much more easier. Of course they had there arguments here and there. and then there was the days the other members of their friends would come over and spend the night. But all in all they were a small little family since high school.

   "Guess that means were going to have an interesting walk to school." Kris said with his usual friendly smile.

   "Nah, I'm sure he'll be fine after he gets out of his shower. Don't pay it any mind."

  "Guess you're right." Kris said with a small chuckle. "You two sure do know how to make me laugh."

  On cue Lu Han came down the steps and looked at his friends, both looked at him curiously waiting to see what he would do or say. Lu Han knew the game they were playing, he ignored the looks and walked over to the refrigerator and grabbed a ice cold bottle of water. Turning to his friends he rolled his eyes and headed for the door grabbing his bookbage and slinging it over his shoulder. With a small smile he opened the door and looked back at them.

  "Are you guys coming or what?" Lu Han asked in his friendly tone, his way of showing them he was perfectly fine.

  Kris laughed as he stood up and grabbed his bag as well. "Looks like you wanted to prove me wrong today Lu Han..." He said walking past him and nodding his head.

  Xiumin cooly grabbed his bag and followed Kris. "Well then let's get on with the day." He said as he gave Lu Han a solid high five and walked out the door.

  Luhan closed the door and left the apartment with his friends. After closing the front door he looked up at the bright sky, something felt diffrenet about the day. He couldn't place his fringer on it but he hoped whatever it was it was for the best. After fixing his tie he walked up to his friends. The three of them headed to their school together like usual.
