Kevin carried you effortlessly to the infirmary and set you down on the bed.

"Oh dear...what happened?" The doctor asked, clucking his tongue.

"Just a slight accident. Nothing much." Kevin stated.

"Alright let's take a look." The doctor pushed your skirt aside and took a look at your ankle.

You winced as he put slight pressure on your ankle.

He pressed down, you hissed glaring at him,"That hurts!"

"Looks like a sprain...no more vigorous activities your majesty." The doctor said as he wrapped your ankle in gauze and turned to Kevin.

"Take her to her room, ice the ankle, removing the ice every hour."

"Yes sir." Kevin nodded, gently holding you again.

*Damn..I couldn't protect her.*

Kevin thought bitterly as he set you down on your bed and briskly walked off.

"Wait!" You called.

Kevin froze and turned around,"Yes?"

"Thank you." You stated.

"For...?" Kevin questioned.

"Although this happened, it was lots of fun." You said.

Kevin nodded as he walked out, closing the door.

"The king wants to see you."

Kevin, sighing deeply, walked into the king's quarters.

"Yes sir?" He inquired.

"I thought you were strong. Why did my daughter get injured?" The king calmly questioned.

"I'm sorry sir, it was unexpected and I'll take full responsibility for the lady's injury." Kevin bowed.

"Are you incapable of protecting my daughter?" The king questioned.

"...No sir." Kevin replied.

"Good. Please carry on. Dismissed." 

Kevin bowed as he left, making sure to be alone before punching the wall.

"Crap." He hissed, breaking several other objects.

"Kevin." Eli said as he held Kevin back.

"Relax. It was an accident. Accidents happen. Whether they were caused by magic or not." Eli reprimanded.

"Still...what's the point if she got hurt anyway?" Kevin hissed.

"You get over it and stop blaming yourself." Eli said.

Kevin groaned as he punched the wall again.

"It's not like she hates you or blames you. So you need to stop too." Eli pointed out, trying to reassure Kevin.
