Kevin was sitting in one of the castle's smaller rooms:

"The princess will be here shortly." One of the servants said as Kevin nodded and leaned on the wall.

He closed his eyes and remembered when he first met you.

~Flashback~

"Wait for me!" A tinkling voice called as a tinier version of you chased after a boy.

"________-ah!" Your mother called.

"Yes mommy?" You smiled as your father encouraged Kevin to come forward.

Being extremely shy, Kevin looked down and refused to meet your eyes.

Having being just rescued, he was dirty and tired.

Before formal introductions were even made, you gasped.

You tore off a part of your dress and used it cover Kevin's forehead.

"Mommy he's bleeding!" You exclaimed, tearing.

Kevin's heart started beating as your tiny hands covered the wound.

"Oh my...let's go to the nurse Kevin dear." Your mother cooed as Kevin stay rooted in place.

"Hmm... _________-ah, you come too darling." You father called as you nodded and took Kevin's hand, leading him to the infirmary of the castle.

~Flashback End~

*Dammit, get a hold of yourself.*

"Here she is." The maid announced as you entered.

Kevin bowed and said,"Your highness."

You were silent,*Who is he?*

*Please don't remember or recognize me.*

"My name is Kevin and I'll be your..uhh..I guess tutor." Kevin said.

"Okay." You stated.

*Her voice...* Kevin's eyes grew slightly wide as you sat down boredly.

"So what are you teaching me?" You asked.

"What do you want to learn your highness?" He replied.

"Please don't refer to me as that." You requested.

"Your highness?" 

You nodded,"No majesty, princess, nothing. No titles."

"Yes...umm." Kevin was at a loss.

"Just call me _________." You muttered.

"Okay..Lady _________." Kevin smiled a bit as you rolled your eyes.

"Fine." You agreed.

"Well...I could teach you how to call a bird, but you're not exactly Snow White or Sleeping Beauty." Kevin shrugged.

"You'll teach me anything I want?" You questioned.

"That is in my job description." Kevin folded his arms across his chest.

"Can you teach me how to shoot a bow?" You asked.

"Bow? As in..bow and arrow?" Kevin inquired.

Your dull eyes sparkled as you nodded with a smile,"Please?"

*How can I say no to that smile?*

"Yeah..sure." He nodded, leading you to the shooting range.

Your father smiled when he heard that you had smiled genuinely for the first time in three years.

"Barely met and she's already smiling."
