Luckily, it wasn’t that long of a drive and they arrived within a few minutes.

“This must be it. What is this place for?” Jaesuk said as they drove through a deserted road. There weren’t that many buildings around but they saw a storage container that seemed like it was converted into an office. Jaesuk parked the car and they all got out.

“I have a bad feeling about this.” Jongmin repeated his thoughts from earlier.

“Hold on.” Jaesuk said as he looked around.

“What is this place?” Sehun asked as he pulled Sunmi closer to his side.

“Is C here?” Jaesuk asked as well.

“I think so.” Sunmi answered him.

“This must be it.” Sehun pointed to the lone storage container office in the middle of the field.

“I think this is the place.” Jaesuk agreed with him.

“It's a storage container.” Kwangsoo pointed out.

“Someone must've been here.” Jongmin added. Suddenly, the door to the storage container opened abruptly and revealed C.

“No way.” Kwangsoo whispered.

“He's alive.” Jongmin stated.

“He's still alive.” Jaesuk repeated.

“You died that day.” Jaesuk told C.

“I'm surprised to see you here. You came even though you were well aware that you will die.” C informed them.

“What?” Jaesuk asked him.

“Guys! Get them!” C called out loud.

“What's going on?” The detectives asked as people in suits came out of nowhere.

“Go ahead.” C told them.

“What's going on?” Jaesuk asked.

“Search them!” C commanded.

“What's happening?” Kwangsoo asked as the men grabbed them and dragged them somewhere.

“What's going on?”

“What are you doing?” The detectives kept asking.

“Search them.” C commanded again.

“They are trying to take my bag.” Kwangsoo let the others know. Sunmi, who stood behind Kwangsoo, felt that they were looking for the chip. She kicked the one who was trying to pull away Kwangsoo’s bag.

“I’m sorry. But you can’t take that.” She called out as even more people tried to hold her down.

“Don't let them take it.” Jaesuk told Kwangsoo. Sunmi kept trying to kick the people coming for Kwangsoo’s bag away but there were too many of them.

“Hold Subject 1 down.” C ordered and more people overpowered her.

“What do I do? No, you can't take my bag. Hold on.” Kwangsoo couldn’t do anything more as they took his bag.

“They took it.” Kwangsoo whispered to the group.

“They took it?” Jaewook asked him.

“Yes.” Kwangsoo confirmed.

“How could you let them take it?” Jaesuk asked him.

“Jaesuk, they're part of the project, too.” Jongmin pointed out after a few moments.

“I know. They are all failed test subjects.” Jaesuk told him.

“Really?” Kwangsoo asked.

“Look at their faces.” Jongmin pointed out. The people then started tying them up together.

“Make sure to tie Subject 1 extra tight.” C reminded the men.

“Wait.”

“It hurts.” The detectives cried out as they were bound together.

“What do we do now?” Kwangsoo asked. One of the men lit a wick which was connected to a bomb.

“What's that?” Jaewook heard the sound of something simmering which was the fire crawling up the wick.

“It's a bomb!” Kwangsoo called out.

“What have I done?”

“Come on!” Some of the detectives cried out in panic as well. Meanwhile, Sunmi was still trying to untie the knots of the rope that bound her hands and Jaesuk’s.

“It's a bomb!” Kwangsoo repeated.

“Oh, no.”

“What are you talking about?” Jaesuk asked as he was on the other side and couldn’t see the bomb.

“I can't see.” Jongmin added.

“C, please. Excuse me.” Jaesuk started bargaining.

“Why are you doing this to us?” Sejeong asked him.

“How do you like being tied up?” C asked the group.

“We hate it, of course.” Jongmin answered.

“I can't hear you.” C told him.

“I love you!” Kwangsoo randomly shouted.

“But I don't love you back.” C coldly replied.

“I'm sorry, we were wrong.” Kwangsoo told him.

“Let us go. Untie us.” Jongmin called out.

“Stop it. There's a bomb.” Jaewook told him.

“Listen to C.” Sehun added.

“Let's be reasonable.” Jongmin told C.

“Will you drop this crap about being detectives and join me?” C asked them.

“What?” They asked him.

“Will you join me Subject 1?” C asked.

“Never in a million years.” Sunmi angrily told him.

“That’s too bad. You were the perfect test subject. I could easily give you your memories back and more.” C said as he held up the chip.

“Hyung! How could you let him have it?” Sejeong asked Kwangsoo.

“He took it.” Sehun added.

“Does he have the microchip?” Kwangsoo asked Jaewook as he was unable to see C from where he was facing.

“Once I plug this microchip into a computer, the files will be sent to whoever wishes to obtain this knowledge. In return, I'll be paid for my services. When this project first began, I shared the same belief as K. However, once the microchip was made, K started to fear the power it possessed. That's when I had a thought. If we could mold the perfect detective, we could also commit the perfect crime. But K turned down my proposal. This was made obvious by the fact that he sent Subject 1 away.” C revealed.

“I gathered opposing forces and began researching. I decided to hand over the information to whoever wanted it.” He finished his explanation.

“You’ll never get away with this.” Sunmi angrily told him.

“What a waste you are. I can't believe you made the same choice as K. You better not have any regrets for doing so.” C told the group.

“What do we do?” Kwangsoo asked.

“See you!” C bid them goodbye as he walked back to his storage container, away from the blast site.

“This must be how we die.” Jaesuk told the others.

“The bomb.” Jaewook pointed out as the wick kept getting shorter and shorter.

“What do we do?” Kwangsoo asked again.

“Gosh, it's freezing.” They heard C say as he closed the door to his storage container.
