Third Mission: Protect The Princess - Part 9

How To Steal A First Kiss

"Sam, do you want to go with me to the library today?" Cammie said as she looked at her best friend. The nerdy guy just let out a smile as she shook his head. "Sorry, but I have plans today. Don't you have a date with Wes?" Sam said. Cammie let out a pout. "The guy's going out with his senior today. So I have nothing to do." she said. Sam just let out a laugh. "I know you'll be able to find something to do today." he said.

He looked at his watch, and then looked back at her. "It's time. I have to go, Cammie. See you tomorrow." he said. Cammie just let out a sigh as she slumped on her chair. "What should I do?" she asked herself. She looked outside, and decided to  just follow her best friend.

As she got out of the room, she saw him hugging a girl. Then, she smiled to herself. "Ah, it must be her little princess..." she thought. For years now, Sam had been telling her about a girl he calls "Little princess", someone he had liked for a long time. And basing on what she's seeing, the girl must be her. She's happy seeing Sam this happy. And now, his love is no longer unrequited. "Finally, Sam. Finally..." she thought.

Dylan was reading the menu, when he felt the intense staring from Sunnee. He peeked at her, but her eyes immediately looked away from him, and onto the menu she's holding. He turned his attention to the menu again, but he felt her staring again.

This time, he cleared he throat and put the menu down. "I already saw you staring at me." he said. Sunnee let out a sigh, and put her menu down. "Why are you staring at me?" he asked. "Why do you want to date me?" she asked. Dylan gave her a confused look. "We used to hate each other. Also, I'm not really as pretty as Sarah. Although we share the same interests though..." she said.

"Do you know why people go out on a date?" Dylan asked her. "Why?"

"So that they'll get to know the person better. So, don't worry. Maybe, later, we'll find something more in common between the two of us. And who says I hate you?"

"But we always fight..."

"Because you always break school rules because of your sense of justice. And as a Sakura Council head-"

Sunnee rolled her eyes at him. "Can you drop the subject about you being a Sakura Council head?" she said. Dylan just closed his mouth. "So, you don't really hate me?" she asked. "You're the one who hates me." he said. "That's because you always get in my way!" she told him. "Can you drop the subject about you breaking school rules?" he said. This time, it's Sunnee's turn to be silent.

"Let's make a deal. Today, I'm not the Sakura Council head. I'm just Dylan, a guy who's in lo- in front of you. And you're just Sunnee, not the rule breaker, and the girl I lo- I'm dating right now. OK?" he said. Sunnee just nodded his head.

Then, a waitress came to get their orders. Dylan turned to the waitress, and smiled. "Give her all desserts you have in the restaurant." he said, Sunnee was surprised at what he did, but it made her smile. "And two coffee please." he added. Dylan looked at her, and saw her smiling. Seeing her smile at him, he couldn't help but smile and blush at the same time.

"Don't smile at me like that." he told her. "Why?" she asked. "I might dote on you. Or worse, I might fall in love with you." he said. Sunnee immediately suppressed her smile. But she didn't know why, but each time she looks at Dylan, she couldn't help but smile his way.

"There's this new cafe by the park." Addie said as she and Sam were walking. "Do you want to try it out?" he asked. Addie smiled and nodded her head. "I heard they serve the best coffee and the best cakes there." she said. "Then, we should go there." Sam said. He squeezed her hand gently as they continued to walk.

Shortly after, they were able to reach the cafe. "This must be it." Addie said. "Should we go in?" Sam asked. Addie nodded her head. But before they could reach the door, Addie saw something by the window. Sam noticed it too. "Oh, it's Sunnee and Dylan?" Sam said. Addie stared at the two of them for a long time, and let out a wide smile.

"So that's why Qi Qi bailed out on our tea time today." she said. Sam gave her a confused look. "Qi Qi?" he asked. Addie just smiled at him. Then, she looked at the window, admiring the two. "They look so good together, right?" she asked. Sam let out a smile. "If you just forget the fact they always fought, yes. Also, I didn't know they are secretly dating." he said.

Addie then turned to Sam. "Hey, why don't we just go to my house instead? I'm sure my chef will whip us some good food for our tea time." she said. "Well, it's a good idea. If Dylan finds out we're together, he'll give me a demerit." he said. "Don't worry, I'll make sure Qi Qi will remove all the demerits he gave you." Addie said.

Sam gave her a confused look. "How?" he asked. Addie could only answer him with a smile. Then, she pulled him away from the cafe.

Dylan let out a smile as he watched Sunnee laugh. He had just told her a funny memory from his childhood, and she couldn't help but laugh. "That was so funny..." Sunnee managed to say between laugh.

"You know, your nickname reminds me of something..." Dylan said. With that, Sunnee stopped laughing. "What is it?" she asked. "I used to have a panda stuff toy when I was young." he said. Sunnee gave him a curious look. "Really?" she asked. Dylan nodded his head. "I named it Qing Qing."

After hearing that, Sunnee could only stare at him. "Qing... Qing?" she asked.Dylan nodded his head. "Weird, right?" he asked. She shook her head as she smiled. "No. Not weird at all." she said. Then, she smiled at him. "Xiao Zi... are you Xiao Zi, Dylan?" she asked in her thoughts.

Cammie was walking towards the schoolgate when something caught her attention. It was men in black standing beside a white car. Seeing them made her a little bit suspicious. "Who are they and what are they doing here?" she thought. Suddenly, she felt her head began to ache again.

"No, not this time, Qiu Yue... please..." she said to herself. As she looked at them again, she noticed a familiar figure joining them. Her eyes widened upon seeing him. More flashback came into her, and her head began to ache more, that she almost fell on the ground.

Good thing someone caught her before she fell. "Cammie, are you all right?" she heard Evan ask. She looked at him, and then looked at the men in black outside the school gate. "I... I think I know why he looks familiar..." she said. Evan gave her a curious look.
