Dylan has just finished his paperwork. He leaned on his chair, and then took out his phone. "I wonder how Sarah is doing?" he thought. He smiled to himself as he sent Sarah a message. 

 

Meanwhile, Sunnee was walking back to the classroom after her watch guard duties (part of her task as an Imperial Guard), when her phone beeped. He saw the message from Dylan to 'Sarah'. "What does this stupid ice monster want?" she thought as she opened his message. 

 

Dylan: "Just two more days till our date. I can't wait to see you! I miss you!"

 

Sunnee sighed and rolled her eyes as she read it. "Love struck ugly stupid polar bear ice monster..." she thought. As she was about to press the screen to reply to him, someone have done it for her. 

 

Sarah: "Me too! I miss you! :-* "

 

She was surprised to see the kiss emoticon on her message. Then, she looked at the room, and saw Wes and Brent laughing, making her angry. "Who tinkered with my phone?!" she asked. "I sent that message... sorry!" Evan said 

 

An angry tick formed on her forehead. "Don't ever think of sleeping tonight, Evan..." she hissed at him. As she entered the room, Wes and Brent stopped laughing. She sat on her seat, and hear Wes and Brent trying contain their laughter. "These two, they probably told that stupid Stallion to send that message..." she thought. She looked back at the two, and glared at them. Brent and Wes tried their best not to laugh in front of her. 

 

"So, are you ready for your date with Polar Bear this weekend?" Wes finally asked Sunnee. Sunnee looked back at him, and glared at him. "You..." she hissed. "Well, you agreed to the date, didn't you?" Brent told her. Sunnee glared at Brent, and pointed at him. "You stole my phone and sent that message to him. Why don't you go and date him instead?" he said. Brent and Wes just laughed. 

 

"But, we have everything prepared for you!" Wes told her. "Wes, if you and Cammie go out on a date in the future, I swear to God. I'll ruin your date!" Sunnee said. "That is, if you know when and where." Wes said. "We bought you a cute dress to wear." Brent lured her. "No."

"Evan will do your make up."

"No."

"We'll give you our allowance for a week if you go."

"No." 

"We'll tell Lin Yi to bake you sweets for a week if you go."

 

Sunnee paused for a while, and looked at Brent. "Are you sure you can convince Lin Yi to bake me sweets?" she said. "Lin Yi will listen to me. If I tell him to make you a lot of sweets, he'll do that." Wes said. Sunnee fell silent. Sweets and pastries are her life. Her brothers knew she'll do anything for it, and they used it against her. "All right, I'll go!" she said. Brent and Wes looked at each other again, and smiled as they gave each other a high five. "But... sweets for one week. OK?" she said. "Of course, we'll keep our end of the bargain, Panda." Wes told her.

Lin Yi put his hand on the wall, as the girl in front of him leaned on the wall. He let out a boyish smile as he held her hand. "Such soft hands..." he said. The girl blushed at him. "Thanks..." she said shyly. "Do you know I can do palm reading. Want me to read your palm?" he asked. The girl nodded her head. 

 

He took her hand, and opened her palm. "I see here, you have seen your one true love." he said. Her eyes lightened up upon hearing that. "Really?" she asked. Lin Yi nodded his head. He traced the lines on her palm. "And it's pointing... to me..." he said, finally pointing to himself. 

 

The girl blushed again as she smiled shyly. "You know, you're the prettiest girl I ever laid my eyes on." Lin Yi told her. "R-really?" she asked. Lin Yi nodded his head. "So, I want to ask..." he said as he cupped her cheeks. 

 

"Lin Yi!"

 

He heard a familiar voice calling her. He closed his eyes, and let out a sigh. "Interrupted again..." he thought. He looked back, and saw Wes and Brent walking up to him. He then looked at the girl, and smiled sweetly at her. "I'll tell you that later, OK, sweetie? I need to talk to my friends." he said. The girl nodded her head. She kissed him on the cheek before leaving him. 

 

Lin Yi faced the two, and folded his arms. "You guys interrupted my flirting session." he said in an annoyed tone. "Well, you can find someone to flirt later, we need to talk to you." Wes said. "About what?"

"Panda bear."

 

Lin Yi gave the two a confused look. "What about panda bear?" he asked. "We want you to make her sweets next week. Anything she likes." Brent said. This made him even more confused. "I thought you guys didn't want Panda to eat too much sweets." he asked. "It's a bribe, so she'll go to her date with Polar Bear." Wes said. 

 

Lin Yi let out a sigh. "Why do you set her up with that ice monster? Why don't you set her up with me?!" Lin Yi said. Wes smiled as he patted his shoulder. "Lin Yi, you're telling us you like Panda, and yet we catch you flirting with another girl. You want me to give you a slow and painful death?" he said with a smile. The way Wes said it morbidly gave him shivers. "O-of course not!" he said nervously. "Good. Now, will you do it and bake Panda sweets for a week?" Brent asked. Lin Yi just nodded his head. With that, Wes patted his head. "Good boy. You can sleep soundly tonight without fear of getting killed by me." Wes told him.

It was the day of the date. 

 

Dylan had took out all the clothes in his closet to find the best thing to wear. "Polar bear, what do you think?" he asked as he put a shirt over himself. The stuff toy just gave him a lifeless look. "Doesn't look good on me, right? I thought so too." he said. He took out another shirt, and tried it on. "How about this?" he asked his stuff toy. Still, it looked at him  lifelessly. "Still not good. I know." he said. 

 

He tried on several shirts until he settled on one. "Polar bear, this looks better, right?" he asked his stuff toy with a smile. There was no reply from it, but he let out a smile. "I know I'm handsome in this shirt. Do you think Sarah would find me handsome?" he asked. Then, he looked at himself in the mirror. "Of course, I am handsome." he told himself.

"You're making me wear that?!" 

 

Sunnee shouted at both Brent and Evan. The two flinched as she shouted. They just showed her the pink sun dress they're making her wear for the date. "But this looks cute on you." Evan said. "And Wes picked this personally for you." Brent said. 

 

"I will kill that stupid ugly lion!" Sunnee shouted. She was about to get out of the room to confront Wes, but Brent and Evan stopped her. "Don't kill him!" they both shouted at her. Sunnee paused, and looked at them. "Then don't make me go to that date." she told them. 

 

"But you already agreed." Evan told her. "Remember, Lin Yi is making your favorite cookies. You can't have them till you wear this dress, and go to your date with Polar Bear." Brent told him. Sunnee let out a sigh as she snatched the dress on his hand. "Fine. If it's not for the cookies..." she said. Brent let out a smile. "Good girl. Now, go and prepare for your date. You need to be the prettiest tonight." Brent told her. 

 

Sunnee gave them a scowl, and stuck a tongue at them.

Dylan stood outside the cafe in front of Ping Guo College. In his hand, he's holding a bouquet of blue roses. He looked at his watch, and then at the bouquet of roses he's holding. As second passes, he's even more nervous. "Any minute now, she'll be here." he thought. 

 

"Dylan?" 

 

He heard someone call him. He looked at that direction, and saw 'Sarah' walking towards him, and smiling his way. He let out a smile as he looked at her. "Sarah..." she said. Next thing he knew, she was standing next to him. 

 

"Sorry, I'm late." she said. Dylan just smiled at her. "Did I made you wait for so long?" she asked. Dylan simply smiled, making Sarah/Sunnee confused. "What's wrong with this stupid ugly polar bear ice monster?" she thought. 

 

"Dylan?" she called again. This time, Dylan came to his senses. "Oh, I'm sorry. No, you didn't make me wait for so long." Dylan said. Sarah just nodded her head. Then, he handed her the bouquet of blue roses. As Dylan gave it to her, she couldn't help but stare at it. 

 

"Polar bear, why are you giving me blue roses? How did you know I wanted to get blue roses?" she thought. "For you." Dylan said. Sunnee let out a smile as she took the roses from his hand. "Thank you. These are beautiful." she said. She inhaled its scent for awhile, and then smiled at him. 

 

"I've always wanted to receive blue roses from someone." Sunnee said. "I just didn't expect it from you..." she added in her thought. "I think you're like these blue roses. You're mysterious  and one of a kind." Dylan told her. Sunnee couldn't help but blush at what he said. She didn't expect Dylan to be this sweet talker. 

 

"Shall we go? I made a reservation at this nice restaurant downtown." Dylan asked her. Sunnee just nodded her head. "Sure." she said. Just in time, Dylan's car came and stopped in front of them. As they walked towards the car, Dylan tripped on his own foot, and fell on the ground. 

 

Sunnee was shocked at what happened to him, knowing that Dylan isn't that clumsy. "Dylan? Are you all right?" she asked as she helped him to stand up. Dylan flinched in pain as he stood up. "I'm OK..." he said. Sunnee couldn't help but laugh at him. "What happened to you?" she asked. Dylan looked at her, and smiled. "Your smile is too bright, and I fell for you." he said. 

 

Sunnee sweat dropped at what he said. "What a lame pick up line..." she thought. "Shall we go? I'm a little hungry." she told him. Dylan nodded his head. He then opened the door, and helped Sunnee get inside the car.

At the restaurant.

 

Dylan read the menu, and peeked at Sunnee/Sarah as she was deciding what to order. Each time Sunnee caught him staring at her, he would hide behind the menu. "Stupid ice monster, I already saw you staring at me." she thought.

 

"I've decided on my order." Sunnee told him. Dylan put his menu down, and looked at her. Then, he called the waiter so she  "So, what will you be having?" Dylan asked her. "I'll have roasted chicken, then chocolate cheesecake, creme brulee,  and strawberry ice cream for dessert." she said. 

 

Dylan looked at her, and smiled. "You sure have a sweet tooth." he commented. "Girls really like sweets, you know." she said. Dylan moved closer to her, and held her hand. "You actually remind me of someone who really likes sweets." he said. 

 

By this time, Sunnee is nervous, thinking she blew her cover. "R-really? Who?" she asked. "A cupcake thief." he said. Sunnee let out a nervous laugh. "Is... is there such a thing?" she asked. "There is one. The cupcake thief is a panda bear." Dylan explained. Sunnee just nodded her head. 

 

Then, Dylan turned to the waiter, and made his order. "I'll have a salmon, then apple pie and strawberry ice cream as well." he told the waiter. The waiter took note of their orders, and left the two alone. 

 

"I... I saw the pictures of cupcakes you made the other day. I... I didn't know you bake." Sunnee started. "I do. But it depends on my mood." Dylan told her. Sunnne gave him a confused look. "I bake cupcakes and muffins when I'm mad. I bake cinnamon roll when I'm sad. And cakes or pies when I'm happy." Dylan explained. 

 

"Wow, so the things you bake depend on your moon. How about breads?" she asked. "When I'm pressured from school."

"Brownies?"

"Maybe when I'm excited or looking forward to something."

"Cream puffs?"

"I bake them when I feel down."

"Cookies?"

 

Dylan paused for a while, and looked at her. "For a panda bear." he said. Hearing that, made Sunnee both confused and nervous. "A panda bear?" she asked again. Dylan nodded his head. "What about this panda... bear?" she asked again. "The panda bear is not just a cupcake thief. She's a cookie thief." he explained. "Well, she must like cookies a lot?" she asked. Dylan nodded her head. "How about you, do you like cookies?" he asked. 

 

Sunnee just looked at him. "Is he trying to blow my cover?" she thought. "I guess I like cookies..." Sunnee answered. "Then, I'll send you cookies and cupcakes one day." Dylan told her. Sunnee just nodded her head. 

 

After a while, their order arrived. As they were eating, they were talking about school (which Sunnee had to lie about), and their lives. Sunnee somehow realized that there is more to Dylan than the tough faced he always had in school. "Maybe he's just like that because he's the Sakura Council head..." she thought as she watched Dylan talk animatedly. 

 

She realized that they had the same interests - they both like the same food, the same TV shows, even the same baseball team. Somehow, she found herself enjoying the date with him more, than her date with Yi Tian the other day. 

 

However, while she was telling Dylan a funny story, he was laughing too hard that he almost choked. When he was coughing and gasping for air, she realized what was wrong with him. Sunnee immediately got up from her chair, and helped Dylan by patting his back. 

 

"Are you OK?" she asked him. Dylan just nodded his head. When Dylan was able to breath properly, she handed him a glass of water. "Here, drink this." she told him. Dylan took the glass from her hand, and drank it all up. "Thank you..." Dylan told her after drinking the water. 

 

Sunnee went back to her seat. "At least he gets to be silent for a while. His laugh is still ringing in my ears. I never thought his laugh is so girly..." she thought. "Hey, I have a joke for you." Dylan said, trying to break the ice again. "What is it?" she asked. "What do you call a Labrador that becomes a magician?" he asked. "What?" Sunnee asked him. "A Labracadabrador!" Dylan said. 

 

Although the joke was lame, it made her smile. "I have another one. What did the seal with a broken arm told the Polar Bear?" 

"What?"

"Do not consume if seal is broken."

 

This time, Sunnee laughed out loud. And that moment she laughed, Dylan knew he had fallen more in love with her. "That was so funny!" Sunnee told him. Dylan let out a laugh as well. but he was laughing so hard, he bumped the glass of water beside her, and it fell on her dress. 

 

"Oh no!" Dylan exclaimed after he realized what he have done. "It's OK." Sunnee said. She took a lot of tissues to wipe the water off her skirt. "Are you sure?" Dylan asked. Sunnee nodded her head. Then, Dylan smiled again. This was different from his smiles before. There was a sparkle in his eyes, as he stared at her. Then, her heart began to beat faster. 

 

"Why is he smiling and looking at me like that? Also, why is my heart beating so fast? Is this a sign that I should kill him?" she thought. Then, he reached for her hand, and held it again. She could hear her heart beating faster this time. "His hand is so warm..." she thought. "I enjoyed tonight. I hope this won't be the last time." Dylan told her. "This will be the last time, ice monster..." she thought. 

 

Then, she smiled. "Of course. I hope to see you again." she said. Then, she realized just what she said. "Wait, why did I say that?" she thought. But then, she looked at him again, and was drawn into his eyes that was staring at her. "I feel like melting when he looks at me like that..." she thought as she blushed.

Dylan got inside his room, and plopped  to his bed. Then, he turned to his polar bear stuff toy, and smiled. "I had a great time with her, polar bear!" he told his stuff toy. "It turns out, we had a lot of things in common. Also, I think..." 

 

He paused for a while, and then let out a smile. "I think I'm in love with that panda bear..." he said. Then, he looked at the lifeless stuff toy. "You must be wondering how did I know that Sarah and Sunnee are the same, right?" he asked the stuff toy. The stuff toy just gave him a lifeless look. 

 

"Simple. Panda's love for sweets gave her away. Also her laugh..." he said. Then, he let out a smile. "That was the laugh I fell in love with Panda bear before... "
