“ So, what are we going to do today ? “

Yoona asked and stares at Key excitedly while waiting for his answer.

“ What do you want for today ? “

He asked her back slightly made her to feel disappointed.

“ It's always me who decide .. why don't you do it for today ? “

“ The truth is .. I don't have anything in my minds. I was so busy with the assignment at my class and totally forgets about this.

I'm sorry. “

“ Hmm .. In that case, let's just go to the Lotte World. “

“ Alright. “

Both of them were having fun at the amusement park, well, it's Yoona who had the most fun by that time since she keep on

dragging Key towards the thrill rides which obviously he's not into that at all but he just have to bare with her.

 

“ You're not that bad. It wasn't like the first time we rode this thing. You didn't scream as much as before. “

“ What ? Are you having fun looking at me screaming like a girl ? Is that your intention for dragging me to those ride ? “

“ Haha .. well .. kind of .. and I'm impressed that you can bare with it today. “

“ Let's just say .. I've overcome my weakness a little. “

 

Key was known as the scaredy-cat back then but he hardly care when his friends making fun of him with that fact because he

rather to be himself then to pretended to someone else. That's how he is. But everything turned out differently soon after Amber

came into his life. He started to care of what people says about him, only to make sure that he was indeed qualified to be

Amber's boy.

 

He knew that he, himself was slightly weak at certain part compared to his friends and that sometimes made he to thinks

whether it was enough or not to protect his girl who was obviously much tougher than he is. He knows that Amber likes him

for who he is but he thought it's not wrong for him to made some changes either.

 

He started to go to the gym with Jonghyun and Minho which happens to made both of them to felt weird since they knew Key

wasn't the type that will makes himself sweats but later, they just ignored him when they realized how persistent he is with his

decision. He even went to the amusement park for quite a few times already just to try on those thrill rides by himself because

he knows he must overcome his weakness no matter what. By himself ? Yeah .. he's been keeping this part for himself and not

intended at all to tell the gang about it, at least until he can prove the gang that he's not the one that screams like a girl the

whole time whenever they go on the extreme rides.

 

He really want to change this part of him and prove to Amber that she can always depends on him no matter in what kind of

situation. Surprisingly, he even thinks to join the Taekwondo class to improve his self defense technique for an early preparation

because dangers is everywhere and maybe someday, he might also face it, who knows right ? He was indeed exaggerating things

a little bit but everything that he did was only because of Amber since he really love her and he don't want anything bad

happen to her.

 

But seems like his last plan wasn't working out as he's expected because he thought Taekwondo was too much for him when

he witnessed the kicks, the punch and the back-flip by the trainees which then he only end up withdraw from the participation

and only decides to join the class once he's fully ready.

Later on the evening both Key and Yoona have their dinner at the town at a restaurant that was recommended by Yoona.

 

“ How's the food ? “

“ It's pretty good. I like it. “

“ I know you would.. hehe. Anyway, what should we do next ? And don't tell me that you still don't have anything in your

mind Honey. “

Yoona shot him a glare which made Key to let out an awkward laugh.

“ Actually, there is one place that I really want to go. It's been awhile since I didn't step my foot on there since I was too busy

with the school. “

“ Really? Where is it ? “

“ I'll show you later, but for now .. just enjoy our dinner. “

 

It's already almost 8 o'clock when they had finished their dinner and Key drove towards the place soon after that as been

planned earlier.

 

“ Here ? “

Yoona asked once Key stops the car.

“ Yup. Let's go. “

He excitedly went out from his car which then followed by Yoona who looks mesmerized with the place.

“ How did you know this place ? It's pretty calm and quite big. “

“ Someone tells me about this place. Let's walk further and I'm sure you will amazed with the beauty. “

“ Huh ? “

 

Key just dragged Yoona with him and walked until they saw the handrail which that is where the end of the park. Both of them

stood by the handrail dazzled by the scenery before their eyes.

 

“ It's so amazing. Seoul is really beautiful from here. “

“ I know ... “

And idea suddenly popped in his minds which caught Yoona's attention and just wonder what is he's trying to do.

“ Where are you going ? “

“ I'll be back. I promise. Just wait for me there. “

Yoona just nodded, looking at him dumbfounded who's running away from her and he comeback few minutes after that.

“ Urghh .. I'm sweating for the sake of this thing. “

“ What do you have there ? “

He showed her the thing which made Yoona to giggled at him.

“ iPod ? “

 

He just flashed her a wide grin before put one of the earphone into her left ear while he plugged in another one into his left ear

since he was standing with his back rests on the handrail, making himself turned away from the view while Yoona still have her

eyes fixated on the view.

 

“ Trust me .. It's really nice to listen to some music at this kind of place. It's suits with the mode. I've always tried this with ... “

It was a fortunate that he didn't continue his words or else he might end up being question by Yoona later on since it was 

something that related to Amber and himself.

 

Key always missed this place, where he and Amber used to hang out back then. It was the same park that they have their first

night date, the first place that came into his minds whenever he want to find Amber especially when she is missed in action,

the place where they supposed to celebrate their first anniversary and also the place that happens to witnessed their separation.

 

He never forget every moments that they have in that place, the sweets and the bitters had always stays in his minds and that

included the part where they listened to some romantic music while enjoying the view in front of them which is what he's doing

right now with Yoona.

 

“ It's quite romantic this way .. “

“ Huh ? Errm .. yeah .. “

“ It's simple yet .. quite nice huh ? “

 

He just gave her a warmth smiles before shifted back his eyes to a certain place. The area which became his and her' favorite

spot where they will usually sat exactly next to that big tree and his smiles become wider when he remembered the words the

was being engraved on the tree.

 

 

[ Flashback ]

Key hadn't realized that his tomboy girlfriend already fallen asleep on top of his lap the whole time because he was too

preoccupied with the book that he got from Amber earlier. He's not a big reader of comics but Amber are the one who caused

his interests to comics to gained. He only realized that she was asleep when he noticed he talks to himself since there's no

response from her at all. He let out a chuckled when he took a glance at her sleeping face.

 

* She must be tired from her school ... *

 

He placed the book down before took another glance at Amber.

 

* I'll just let her sleep for awhile ... *

 

He grab the chips nearby him and shoved it into his mouth one after another and just wandered his eyes around the foods until

his eyes caught a knife that was placed next to the fruit basket. He took the knife and fortunately the knife could be reached

without him making a lot of movement that might cause Amber to awake from her sleep. Slowly he turned slightly to the sides,

just enough for him to starts carving on the tree.

 

Amber happens to awake by the sudden movement from Key after that and once her eyes was opened, she saw her boyfriend's

were snapping some picture of the tree.

 

“ What are you doing ? “

She asked weirdly which made Key to startled.

“ Sorry, did I woke you up ? “

She nodded her head before slowly get herself sat next to him.

“ What's with the camera ? “

She asked once again while rubbing her eyes.

“ Hehe .. there's something that I want to show you. “

She turned her gaze at him in anticipation.

“ Ready ? “

She nodded in excitement.

“ 1 .. 2 .. “

He moved his body slightly, “ 3 .. TADAA !! “

 

She saw the thing and her eyes widened when she realized what was it actually. Amber wants to take a better look on the words

and unintentionally pushed Key's body away from the tree which caused him to fall down the next to her.

 

“ YAH ! “

He gave her a glare but she just ignored him since she was too stunned looking at the words.

“ Key ... you made this ? “

“ Tsk .. who else ? “

 

She didn't took her eyes away from the carving and just smilingly examined it. Key had carved a really nice heart with their

initials in the middle of the heart and there is also a ' 4-14-12 ' which is a date where they have their first date carved just

below the initials.

 

“ What do you think ? “

“ This is just perfect. I love it. “

She retorted smilingly looking at him.

 

[ End Of Flashback ]

 

 

Key felt a tap on his shoulder so he turned to looked at Yoona since he knew it was from her.

“ Isn't that ... Amber ? “

 

His gaze immediately shifted to where Yoona had pointed at and surprisingly it was Amber that he sees. She was walking along

the handrail towards their direction but her eyes was fixed at the view and that made her not aware that she's being watched by

them until, “ Amber .. “ 

 

Her daze broke when she hears her name being called and was surprised to see Yoona and Key before her eyes.

“ Unnie .. “

She quickly made her way towards Yoona and Key.

“ What are you doing here ? “

Yoona asked her while Key just stared at her face which slightly made Amber to feels uneasy with it.

“ I'm just ... taking a stroll .. “

“ All by yourself ? “

There's a tensed in Key's voice which once again made Amber to feels nervous.

“ So, what about you guys ? Owh .. having your date I guess ... “

 

She decides to made both of them as the focus in here instead of herself. She noticed the iPod in his grip and it only reminds her

of their moment together back then. The funny things is, she also did the same thing on that time, listens to the music through

her iPod.

 

“ Yeah .. Key showed me this place and it was breathtaking ... I didn't thought you knew this place too since it's quite hidden

from the city. “

“ I happens to know this place too. “

“ You shouldn't come alone to this place Amber ... “

Key's words was cut by Yoona.

“ Yeah .. you should come with your boyfriend .. it's more romantic that way .. hehe “

“ Yoona, that's not what I meant .. What I'm trying to say here is it is dangerous to be here all by yourself. “

Key clarified his thought to Yoona before turned back to looked at Amber.

“ Didn't I told you not to be here all alone ? Didn't you promised to be here only if you're with ... “

Amber immediately cut his words, because she knows what he's trying to pointed out there.

“ Errm .. I'll get going now since like Key said, it is dangerous out here .. hehe .. “

Key felt really annoyed with the fact that Amber took his words lightly and he was non-stop glaring at her.

“ Alright. Be careful Amber. “

“ Bye unnie .. Key ... “

She bid goodbye to both of them before headed her way towards her ride while Key just looked at her figure until she was

completely disappears from his sight.

“ Are you alright ? Why did you looked so tensed ? “

“ I was dead worried for her and she just took lightly of my words that's why I'm pissed. “

His retorted annoyingly which made Yoona to startled.

“ She's fine right ? “

“ I know .. but what if something bad happens to her ? What if we didn't saw her just now ? “

“ There's nothing happens to her. You should be glad for that and not exaggerating things Key. “

 

Yoona slightly felt annoyed with Key's attitude by that time and she hate to admit that she's actually felt quite jealous with the

fact that Amber got all of his attention and not her. She had never seen Key being so restless like he is right now and she knew it

was all because he is worried about Amber.

 

The atmosphere become awkward after that and he knows it was all because of him.

“ Sorry about that. “

“ It's ok. “

“ It just ... I'm worried for her that's all. She's still a girl. “

“ Yeah .. I understand that. “

“ But, there's something more .. She looks down just now and I wondered what's behind that long face that she had. “

“ Maybe, she just thinks about her problem with L. “

That eventually caught Key's attention.

“ L ? What's wrong with them ? “

“ Owh .. you didn't know about this ? “

“ About what exactly ? “

“ L has made a confession, and he tells his feelings to her. L likes Amber. “

Key was obviously shocked with what he just heard and he really don't like what just Yoona tells him.

“ M-mwo ? H-he likes Amber ? “

There's a mixed feelings inside his heart, anger, jealously, sad and more that he can't even describe.

“ Yeah .. don't they looks cute if they're end up together ? “

“ No ! “

He answers annoyingly while looking away.

“ Well, I ships Myungber. “

“ What was that ? He's not suits with Amber at all. How can you even think that they might end up together ? I'm sure Amber

won't choose him. “

“ What made you so sure about that ? “

Key was lost at words and just avoid her eyes, trying to hide his nervousness.

“ Key, I know that you used to hate Amber but can't you be a little supportive on this ? I mean .. L is a good guy for her and

finally you can put away your worries about her since she had someone that can take care of her now. “

Key just stays silence after that which made Yoona to get frustrated over his attitude tonight.

“ I hate to say this but I don't like our date this time. I didn't thought that we will spends our date talking about someone else

matter aside from us. “

“ Yoona .. “

“ Let's just go back .. it's pretty late anyway. “

She quickly get herself up which made Key to looked at her dumbfounded.

“ Yoona .. I .. “

“ Don't worry. I forgive you this time since it was Amber, my favorite dongsaeng but I won't tolerate if it involved other girl.

You hear me Key ? “

She shot him a glare which made Key to only chuckled at her.

“ I'm serious Key. “

“ I know .. let's go now. “

Shinee's House

 

Key don't think that he's still have any energy left for him to made the steps towards his room so he just decides to laid his tired

body on the couch at the living room.

 

It's not the date that made him to be in the tiredness but it was more to a mentally fatigue. He received quite a blow with the fact

that there's another guy out there who's already have his eyes on his beloved one and what made it felt more pathetic is that

person happens to be his own friend and even her'. He's not ready for any rivals when he, himself not in the position to defend

his love, just like right now. He wasn't expected another problem to rise when the real problem that he face still hasn't been

resolves.

 

He was actually afraid of the consequences of losing her to someone else though he knows that there's still love in between him

and Amber but that doesn't makes him to stop worrying about the possibilities that someday she might fall for other person.

And what did it mean by might ? She might have tired of waiting for him and decides to just move on. That thought had really

bothered his minds.

 

“ Why are you sleeping here when you have a cozy room ? “

“ I thought you had asleep. “

He took the hot drink from Jonghyun's hand.

“ Thanks. “

He uttered before Jonghyun could even take his seat.

“ I can't since Luna keep on buzzing me with her messages. “

Key shot a confused gaze listening to his words.

“ Her pays for made me jealous the whole day. “

Key just chuckled at his explanation and he burst into laughed when Jonghyun showed the latest message that he got from

Luna, begging for his forgiveness.

“ Haha .. she's been punished alright. But, a little advice for you .. don't over doing it or you might end up crying on your kneels

later on. “

“ I put that in mind .. hehe. So, what's up with you ? “

Key heaved a big sighed when he remembered back about his worries.

“ Hyung, I wonder if you know about this or not but L ... “

“ The confession thing ? Yeah ... I knew about that. “

“ Huh ? Then, why don't you tell me ? “

“ Because of ... this .. “

He pointed at Key's long face.

“ Still, you should let me know. It was weird to hear it from Yoona you know ? “

Jonghyun just let out a chuckle before took a sip of his drink.

“ You shouldn't act this way Key. You had made your choice. It was unfair for both Amber and Yoona. “

“ I thought I can handle it at first but I guess, I just made a big mistake. “

“ Then, make an effort to correct things. Choose either Amber or Yoona. “

“ It was always Amber but I just couldn't break Yoona's heart. “

“ It's not too late Key. Fight for your love or just let her free. “

“ Hyung ... “

 

“ I'm not sure if you noticed this but Amber was bounded to your love, Key, and that's the real reason for her to unable to move

on. Did you know that she had rejected L without even thinks twice ? And she did it because she believes that there is still hope

for both of you to get back together. You're giving her some hope that I'm not sure whether it's even worth or not for her waits.

I know you didn't asks her to wait but your acts towards her shows everything. If you think you're just giving her a false hope,

then, just give up on her and let her free. Let her open her heart for someone else. “

 

Key felt a ppang in his heart while listening to every each of Jonghyun's words. He knows that Jonghyun only said that because

of his cares for Amber just like he did but he couldn't hide the fact that his heart was hurt by his words. He was expecting

Jonghyun to comfort him and maybe gave him some words of encouragement or anything that can help him in solving his

problem but what he get just now wasn't pleasant to his ears. It seems like Jonghyun's trust on him had slowly faded.

 

“ Are you trying to say that you're approving L and Amber together ? “

“ I didn't see anything wrong for that. At least, there is someone that could take care of her heart. “

“ Have you lost your faith on me hyung ? “

“ I haven't Key but you have to show me that it's a worth of believing in you. If you do love Amber, you have to fight for it even

if it need you to break another heart. Should I mention that L is still hasn't giving up ? “

Key bit his lower lip. Just listen to L's determination made him to feels so anxious.

“ She might as well fall for his charms if you didn't make your move. Human will get tired and I'm sure someday Amber will feel

the same. She might feel tired of waiting for you. “

He patted the younger back trying to soothes his anxiousness.

“ Do you understand of what I'm trying to say here ? “

Key just gave a nod.

“ Hyung, at times I felt like you're on my sides but I also felt like you're on L's sides. “

“ Let just think it as a stimulant to make you aware of the real situation. “

“ And it works well on me because I'm fully awake right now. “

Both of them just giggled to each other.
