11^th May

 

They have 3 more days until it reach 14^th May which is the day where both of them are going to celebrate their one month

anniversary and both of them have decided on not seeing each other until the day come. Just something about preparing their

surprises for each other and also, “ In that way we will miss each other more .. hehe “

That's was what Key thought in his minds which made Amber to just chuckle at his cheesiness.

 

Both Key and Amber had everything planned in their minds for the anniversary and they're so excited while counting the days.

They did not contact each other, nor have a dinner together too. One of them will yield if their friends happen to eat together at

either the boys' or the girls' house and have their lunch or dinner outside.

“ So, where is she having her dinner ? “

“ Molla. “

“ Did she miss me ? “

“ Molla. “

“ Aish ! Noona ! Be serious. “

“ Why don't you ask her yourself ? “

“ I can't. You know that we made those 3 days pact right ? “

“ Then, just bare with it. “

“ I can't. I'm so curious about her life without me. “

“ Tsk .. it's not even last for a day. “

“ Just tell me. Did she mentioned that she miss me ? “

“ For God sake ! I'm trying to eat here ! “

Key was startled by Victoria's sudden yelling but that didn't make him to stop being annoying to her.

“ Yah ! I'm starting to lost my appetite because of you. “

Jonghyun blurted while glaring at Key annoyingly.

“ But .. “

“ Key oppa .. I will tell you everything that you need to know if you keep your mouth shut so that we can enjoy our dinner

first ! “ Krystal stared at him with her icy glares which easily made Key to agreed to her.

“ So .. “

“ Don't you see what I'm doing right now ? Can't you wait ? “

“ I see it clearly that you're washing the dishes and no, I can't wait for more. “

“ Minho oppa .. “ Krystal pleaded for a help.

“ Sorry Krys ... you know how this Diva is. “

Minho just chuckled at his girlfriend while helping her with the dishes.

“ Fine .. what do you want to know ? “

She's finally given in.

“ Did she miss me ? “

“ Molla. “

“ Yah ! You're starting to act more like Vic noona. “

“ I really don't know. “

“ Didn't she mentioned anything about me ? “

“ Nope. Not at all. “

“ Mwo ? Seriously ? “

Krystal just nodded to him with her eyes still fixated on the dishes.

“ Where did she have her dinner tonight ? “

“ I'm not sure but what I'm sure is she's right now with L oppa. “

“ WHAT ??! “

“ Jah ! Oppa ! Your voice .. urgghh !! “

She gave a smack on Key's back but Key didn't say anything about that since he was still in shocked.

“ What's wrong with you ? “

Minho asked when he saw Key's expression.

“ What is she's doing with him ? “

“ Dinner. Didn't I told you just now ? “

“ I know that .. but, why L ? She have a lot of girl friends in her class why did she have to choose a boy ? “

“ Isn't it obvious that both of them are close to each other ? “

“ Come on, Key. It's just L. What's with a big fuss ? They're just friends and you knew it better right ? “

Minho has a point there but that doesn't made Key's heart at ease.

“ We were talking about L here. “

“ And your point is ? “

“ I don't know. I just feels defeated when it comes to L. “

“ What was that all about ? Jealous of him ? “

“ Who won't ? He's handsome and girls loves him. “

“ So, you think Amber will fall for him too ? “

Key just nodded which made Minho and Krystal to laughed at him.

“ You don't know what chu been talking about Key. Amber won't stop loving you if you're so worried about that. She has

devoted her heart for you for the past few years and I'm sure it was not easy for her to stop loving you. “

Key looked at both of them in flustered.

 

He knew that Amber loves him but he never know the fact that Amber had loved him for years.

 

* Years ? It means .. she has loved me from the beginning ? *

 

“ Why did he's smiling like that ? “

Krystal asked Minho while looking at Key weirdly.

“ Must be something about Amber. “

Minho retorts in chuckle before gave a light flicked on Key's forehead.

“ YAH !! “

“ You're spacing out dude ! “

Key just gave a merong before headed his way towards the living room leaving Minstal alone in the kitchen.

Next Day

Nicole's Apartment

 

“ Mind to explain about this guy ? “

Nicole gave a glare at Jinwoon while pointing at Key who just looked at both of them with a poker face.

“ He want to tag along. “

“ And you allowed him ? Aren't we supposed to spends our quality time together ? “

Nicole sounded annoyed which made Jinwoon to become restless.

“ I know .. but .. it's Key .. I can't do anything with this guy. “

Nicole just stomped her feet towards the kitchen in pissed, leaving Jinwoon and Key dumbfounded.

“ Yah ! It was all your fault. Help me here. “

Jinwoon give a glare before heading towards Nicole.

“ Nicole, what's for lunch ? “

“ YAH ! KIM KIBUM !! “

Both Jinwoon and Nicole shouted at him from the kitchen in annoyance which made Key to only chuckled at them.

He always loves to tease this couple that way.

 

 

“ I swear to kick you out if this happen again. “

“ You hear that Key ? So, stop bugging us. “

“ You too, Jinwoonie. I will do the same if you bring this guy again. “

Jinwoon gulped when Nicole uttered those.

“ Where's Amber ? Why don't you have your lunch with her ? “

“ We made a 3 days pact on not seeing each other and today is the second day. “

“ Why ? “

“ So that we will miss each other more. “

“ Urghh ! You guys does creeps me out with your cheesiness. “

Jinwoon started to feel the queasiness inside him while Nicole just giggled at him.

“ We should do the same sometimes Woonie. It must be fun. “

“ Better don't. Who knows what might he do behind your back later on Nicole. “

Key smiled mischievously at Jinwoon which made him uneasy.

“ YAH ! I'm not that kind of person. “

“ Yeah .. he won't dare to do something like that to me. “

Nicole looked at him with a ' don't-you-even-dare ' look on her face which once again made Jinwoon to gulped.

“ Haha .. I didn't thought Jinwoon is afraid of you. “

“ I'm not afraid of her. “

“ Yeah .. sure you are. “

“ He just love me .. right Woonie ? “

Jinwoon just nodded to her with his eye smiles.

Key was lying on his tummy, looking at the old photo album that Nicole had while the Jincole couple were sitting on the couch,

watching the TV.

 

“ Look at this. It's supposed to be our class picture but it turned out differently because of this tomboy. “

Key shows the picture which made Jincole to chuckled at it.

“ If you noticed, Amber was everywhere. She's in the senior's pictures and even in the junior's too. “

“ Yeah .. why did she have to ruined everyone's pictures ? Hehe “

Key just shook his head when he remembered how childish Amber on that time.

“ But, she loves our class the most and now I know why ... “

Jinwoon said in a smirked while looking at Key who's still busy browsing the pictures.

“ Eh ? “

His eyes widened when he saw the next picture.

 

It was a picture of him with Nicole, Jinwoon and Yoona but what made him in shocked is the way he had his arms around

Yoona and at the same time Yoona gave him a peck on his cheek. His heart suddenly pounded rapidly and he could feel that

his hand started to get sweaty because of the picture. He tried to remember the reason behind that picture but it was only made

his head to throbs.

 

“ What's wrong Key ? “

Nicole asked when she noticed something different in Key's expression.

“ I just .. why did she .. “

He couldn't find any words that suits with his thought, so he just showed her the picture.

Nicole's eyes widened in surprised before she took a glance at Jinwoon, to ask him for a help.

“ Don't you remember anything Key ? “

Jinwoon asked while Key just shook his head.

“ Well, it was nothing. She just fooled around on that time. “

He hope that was enough to convinced Key.

“ Wait ! Isn't that .. Amber ? “

He pointed at the girl who stood way behind their back in the same picture.

“ Where ? “

“ That one .. don't you see it ? She was with a group of girls but only she who turned to look at the camera. “

 

Both Jinwoon and Nicole had their eyes narrowed just to find Amber in that picture and their mouth formed an ' O ' once

they spotted it. They had never noticed that until now, when Key mentions it to them.

 

“ Told ya .. she was everywhere. “

Jinwoon said in chuckled followed by Key.

“ But Woonie .. I don't think the camera that she's been looking at ... “

Nicole uttered hesitantly while looking at Jinwoon which made both Jinwoon and Key to examined back the picture.

“ You're right ! She's not looking at the camera ... “

Said Jinwoon when he noticed the differences before his eyes shifted to Key who's right now grinning sheepishly with his

eyes still fixated on the picture.

“ She's looking at me .. “

Key blurted out with a chuckle which made both Jinwoon and Nicole to smiled slyly at him.

“ I wonder if she's already have something for me by that time .. “

Key didn't went back to his house after that and just headed his way towards his parents' house since he thought it was so

suffocated staying there when he can't even met his own girlfriend who happen to stays only around 20 steps from his house.

Not to mention Amber too, who really did a good job by avoiding Key which also surprised him. He was totally wrong when he

thought he can at least caught a glimpse of her sight but Amber was too superb in hiding herself.

 

He's actually having a really hard time trying to endure himself from meeting or even give a call to Amber because of the pact

that they've made. It was good enough that he can bare it in within these two days but he's afraid he can't contain it anymore

so he decided to stay away from Amber. He will always looked at her house from his balcony every night which he thought will

at least cure his longing for his beloved girlfriend and it was obviously not working since it will always end up gave him more

harder time.

 

“ Aaah .. it's all done. “

Said Key as he browsed to the list that he did for their anniversary surprise.

“ One more day Amber Liu then I can hug you .. kiss you .. keke “

His face started to blushed when suddenly he thought of her kiss.

“ Jahh !! Stop it Key ! “

He slapped his face lightly for his own punishment. “ That's hurt ! “

“ Aish !! Another 28 hours to go .. and I already feel like dying here. “

 

He put the list down after that before headed his way towards the closet trying to look into something nice that he can

wear on their anniversary since he can't find anything nice from his closet at his house earlier.

 

“ Hmm .. nothing seems to clicks for that day. Then, shopping is the answer for me. “

He was about to close the closet when his eyes captured a medium sized box underneath the last shelf.

“ I don't remember of having this in my room. “

He took the box out with a lot of curiosity in his minds.

“ Let see .. what I have in here. “

The first thing that he saw once the box is opened is, “ Card ? “

 

With few books underneath it, a couple of photo frames which was placed back side up, some gifts like plush toys, a one small

white box and few others like photo album. He took the card out before reading it.

“ Pretty doll .. who ? Why does it looks familiar to me ? “

He think and think until he remembered about it. “ The photo ? “

He looked around the room but find nothing that he want. 

“ Where is it ? I thought I put it on the table ? “

 

He walked towards the table and starts to search all over the place but it was not there. The photo that he's been looking for is

the one that he saw once he stepped into his room for the first time after he's being discharged from the hospital few months

ago. It was the photo of him and Yoona where he saw the word ' Pretty Doll ' next to Yoona's picture and that's the reason for

him to look for it right now.

 

“ That's weird .. I'm sure I didn't throw that thing away. “

He was still busy looking for it around his room when a knock on the door startled him which happened to be Mrs Kim.

“ What are you doing ? “

“ Huh ? Umma .. have you see ... owh .. what's that ? “

His minds was totally been distracted when he saw Mrs Kim holding something on her hand.

“ Someone send this to you. “

“ Huh ? Who ? “

“ Just take this and you'll know. “

“ Dae ? “

Without further, Mrs Kim just handed him the little box before quickly rushed out of the room to avoid being questioned by Key.

 

“ Cake ? “

There's slightly confusion shows on Key's face as he opened the box where he can only sees two slices of cakes in it.

“ Who could have gave me this ? “

He explored the box to find anything like a card or note and finally he found one that were sticked at the one side of the box.

 

A late night snack for your stomach.

I'd one of these with Dongjun and L earlier and you happened to invades my minds

while I'm enjoying it.

So, here is for you, though we clearly states that we won't contact each other within these 3 days.

But, it's not like I'm seeing you right ? Hehe.

 

One more thing.

Tomorrow will be our last pact day.

“ Is she's trying to tell me that she miss me or just want to make me jealous ? “

He was referring to the part where she mentioned Dongjun and L's name in her note.

“ Where is the I miss you part ? “

He knows that she misses him but he thought it would be better if she mention it in there.

“ Wait ! She must be here awhile ago ! “

 

He put the note down and immediately dashed out of his room towards downstairs before making his way out of the house.

Mrs Kim who happened to saw that just shook her head because she was sure it was because of Amber. Key looked around

his house but he only left in disappointment when he noticed that there's not even a glimpse of human around there.

 

“ She can't go just like that ... at least ... aish !! I feel regretted right now with that stupid pact ! “

He then lazily walked into the house.

“ What's into you Kibum ? “

His mother asked with her eyes still fixated on the magazine that she held.

“ Amber is here just now right ? “

Mrs Kim just nodded to it.

“ Why don't you tell me ? “

“ She asked me not to. “

“ Why don't you stop her ? “

“ Well, who made the pact at the first place ? “

She chuckled at him when she said that.

“ Who told you that ? Amber ? “

Once again she nodded to him which made him heaved a big sighed.

“ She refused to meet you so I ask her the reason and she tells me that as an explanation. “

Key didn't say anything and just sighed repeatedly.

“ And I can see that you're regrets with that idea of yours. “

“ He's indeed a fool. “

Said Amber to herself when she saw Key already heading his way towards his house.

 

She was hiding at the corner of the neighborhood where she can see clearly Key from that place. She was about to headed her

way home when suddenly a feeling tells her to stop and wait for Key and indeed she was right about that since Key did really

went out to find her. She couldn't hear at thing that Key said at that time but by the face she just know that Key was in a

disappointment.

 

“ What did he think ? Why did he have to find me when we clearly states that we're not going to see each other for

three days ? “

“ I guess, I just violated the rules right now, by looking at him. “

“ Hmm .. one more day and we'll see each other again Key. “

 

At first Amber didn't know that Key was staying in his parents' house for the night and only knew it when Jonghyun spilled

that to her once she got his text message that evening. She had the sudden feelings of missing him even more when she knew

that Key was staying away. Well, she already is when she's not seeing him and the idea of him staying more further from her

makes the feelings worsen.

 

Like Key, she will also taking glances over his house hoping that she can find a glimpse of him but it was useless since Key was

also no better from her, trying his best hiding himself from her.

 

“ Aaah .. I better go now before I miss that mouse even more. “

13^th May

 

Key only planned to go back to his house on the day after and spends his day at his parents' house until then. As been

planned last night, he did went to the mall to find something nice that can be wear on his anniversary date with Amber

tomorrow.  

 

At the end he glad that he found something that caught his eyes. It was a jacket with a jeans kind of material with a

navy blue checkered shirt and a light brown jeans.

 

After done with the shopping, he proceeded his way to the restaurant where he choose to have their romantic dinner on that

day later on the evening.

 

“ Welcome. “

“ Hi, I'm Kim Kibum. I've made a reservation earlier for two person for the 14^th May. “

“ I'll check it for you sir. “

He just nodded and waited until the staff done with the checking.

“ Yes, there is a reservation under your name on the 14^th May sir. So, can I help you with it ? “

“ Alright, so I'm here to discuss further about it and also for the meals selection on that day .. “

“ Sure, sir. This way please. “

 

After finished with the discussion, the staff then lead him towards the reserved table and Key was absolutely satisfied with it

since it was like what he want all along, a romantic kind of place which have a little fountain nearby it and with an enough

privacy for only both Amber and him.

 

He knew that Amber might feel uneasy with too much of romantic mood in the air but he hardly care since he thought this is

what the atmosphere of anniversary supposed to be. Yes, he's quite cliché about that but he knew everything will turned out

perfectly fine when Amber is with him even though he give her something that usually been done by other guy out there like

this romantic dinner.

 

“ This is just nice. I'll be going then. Thank you once again. “

He bowed to the staff before headed his way out of the restaurant.

 

 

He planned on giving her a mystery date on the morning since they will have a dinner together later on the evening. He got

this idea when he browsed on the Internet the other day which he thought it was really a fun thing to try.

 

So, how does this date work actually ? First he will prepare something that could be use as hints like a piece of note which

will be given to Amber and those hint will lead her towards Key. But, he will assigned other person except him to give her

those hint. So, he didn't waste anymore time and start to work on his plan.

Jonghyun asked Minho while he just shook his head.

Amber knew that Key won't be back not until tomorrow, so she decided to start with her surprise by that evening.

“ Amber, what are you doing there ? Can I come in ? “

Jonghyun knocked the door but was startled when Amber shouts, “ ANDWAE !!! “

“ Just leave her hyung. It must be her surprise for Key. “

“ I know that but she just too suspicious. “

“ Ha-ha ! That's what a surprise really mean anyway. Let's go ! “

Minho just dragged Jonghyun away from there so that he won't disturb their tomboy dongsaeng anymore.
