CHAPTER THIRTEEN / You're the Kind of Boy That I Write Love Poems About
For your eyes only (I show you my heart)
Your reddish-brown hair, it teases me with your smirking grin.
Your ethereal eyes peering at me through glasses, painting blush upon my skin.
Your warm gaze, that’s all it takes to gain control over me.
I thought my heart had a tighter lock, but it seems you have the key.
To hold you, love you gently, is all that I desire.
And to hear your words; you’re the genius I’ve always admired.
Are you the one for me, I still wonder?
Has someone else caught your eye?
Perhaps your heart has begun to wander.
How could I resist someone like you?
I may love you more than you love yourself.
One time there was, I had a love.
Stronger than any seam sewn, carried upon the wings of a dove.
Like a bird, you make my heart take flight.
High into the sky, my love soars higher to new heights.
This feeling shall never die.
Oh, the stars up above, they gaze down at you.
The only one that I love, your heart I wish to win.
Oh your eyes; Soft Hazel, so dazzling that puts warmth to shame.
You have a heart so true, a heart brighter than the moonlight.
This beauty worth more than anything sold, so many talents you have.
My soul emits a wolf’s howl, hoping your love shall last.
Your aura heals my loneliness.
With you, I’m not alone.
But until I confess, I’ll watch you from afar.
The only love I’ve ever known.
“Hyun, did you just read a poem from my diary?”
“W-Well, I didn’t mean to read it out loud. No, I mean I didn’t intend to read it at all.” Joohyun stammered as he carefully returned the diary on its place. “It was on your study-desk, and it was open. I guess I was just too curious.”
“It’s alright,” Seungwan chortled. “I remember that Sana cleaned my study-desk two days ago. Maybe she forgot to put it in the drawer.”
“You’re not mad?” Joohyun scratched the back of his neck.
“I’m rather embarrassed.” Seungwan mumbled, face red as a tomato.
“Embarrassed? C’mon that poem was fantastic.”
“Fantastic, huh…”
“It is.” Joohyun patted her head. “Did you write it recently?”
“No, I wrote it five years ago when I was thirteen. It was written for nobody, that’s why I’m embarrassed.” The blind girl sighed.
The boy could only laugh softly.
“So, Seungwan… you like boys with reddish-brown hair and hazel eyes, hmm?” Joohyun said with a tone of tease in his voice. “I’m honored to read that part in the poem. I happened to have reddish-brown hair and hazel eyes
