CHAPTER NINE / Love-sick Teenagers
For your eyes only (I show you my heart)
“Hey Hyun, are you in love with Wannie?”
Jisoo asked while brushing her teeth in her brother’s bathroom.
The Bae twins stopped sharing the same bedroom as soon as they hit puberty at age thirteen, but Jisoo sleeps over at Joohyun’s once in a while whenever their two little sisters invade her room and claim it as their own.
Joy and Roseanne always saw her room as a fairytale palace, so Jisoo couldn’t really blame them.
Joohyun scoffed. “Spit it out, idiot. I didn’t understand a word.”
The female twin spit out the foam, quickly rinsed her móuth and repeated her question.
“Are you in love with Wannie?”
Upon hearing that, Joohyun suddenly felt a bit dizzy. He placed his hands on the sink to steady himself.
He never talked about his feelings with anyone, not even with Seulgi, his very best friend since they were in diapers.
Was his feelings that obvious? Did Jisoo really see through his heart?
He wouldn’t be surprised because after all, his twin sister had the ability to read people very well like an open book.
“You answer me, am I in love with Son Seungwan?” Joohyun stared at his and Jisoo’s reflection on the mirror.
“Yes, you are madly, deeply, catastrophically, and pathetically in love with Son Seungwan.” Jisoo replied, simple as that without missing a beat.
Although her answer was dramatic, Joohyun knew that the girl was just being honest.
“Pathetically?” He quirked a brow.
“Yep, pathetically because you’re pathetic, Bae Joohyun.”
“And why am I pathetic?”
“Because you won’t admit your feelings to your dream girl.”
“Confess? Hell no, I can’t ruin my friendship with her.”
“Listen to me, doofus.” Jisoo sat on the edge of the bathtub, beckoning her brother to do the same. “Confessing doesn’t always ruin friendships. Things may get awkward, but eventually everything will be back to normal.”
“How are you so sure of that, missy?” Joohyun crossed his arms over his chest.
“Dunno, just saying.” Jisoo
